...unless it is rock and roll played by ac/dc. i f***ing HATE them. they are overplayed so much on the radio, and that is the most annoying voice i have ever heard in my life. don't waste your money on this cd, just turn on the radio...then turn it off.

A great tribute to Bon.......2007-01-17

I never intended to write a review for this seeing as it needed no introduction. After reading through what other people have said about it I've got to do something. To say this album is amazing doesn't do it justice. The greatest rock album of all time coming from the greatest rock band of all time. With Angus Young on lead guitar supplying enough energy to run a small country, and his brother Malcolm who both come up with the great riffs we all know. Cliff Williams supplying expert rythm along with Phil Rudd who are both on top of their game. Brian Johnson the new comer, replacing Bon Scott who had mysteriously died after a long night of drinking on February 19, 1980. The opening track, Hell's Bells, starts with church bells ringing (obviously a tribute to Bon) then goes on to Angus's classic riff. The legendary title track, Back in Black, which you've heard regardless of your taste in music. Then closes with Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, a song influenced by Angus's love of the blues. Every song on this album is a classic. So do yourself a favor and buy this you won't regret it.

What I wouldn't give to have been born 20 years earlier. I'm only 23 but I appreciate great rock and roll when I hear it. In a time when most radio station music consists of junk like Fall Out Boy and Beyonce, it seems amazing to me that the airwaves used to be dominated with real music like AC/DC.

This cd is incredible. The 6th best selling cd ever is filled with 10 strong songs, no filler or weak songs. Brian's voice here is the best it ever was before he became all raspy, and the guitars and drums are great as always. If you appreciate loud, real rock and roll, this cd is for you.

There's a reason these songs are played at every baseball and football game, still played on the radio, and why people are still buying up AC/DC albums like they were just released. Best album ever from the best band ever.

Some might think that I'm too young to be into this kind of music being only 21 but music like this is timeless and I love classics in any of the music genres I enjoy.

This record right here I'd confidently say is the embodiment of the spirit of rock 'n f**king roll ladies and gentlemen. Why? Just listen to the enthusiasm oozing from each group member. Brian Johnson has that raspy wail perfect for the debauchery and fun these guys stand for, the Youngs know how play simple yet very effective riffs and solos, Cliff is a decent bassist and Paul Rudd does some nice fills and gets the percussion job done very well for this kind of music. To say that the musicianship here is average is pretty unfair because like I said these guys create VERY memorable licks that appeal to everyone. Super technicality and virtuosity are not always necessary to create a winner like this. In fact from what I've heard and seen around AC/DC, Zeppelin, etc are very popular among kids my age (college kids) I mean I see at least 2 or 3 AC/DC or Zep t-shirts daily while going around campus. What's also so awesome about these guys is that this makes great party music that everyone can agree on. That's critical because most party music college kids like is sh**ty modern rap or the like and anyone with an IQ above 60 hates modern rap with its tasteless misogyny and cliche gangstar-isms. I mean what's better G-Unit or AC/DC? Exactly.

Actually I've always liked Brian Johnson better than Bon, just by a little. This is also their best album by far, "Dirty Deeds" was pretty good, then HTH was even better but this is their zenith. Unfortunately they started declining after this but not too badly. This is also the only album of theirs I'd give a full 5 stars to. So if you're only going to buy one then buy this.

I mean come on people let's look at some of the fun songs on here. The opener is amazing with its slow brooding melody, Shoot to Thrill is dead on saying "too many women with too many pills" and boy is THAT true even 26 years later. Have a Drink On Me is another awesome party song and how could you not like the rock anthem "Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution"? I think pretty much anyone can relate to these songs which adds to its greatness.

On the other hand I can definitely sympathize with my metal loving peers on the fact that this band is overrated as a whole but this album is still very cool and I think should be in ANYONE'S collection.
