This cd could be your discovery of the year!.......2001-03-15

Out of the hundreds of singer songwriters who started recording in the nineties, only 20 or 30 developed a personal and distinctive voice. One of them is Richard Berman. After listening to one of his cd's you will be able to recognize his songs once you hear his mellow high voice. His previous cd "Dreamer", was for me one of the greatest discoveries of the nineties. And this one is as good as Dreamer, which is a lot to say. Berman's songs are well crafted, and they can be labeled as folk, or pure folk. He reminds me of t Dave Mallett, Gordon Lightfoot and James Taylor. And I am sure that given the chance and the promotion of a big label he could very well stand near these luminaries. A joy to listen to.
