Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic.......2006-03-28

This is one of Battlefield Band's early albums and it has a lot of trad tunes on it and several songs. Particularly worthy of note is the only song I've heard to date that falls firmly in the category of "Scots ballad" that actually has a happy ending! Lang Johnnie Moir. Compare this song to "The Cruel Brother" and see what you think. There is a lot of music on this CD/album that is worth listening to, but if you're looking to limit Battlefield Band's scope to all non-electronic instruments or strictly trad instruments, you'd best move on. It's a good look at where Battlefield Band started early on.
