Customer Reviews:
Unique Presentation of Several Genres.......2002-05-12
I've seen Bedlam Abbey perform live -- a magical experience -- and this CD captures their concert energy nicely. The music of Bedlam Abbey is very reminiscent of Steeleye Span. I love this CD in part because it represents musical styles that are almost entirely ignored on the radio. (I think if they *were* on the radio they'd be very well received!)
Loch and Quay offers songs both marvelously upbeat and smooth and sweet with rich vocals and innovative instrumentation. How to describe it? Ummm -- Celtic/Renaissance/Medieval/Energetic/Beautiful. Is that a word?
