I am very impressed with this CD. I recently moved away from the Chicago area and pop 'Afternoon in Aberdeen' in my stereo whenever I'm missing home or just want to hear some good music. The band has a distinct sound that makes them stand above the rest. 'Davenport Street' is my favorite track but I enjoy all of them. The songs vary in theme from reflective, thought-provoking topics to just-for-fun lyrics. They successfully combine folk and rock with a dash of country to create a unique album that is in a category by itself. I expect (and have seen) great things from this group. My advice to you is: go see them live. Yes, the CD is amazing, but when you see them live you can observe the energy and passion they put into their music. So all of you Chicago area music fans...go check them out. Just to remind you, I am not a publicist...just a devoted fan who wants to share my love for their music. BUY THIS CD...you won't regret it.
