Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Amazing mix of music, politics, and rythym.......2001-12-20

Antara and Gooselove have produced an amazing compilation of energizing and thought-provoking music that is food for the soul...some songs are lighter while others touch on more serious issues...check out "Daddy daddy" "Sometimes a fork, sometimes a spoon" (those may not be the actual track titles, but it identifies the song) Plus, these are independent artists...support them!

4 out of 5 stars Hell Yeah.......2001-10-03

As a strong follower of Gooselove and Antara, I've enjoyed their music for a few years now. Whether it's an intimate Freak Show at the BW lounge or a jump up and dance around jam at Fire and Water, their music always stirs something inside me. Poignant words that convey the struggle of a myriad of social, economic, and sexual groups are highlighted by the passion of Gooselove's litany. With help from the amazing women of Ember Swift, and others, this CD is a fun, upbeat romp that brings you a differing, unique viewpoint on the many facets of life.

5 out of 5 stars What the World Needs Now!.......2001-06-19

Wow! It warms my heart to hear artists not only pushing and crossing the boundaries of musical styles, but to also push our understaning of current issues and politics too is what makes this record so good to me. I love how this record talks about all kinds of issues (racism, domestic violence, working conditions, etc.), and is funky, folky, hip-hoppy and pretty all at once. I can't take it out of my player!
