Customer Reviews:
Best of David Kleiner yet!.......2001-10-15
Some favorites that come to mind:
* "Mr. Bean" is a catchy 50's tune along the lines of "Johnny B. Good" about none-other-than Mr. Bean and Mr. Clean!
* Any good salesman worth his swag needs to hear the tongue-in-cheek rock anthem "The Salesman" in order to be reminded how to "close the sale".
* If you have nosy but chatty neighbors, you will be able to relate to the Mr. Rogers-ish tune "The Burtons" about neighbors who constantly chatter about nothing.
* There are many songs out about other holidays, but none like the crisp bluegrass flavor of of the original "Good Friday", especially when it comes from a Jewish perspective!
* But my absolute favorite and apparently the favorite of other Kleiner fans is the multi-cultured "Don't Fall in Love with a Mexican Rabbi" - a trip to a Jewish synagogue in Mexico with a clever combination of Mexican and Jewish references, a ditty that you can't help but sing along with!
I fully expect to see David Kleiner opening for someone like David Wilcox in the near future. If you enjoy clever, funny and sometimes poignant lyrics, singable melodies, and just darn good songwriting, I highly recommend getting SESAC songwriter David Kleiner's "The Salesman"! You won't be disappointed!
