In the sometimes cookie cutter world of "small time" folk artists, Morgan Rowe stands out. Her original songs are insightful, poignant slices of life...relationships, desires, commentaries on society, and one very nice "storytelling ballad" that plays like a more uptempo 90's answer to "Edmund Fitzgerald"...again based on a true life experience from her days in the Coast Guard. Her rich alto voice compliments well her sparse folk arrangemets, reminiscent of Mary Chapin Carpenter. If you like solid, low key, well crafted folk tunes, check this one out.

The CD is almost as captivating as seeing Morgan perform in person. Cutting lyrics with a soulful sound. This artist needs to be famous
