Part of the low cost "International Music Series" by this label that showcases music as it would be popularly played in cafes and clubs worldwide. Modern instruments including drums, tambourine, zills, violin, bass guitar and other strings, and keyboards played for a traditional sound typical for cabaret performances. Other instruments include a trumpet on track 5. Track 4 has a distinct Greek flavor by featuring a bouzouki. Tracks 8, 9, and 12 include some perky synthesized sounds guarranteed to raise some eyebrows and excitement. Finally, Anadolu Ciftetelli (track 9) will get an audience clapping in rhythm. The only slow tempo dance is Antep Ciftetelli (track 5), the rest are moderate to fast. Play times range from 1:01 for Malatya Malatya (the Armenian Sepastia Bar) and 8:03 for Arap Ciftetelli.
