A gorgeous interpretation of swing classics by a group of consummate jazz and acoustic musicians. Clean, crisp, beautiful arrangements weaving mandolin, clarinet, rhythm guitar, bass, cornet and flugelhorn into a single fabric that seems to give off warmth and light. Wonderful debut CD by a new label. May there be many more as good as this.

this is a great collection of old favorites presented in a fantastically new way -- and it is so basic -- a rhythm guitar, a madolin, and bass supported by a cornet or a flugelhorn or a clarinet -- in my car i always "hit 8" -- a delightful rendition of "if i had you" ----scott wallenfelsz
