After hearing Kathryn Roberts CD with Kate Rusby, I immediately looked to see if she had anything else available. Seeing this album and the second (V.2), I was thrilled. When the two albums finally arrived, they lived up to all of my very high expectations.

Ms Robert's voice is expressive, with lovely range which she commands with great skill. Even better is that her interpretation of the music and lyrics is spot on. Listening to her is remarkably easy and yet she grabs you heartstrings. The choice of music on both CDs is well selected but personally, I think Ms Roberts really hits her stride in the second album. The second is a little more confidant and polished but the first is almost as good.

I would recommend this album to anyone who enjoys artists like Kate Rusby and Karan Casey. I really hope this artist makes more albums in the future.
