Customer Reviews:
An Up & Coming Artist who has arrived!.......2001-03-08
This is the one. Of all the previous df/SONiA stuff, this is the best! It has a from-the-gut confidence to it that I think finally puts her up there with the big boys where she belongs. I saw her at a gig in a bookstore where she absolutely rocked the quiet little house. She is truly an amazing performer. Just her guitar, harmonica and voice sound like an entire band - nothing is missing from the sound. Still folky, but more full and cohesive. The title track brings me to tears every time with its honest strength. Buy this CD purely for the sound or for the meaning in the lyrics, you won't be sorry either way - the two meld like PB & J. And try & catch her live sometime!
You want variety?.......2000-04-16
With her throaty sounds in "opinion #33", make-you-get-up-and-dance rhythm in "My Baby" and the wonderful proclamation borrowed from Harvey Fierstein in "grass for the lambs", you cannot miss with this latest contribution to the earth from SONiA. Oh, and if you're having a bad day, crank up "turtle flowers" complete with the opening and closing conversations between SONiA and Dylan V. It heals my soul with each listen.
Only SONiA.......1999-12-20
Without a doubt there is no singer/songwriter in the country and perhaps the world with the depth of SONiA. She continues to write about the world in ways which touch your soul. You will smile at "Bumblebee", dance to "Lovesick" and "My Baby", and cry with "Me,Too" and love everything before and after. I love It!
Sonia's best effort in years.......1999-11-19
I've been a fan since the early days of disappear fear, and have missed Cindy on the last couple of CDs and tours as well. But "Me, too" showcases Sonia in what may be her best work yet. Good music, good lyrics, and fine production by Sonia and John Grant.
And this is an independent release -- support indie music!
True Delight.......1999-11-05
On 'Me Too' SONiA truly shines musically and lyrically. My lasting first impression was 'this is a happy album,' one that can be listened to over and over. Highly recommended
