Rich Dworsky interprets the 70's.......2005-09-29

This CD is a great piano rendering of some of the more popular songs of the 70's. I never liked Donovan much, but Rich's interpretation of Lalena is great. The best pieces on the CD, however, are both Beatles tunes: Julia and Blackbird. None of the songs have the feel of the 70's, but that is a good thing.

This is a wonderful CD. Dworsky's renditions are so lovely and so evocative that I have never gotten tired of any one of the songs, & out of the 100 or so CDs I own, I listen to this CD and Dworsky's "The Path to You" most often.
If you want truly beautiful, soothing piano music, try this luscious CD.
My only wish: that Mr. Dworsky would publish the sheet music.

Wonderful songs beautifully performed and interpreted.......2001-02-25

This is a beautifully performed recording. The selections are tasteful and the interpretations masterful. The songs are the ones us baby-boomers grew up with and the way Mr. Dworsky evocatively creates them seems to reach far back into memory. I never seem to grow tired of listening to this recording. It has a timeless and melancholy quality to it. This is a wonderful CD to rock your children to sleep with.
