Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Excellent A Capella Vocals.......2006-08-01

For the most part, this album is a capella, and the a capella tracks are definitely the best of the bunch. All three women's singing is in top form and they really deliver with this release.

The standout track, "Stitch in Time", is a very traditional sounding song about a woman who, fed up with her abusive husband's alcoholism, ties him to the bed and beats him up with various kitchen implements. It's an excellent song!

5 out of 5 stars awesome music, unforgettable tunes.......2003-04-27

I was lucky to have seen Maddy Prior and "the girls" in Leuven, Belgium at a folk music festival, and I fell in love with their music. The vocal harmony is hauntingly beautiful! Their version of C. lauper's "True Colors" brings tears to my eyes. Their modern take on some traditional English folk songs (the latter half of the CD) is worth buying the CD for. Bottom line: worth every cent--love it, love it, love it!
