Daft Punk Rox my sox!.......2005-03-15
The song "One More Time" was introduced to me (strangely) when I was watching an MTV2 commercial for their upcoming videos. I saw this anime music video for about 5 seconds, and I instantly called up my local radio station to find out the name of the song and the band's name too. And three weeks later (after extensive research of where the Discovery album was being sold) I finally bought the CD. I now have all of the Daft Punk albums, including all of the imported singles and the newest album. THis band is one of the best Techno-pop bands EVER!

great CD.......2002-04-13
this is the first Daft Punk song I heard, and it became one of my favorite songs. Its allot ike eiffel 65 in some ways and I'm a big Eiffel 65 fan. my guess is that Vik got beat up by his girl friend and started to hate the world.

Campy!.......2001-11-06
Put your dancing shoes on for this Daft Punk single. You get three different mixes of the single, my personal favorite is the "Club Mix."
It's a catchy little number with a great video. I like the video a heck of a lot more than the GAP adds they did. But the single they used for that commercial is pretty cool as well. Its's a great single, if you know Daft Punk you will love it!
New Club Beat.......2001-07-31
Definetly a hoppin' club beat. You just speed it up a little and watch the crowd explode!! DJMinion
Better than the bad critics say it is.......2001-05-21
I have never been a big fan of pop music, or house, or dance, or techno, or anything like that. In fact, most of it I despise because it's repetitive and shows little more ingenuity than being able to push buttons and click a mouse. However, I've heard a few Daft Punk songs, both old and new, and I've liked them, and that says a lot. Sure, this is a catchy tune, and people like it, but it's unfair to dismiss a song as lacking in substance and musicianship merely based on that (although it's often very true). This may not be a shining example of fine composition (I am pursuing an MM in Music Composition, and I like to think I know what I'm talking about here) but it's a great dance song and it represents a thorough understanding of the times, and the value of retro music. (80s music is retro already?) This combines the musical idioms of the 70s and 80s with the dance beats of the 90s and the interstellar groove of the new millenium. Plus, vocoding (as it's called, I presume) is a great new concept that needs to be worked with a bit more, because it delves into the concepts of early electronic music and musique concrýte (like the virtually Cro-Magnon idea of tape track editing) which really need to be revived. And who can resist dancing to this upbeat number? All in all, to Daft Punk I say, bravo, and keep up the good work.
