Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Whatever you want... it's in here!.......2000-10-06

Where should I start? The first CD is called the "dance" CD, but it sounds like the typical songs you hear during the summer, not as annoying as Aqua, but similar. The best tracks in this CD are "Sing a Song Now Now". It's very happy and lively, with a little reggae, and Gigi D'Agostino's "Another Way" is also very good (Gigi D'Agostino is great. Period). The second CD is GREAT! If you like euro-progressive, you'll love this! The only song missing from this CD is Veracocha's "Carte Blanche", although it is an older song. All of the songs, with the exception of "Der Spiegel" (I must be honest) are very uplifting. It really makes you want dance and will remind of a million different things each time you listen to it... The third CD, the "house" CD is more funk than anything else, and frankly, I have very little tolerance for that kind of music. If it weren't for that, I'd give this compilation the 5 stars. And finally, the fourth CD, is the "techno" CD, which is right up there with the progressive music one. All of the songs are great, not too fast that you can't dance to them, and very well-organized. Very few have lyrics, but they are very uplifting, remixed with perfect timing. Another great thing about this compilation is that the first track of each CD is a session. Each session is a 17-25 minute mix of most of the songs in that particular CD. The sessions make it more convenient for anyone who wants to record the CD to another without having to record all the songs, thus saving time and space on your recordable discs. It's very easy to capture the essence of the CD just by listening to the sessions. But don't misunderstand... the sessions are not enough. They're just preludes to what follows. Buy this compilation... your ears will thank you.
