Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Bizarre San Francisco Electro-Pop.......2005-06-08

Voice Farm started out as one seriously weird electronic performance collective in the early 80s San Francisco. This, their third release (and only major-label release), was their stab at mainstream success. One single, "Free Love" was a moderate club hit in 1991, but, sadly, they couldn't win over radio.

Though the production sounds a bit dated, it's hard to not love this album. Smart, witty, experimental yet insanely catchy, Bigger Cooler Weirder remains a techno-pop classic years after it's release.

Standout tracks: "Thank You", "Free Love", "Ode to Buffy", & their truest "pop" song, "Don't Know Why", a genuinely sweet & sad track with a beautiful falsetto.

5 out of 5 stars This cd always makes me feel happy..........1999-04-25

When I am in a good mood this colection of energetic songs makes me feel even better. When I am feeling less than fabulous, it cheers me. It's not for the serious music lover, but I loved it. Anybody who is a fan of the early eightys will enjoy this.

4 out of 5 stars Lives up to its name, bigger, cooler, and definitely weirder.......1998-06-13

How can you not like a CD with lyrics like, "I'm little boy blue sporting dippity-doo?" This CD is packed with music that makes you want to dance, lyrics that make you laugh and sing along. Somewhat similar to They Might Be Giants in style. Highly recommended to anyone looking for something different.
