Customer Reviews:
Old Skool Classics.......2007-02-10
A few good classics on here. These were some of the last few tracks that Justin Time produced before he started the "Triple J" name, then completely leaving Hardcore. The speed range is between 158-165 bpm, (which was normal at this time period), and all the tracks are vinyl style, which means you get the full length of the track unlike mixed cds. If you love the old break beat style, you will like this cd, not a lot of tracks have the continous 4/4 beat.
Smoking.......2004-05-16
This release and the one before it (Volume 7 Ride the ultrabeat)
we're a serious return to the mania that was one of the finest CD's compiling the sound of early UK undergound hardcore in North America, the original 140 BPM+ CD. The ones in the middle were mostly jungle in style, but Numbers 1, 7, 8 are must have if you love GOOD happy hardcore with old school muscle!! great listening. This one is my most played of the series & I have em all. Sure the Anabolic Frolic cd's that came after these are very good spins, but this series is the genesis :)
Speed Stick: Goes on Clear.......2002-10-20
When I first bought this cd I thought it was bad...but thats because I was being closed minded and only listened to the first 1 second of the first track....... BUT THEN MY GOOD FRIEND, Jesus smiled upon me and gave me the strength to listen to the rest of the cd, and I must say it is quite super fun. The tracks beet the pants out of the new happy hardcore stuff that is being released lately (ie: World of Vinylgroover vol. 2) this takes us back to the days of super quick piano grooves, with oldschool synthlines and bla bla. check it out if your looking for hard stuff rockin music.
Nice CD.......2001-05-05
This is my favorite out of the BPM series due to the fact it has happy hardcore, ambient, breakbeat and other styles mixed in. Though this CD is not a mix, it redeems itself by a great selection of tracks. Worth a try if you like any of the styles I or the other reviewers listed.
The Last and Best Speed Limit.......2000-05-26
After a few jungle heavy Speed Limits from 3-6, the finale returns brining back the ambient, uplifting beats that made Moonshine Records a favorite.
The Ride, Floor Friction, and Take Me to the Top are keepers!
