Nice blend of downtempo, dance and techno.......2002-05-29

This is a 2CD set. The first album, 'Soul', is made up of trancey, downtempo tracks, of which there isn't a dull moment. This isn't your average downtempo sort of stuff. It's all pounding 909's and squelchy acid sounds, but done in a tranced-out sort of way. Check out the tracks 'Everlasting (space hop mix)', 'Ciel' and 'Earthymn' just for starters. Neat programming.

The second album is 'Reactivate' which is more along the techno lines. Most of it is made up again of squelchy acid lines, but this time with a tuff 4/4 ryhthm. The opening track is pure class. My two favourites from this disc would have to be 'Macroscaleconvectivethumper' and 'Din' - two tracks which sit around the 200bpm mark. Something I've never heard from a christian electronic group. The lads pulls these tracks off nicely, and they sound very well produced.

All in all this double album is definately worth purchasing, even for the heathen. Very well executed material.
