5 out of 5 stars Solid pop.......2002-10-07

This is classic Jap pop that is definitely not your everyday j-pop.

Stylish!!

4 out of 5 stars japanese clubpop at its best.......2000-04-24

this compilation shows the shibuya-kei japanese clubpop scene in all its glory. the entire collection highlights the easy-listening, sample-heavy, fun dance beats that make this label one of the most important indie labels in japan. a great addition to your other readymade, trattoria, and bungalow productions.

4 out of 5 stars Quality Japanese Pop.......2000-04-22

The essence of the current Japanese scene is a recognition of the idiocy of pop music. Once that has been embraced and all the tiresome pretension that characterises too much pomp-pop stripped away, you are left with a paean to foot-stomping, mindlessly grinning fun - achieved here by Losfeld, Cubismo Grafico and Montparnasse to celebratory effect. Slightly less full-blooded stuff from Yukari Fresh and Neil & Iraiza dilute the mix but this is typically fine Bungalow kit.
