House at it's best!.......2002-01-30

What can I say? Roisin Murphy of Moloko has such a unique beautiful voice. When I first heard this song I was mesmorized on the lyrics and the meaning of the song.

All the remixes are great also. My favorite would have to be the Can7 Soulfood mix. It's a lush house mix that starts out with Roisin's smoothe voice over a keyboard and then builds up to house at it's best. There are other remixes but they are not on this single edition. They are:
DJ Plankton Mix-Great mix
Matt Darey Vocal-Haven't heard yet. But I will have to get back with you one this one. I heard it was trancey. For all you trance heads.
Bambino Casino Mix-found on ALL BACK TO THE MINE CD. It's a great mix with a slower background and the violins to the original really showing their stuff.
Francois K Dub-Also on the ALL BACK TO THE MINE, Great introduction, with a smoothe lounge/house vibe. And really cool echoes of Roisin's vocal, "Tempted by fate, And I wont hesitate." Excellent.

The lyrics are great also,
"Give up yourself into the moment....The Time is Now.
Let's make this moment last."

A very meaningful song w/ pretty lyrics. I do recommend that you buy this CD single. It blew up in 2000 and still blowing up in my CD player and everywhere I go.

Well...I completely feel in love with the song as soon as I saw the video on MTV Europe while I was studying in Paris, this year.

I thought the music was just refreshing, feel-free, honest, hot, sexy, all at the same time. To me, it was a sort of impiphany. It took the concept of funk, and soul and brought to a whole new level; it engraved itself onto my heart. I expect to receive my copy in a few days. However, I just really want to say is that I still sing the song without the music. IT's that good.

IT'S JUST AN INCREDIBLE WORK OF ART, STRAIGHT FROM EUROPE THAT SUMMONS MY BODY AND SOUL TO MOVE TO A SEXY, DARK BASS.

mmm... well, i acquired the single in less-than-kosher circumstances but in full quality. i am unaware of whether a remix of any kind is also available on the cd for sale - probably. as far as the music goes, it's quite original - there is quite a bit of use of acoustic guitar, but the continuous kick loop puts it on the dance chart. also in the background is piano, violin, and what sounds like an expensive drum machine. vocals are quite memorable and well recorded not to mention performed. without a heavier remix however, it's not a dance song. yeah. put this single from moloko on your next week/monthly cd ring press to spin. quite worth it.
