Groundbreaking, stylish album from the Queen still fresh.......2007-01-03

This was Donna Summer's fourth international album release and fifth in Europe. Here Donna and producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte are experimenting in a variety of styles all of which are designed to showcase Ms Summer's stunning range and vocals.Of course the groundbreaking single was the futuristic (for the time) I Feel Love; but other standout tracks include Loves Unkind and Back in Love Again. It's incredible to think that this album is almost 30 years old, it still sounds fresh and exciting today.

In May of 1977, Donna Summer released her fifth album entitled, I REMEMBER YESTERDAY. This is, yet, another smashing album from our Queen of Disco, featuring three major hits. This is an album that every Donna Summer fan will enjoy.

I REMEMBER YESTERDAY
The first single from the album. This track is, obviously, the album's title track, and it is an awesome track that will have up and dancing like there's no tomorrow. Great song.

The second single from the album. Here's another awesome song to get up and dance to.

I FEEL LOVE
Third and final single from the album. Out of all three singles released from this album, "I Feel Love" is the best out of them all. This is a track with a lot of Disco-enthused energy to dance to. If you have seen Madonna on her Confessions Tour, you've seen her open the tour with "Future Lovers", a song that samples a bit of "I Feel Love", whereas, in the opening number, Madonna even broke into a few lines of "I Feel Love". This is an awesome tune.

I REMEMBER YESTERDAY is another album to add to your Donna Summer collection. I'm not kidding, this is a great album.

One of Donna's most consistent albums.......2006-07-16

This is a classic album, and one of Donna's most consistent recordings. After she rose to fame with "Love To Love You Baby," Donna released several moderately successful albums. She rose to super-stardom with the 2-LP set "Live and More," which included "MacArthur Park" and "Heaven Knows." This album came out before this renewed surge and is sometimes overlooked, but it is great. It contains the hit "I Feel Love," and the title track is a staple of Donna's greatest hits compilations. But there are some terrific album tracks that get lost in the shuffle: "Love's Unkind," "Back In Love Again," "Black Lady," "Take Me," and "Can't We Just Sit Down." While some of Donna's "filler" tracks are often forgettable, these songs stand out. They're distinctive, fun, and full of energy (even the ballad).

" I FEEL LOVE" GAVE BIRTH TO TECHNO MUSIC.......2006-05-19

I was eight years old when the song "I Feel Love" came out, back in the summer of 1977. At first I thought (there were a lot at the time) it was a theme song to a Sci-Fi movie like Logan's Run, Closen Counter, Star Wars or something, because this one local radio station always played the long instrumental version of these type of theme song, and particular the long version of "I Feel Love," not so much with Donna's vocals.

All I have to say is that, the single "I Feel Love" was before its time. Who would have ever thought (years later), that the base of this song alone, would be the foundation (and sample to DEATH!!!) for techno/dance music artist of the early/mid 90s.

So ahead of its time.......2006-02-12

Hard to imagine that the futuristic song "I feel Love" was penned and produced in 1978. It gave listeners a taste of what was in future decades. Buy this album for this song alone, it is a masterpiece song .... and fantastic to dance to. Oh, the rest of the album is great too, although hard to find these days.
