Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Real House Music.......2000-12-17

I bought this cd almost 3 years ago now ,I own other compilations of deep dishs',such as the junk science album and yoshiesque, but this one made me want to buy them.It is simply one of the best deep house cd's I have heard. It starts with a real dark, deep builder tune (never tell you)which then glides along beautifully into track after track of pure house bliss, hard but subtle, with a slick pulse pounding base line irrestable to the ears of a true house music lover.

The compilation actually divides into two paragraphs, the first paragraph (dubfire) being more deep house orientated including superb tracks by "kings of Tomorrow" and "Mysterious People" is sheer qaulity. The second is a bit different,it starts with more of a 'jazzy' dance track (summer madness) which sounds and feels slightly like it's a bit misplaced in the set due to it's violin overture but will non the less have you tapping your foot along to it's beat. What builds from then on are a series of dark basey tunes that blend wickedly (Tick Tock,Don't Ever Stop, and the awesome Theme from the Blue Cucaracha)like they were made to do so.The last couple of tracks on the cd "Samba Magic" and "In Your Soul"end it superbly although you feel it could still carry on / continue to another level.

It's not easy to decide what type of house genre DEEP DISH are dedicated to as they seem to cover all aspects of it,but it is deep, and that is their trademark.

Personally I love the the first half of the cd,but in all it's one I could listen to all the way through over and over again for years to come. For true house fans it's the dog's........
