Foremost, it takes forever to get a hold of this CD Single, and when you finally receive it -- if ever, it contains the short AM radio versions of both songs, instead of the extended versions that were popularly played in the 70's. The original extended versions are indeed defintive. For "Last Dance" the EP can be found in "The Dance Collection" and the soundtrack of "TGIF." "The Dance Collection" contains the 12" version of "With Your Love." although it's a little bit shorter than the original 12" version on vinyl. A good disco/dcance track should last forever, and not for the trickle over three minute versions contained herein. What a pity it is, really.

"Last Dance" is arguably the best, or the second best hit of her performing and recording career during disco's hayday in the late '70s ("MacArthur Park Suite" competes).

"With Your Love" here is the single version - an extremely precious commodity, considering it appears only on this CD and this disc can hardly be found worldwide. The edited version is certainly well edited, sounding appealing,- yet the single version brings out the whole "thing" (That is, the song's message, spirit, etc.).

Anyone who owns a reel-tape, cassette or LP containing the single version of "Last Dance" - hurry up and purchase this disc. It'll be money well spent - you won't grasp how you could have managed without it!

Donna Summer shows in this cd, probably more than in ANY other, the amazing power of her voice. "Lady of the night" has to be one of her best perfomances ever!!!!! I urge all fans that do not have it already to get it NOW before it is out of stock again! Since 1974....the BEST voice on earth, no doubt about it!!!!!
