Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Few thrillers, many fillers.......2001-06-15

I brought this CD about 2 years ago. I don't know what possessed me. I think it was the inane catchiness of Doodah. I hoped the rest of the album would be as fun and stupid as this. What I got was a few basic doof doof tracks and lots of fillers, including track 10, which was a tragic attempt at a ballad. The idea of the album (which is done by real musicians- how could they??!!) is a 60's style "techno-billy" sound. Standout tracks include Aisy Waisy and Witch Doctor and a cover of the Police hit Doo-do-do-de-da-da-da (because they pinched it from the Police). The rest is pretty mediocre

5 out of 5 stars Groovy, kid friendly techno!.......1999-12-08

I first heard witch doctor on the radio in Calgary, Canada and instantly went out and bought the album. I teach dance and find it difficult to find age appropriate music that has a danceable beat. Toonage by the Cartoons has fit the bill perfectly. It takes kid oriented songs and adds an adult groove that the kids find very cool. I have bought this album for every little person I know and it becomes an instant favorite. My six year old nephew is particularily fond of witch doctor and has made up what he calls the crazy dance. This is a terrific buy!

1 out of 5 stars totally rubbish.......1999-12-03

Rubbish and more. If you have this you are mad, beyond insane. This album has about just as much talent as a broken piano and to think that the music industry is being wasted on such idiots! I can think of hundred people that are better than those fools e.g. Destiny's child, tracie spencer etc. The only exception is that they are talented and have good music rather than irritating society in general. Nuff said.

4 out of 5 stars It left a huge impression on me........1999-10-24

I heard this group while studying in France during the spring and was amazed that no one here in America had ever heard of them. They turn classic songs into a pumping beat that make you want to dance. That takes real talent.
