This is a great album, an instant favorite. If you like Stephane Grappelli, Martin Taylor, or indeed Django Reinhart, then here you have an accordion enhanced Hot Club of France quintet in Hi Fi with some more modern tunes, beautifully recorded. Martin Taylor is on his very top form throughout.

Grappelli appears posthumously on three overdubbed tracks and on three more duets with Taylor from an earlier album. In spite of the title this album is really under the leadership of Martin Taylor, and though I have the Best of Martin Taylor double CD, I reckon this one is better.

It swings, heck, it almost rocks. I really recommend this album, because I don't know how any jazz fan could not fall in love with it.

I had a lot of pleasure in hearing Grappelli again, he was the largest violinist of the Jazz, he played with Baden Powell, that is Brazilian, like me (sorry my english) .
