Deleted in the U.S., this is the Danish metal quintet's 1987album for CBS. Nine tracks, including 'Future World', 'We Came To Rock' & 'Love Games'.

Pretty Maids under-rated.......2004-07-01

This has to be one of the most under-rated bands ever. I know there are others, but where not talking about those bands now are we? Future World is an amazing rock CD. Up there with Back for the Attack from Dokken, Whitesnake's self titled 87' release and GNR's "Welcome to the Jungle". I'm speaking musically and song writing here. The vocals, two different deliveries, melodic and a great record. Kudos to the group, and it is sad you never got the success in the U.S. like you deserved. I don't think Sony did a very good job working you guys here, but theri loss as well as every head-banger across this land. First time I heard Future World was on Z-Rock in 87', and have litterally gone through a dozen cassettess and several cd's. I know Dee Snider thinks highly of your work and so do I.

Great disc. When cd's were first starting to come out this one was in the top 5 of must have's. To me there are no bad songs on this disc. Title track is one of favorite all-time songs. In fact Red,Hot and Heavy i would also recommend. Pretty Maids is still putting out discs today and i have everyone. Another underrated band that never made it in the states. How bands like Poison made and not these guys in a big mystery.

Everyone so far is giving this album 5 stars. "Future world" is a good record but it's not worth top rating. Pretty Maids best album is without doubt "Red, hot and heavy" - get that one first. "Future world" is a weaker follow up but of course it has its moments...

They came to rock.......2002-11-18

This album holds classic heavy metal, and is today also a classic album in danish HM. Outstanding rifs high-speed rock 'n' Roll.

LOUD AND PROUD.......2002-02-01

These guys from Denmark definitely came to rock! Although not Pretty Maids' first release, it is their first major label U.S. release, or at least it was when I bought it. This was the type of exciting release that had me waiting for the bands next disc. The best song here is the title track, which even had a great video of a car, the band, and the outback. The guitar work of Ken Hammer has me green with envy. Like many European bands, Pretty Maids has that classical sound to it with astounding keyboards and scorching vocals. There are so many great tracks here I will list only my favorites; "Future World", "Needles in the Dark", "Love Games", "Loud & Proud", and "We Came to Rock". They most certainly came to rock! This disc is one of my TOP 100 of all time and it resides inside my jukebox, honest! If you like to rock try FUTURE WORLD or their greatest hits. You can't go wrong!
