ROBERTO PERERA IS THE PARAGUAYAN HARPIST WHO REACHED HIS HIGHEST POINT IN THIS RECORDING, HE MIXES NEW AGE, JAZZ AND OTHER COMPONENTS MAKIN A UNIQUE LATIN JAZZ EXPERIECE. GOOD.

Good old Perera with O que será...........2001-08-24

Roberto Perera, one of the most important uruguayan musicians explores new combinations of the folk harp with contemporary sounds. He makes an inusual effort to conquer tropical sounds of the caribean withg his paraguayan harp and he makes it so good that rocks our perception of our great latin thing. In this production he plays Passions, Illusions & Fantasies, O Qué Sera, Chico Buarque's classic, Caricias, The Love We Share, Caribbean Sunset, and other likely melodies. It is not one ofe his greates, but it worth a look and a listen to know much more of Perera's work.

Great Latin Jazz.......2001-07-31

This is my first Dave Valentin cd and the first time I heard him was on Tito Puente's Live At Birdland which is also a great cd. Anyway I said to myself boy is this guy talented so I've been looking for his cds for a while now and last week I stumped on this cd it is great. Lots of great songs I personal favorite is San Juan. I'm tring to find more of his cds I guess they are hard to find. Lots of great guest artists on here including Hilton Ruiz, Milton Cardona, Bill O'connell and many others. So if you want great jazz then this is for you.

Great CD.......2000-02-29

I am a Valentin fan, but I think this CD gives a good idea of what Dave can do on the alto and bass flute as well as on the C flute. The pieces "Morning Light" on the alto and the Coltrane tune "Equinox" on the bass are both really worth the price of the CD alone. The rest of the CD will not disappoint you either.
