Love these divas, but...........2003-05-09

I didn't go for this cd nearly as much as Sing! Sing! Sing!, which is close to perfect. This recording has too many strings for my taste. Still, this is a group whose output I'll always look forward to.

Breathtaking harmonies really hit the spot.......2001-05-29

I listen to a LOT of music to find good stuff for my students to enjoy and dance to. I have become very selective in what I choose, but this album really blew me away. Every song is sung so perfectly by this trio, that I have just spent the last five hours playing this wonderful music over and over and after I've had a few hours sleep, I'm going to play it all over again and again. What beautiful harmonies! What great presentation of standards of such diverse styles as Bi Mir Bist Du Schoen and Cross Over The Bridge. Then what great music they have written in Cool Cats and King of Swing. I love it, I love it, I love it. Can't wait to get my hands on more from this heavenly duo. If I could, I'd rate this album about eleven out of five!!!

Fabulous sound.......2001-02-19

I love their renditions of old standards like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and On the Sunny Side of the Street, but it's their original songs that really wow me. I love Crush - a story of meeting a guy and falling for him big time. And American Girl is great also. I love their harmony and the arrangements. I've just discovered The D's 3 and feel like I've stumbled upon a precious gem!!!

Their versions of old standards like "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "On the Sunny Side of the Street" are very well done, but it's their orignal songs that really wow. I love Crush - a story of falling in love and staying in love - and American Girl. Their harmony is fabulous and the arrangements are very fresh. I've just discovered The D's 3 and feel like I've just stumbled on a precious gem!
