This outstanding release features two of Chico O'Farrill's most rewarding dates, a 1953 session recorded in Havana, Cuba, Chico's Cha Cha Cha from the label ‘Panart' that includes such phenomenal musicians as Alfredo Chocolate Armenteros, Generoso Tojo Jiménez, Guillermo Barreto and Pedro Peruchín Justiz and a 1954 date recorded in Mexico City during O'Farrill's time in the country Fiebre Tropical from the label ‘Orfeon'.

I'd never heard of them, but they are kicking! Hazme Sentir was apparently a significant hit in Cuba in 1997. The sound is the modern timba sound in Cuba today typified by Manolito, Klimax, El Medico etc. It's on the commercial end of the spectrum but that's OK. Check out Tallador and Documento as well as the above track.

              Fiebre Amarilla de El Salvador,fue uno de los grupos de rock,que mas prospero en ese genero,considero que bajo la batuta de *German Mangandi*dio mucho que hablar,ya que interpretaban las canciones de una manera muy diferente a otros grupos de esa epoca...aunque a decir verdad,esa epoca,si hubieron grupos muy buenos,como Los Vikings,Grupo San Miguel,Intocables,Los Mustangs,Los Lovers,Los Apaches,Los Supersonicos,Los Beats,Los Thunders,Garrobo,Hielo Ardiente,
              Grupo Hierro,Los Kiriats,Bajo de Agua,La Comapania 10..y otros que de alguna manera,colaboraron a que esa Epoca de los Anos 65
              alos 70,fuera una epoca unica...!!!

                Shortly after this was released, the group made another CD, Hey You Loca, which has more songs and better recording quality. Two of the best songs from this CD are re-recorded on Hey You Loca, one of the greatest Latin albums of all time, in my opinion.

                Among the 6 songs that aren't redone on Hey You Loca, there are two excellent ones, Te voy a liquidar and Pregón de chocolate, and one timeless classic, Extraños ateos. This last track, in my opinion, makes it well worth buying the CD.
