Gilmore Girls Soundtrack.......2007-01-18
The cd is OK.......not great, but then I didn't seem to remember such loud music in the series.....I think I expected more of the troubadour and Carol King.
Great music.......2007-01-10
If you like the Gilmore Girls shows, then this cd is a must. I bought it for my 14 year old daughter. She was thrilled when she opened the cd on Christmas.
Music Quirky As Expected.......2007-01-10
My daughter and I love The Gilmore Girls and the quirky music that is played. The CD was exactly as we expected. We would buy it again.

Customer Reviews:
good memories for me and fun "new" songs for my children.......2007-06-27
We had ordered this for "The Dukes of Hazzard" theme song for our 4yr old and our whole family has fallen in love with the cd. It makes me want to share some of the old fun and simple shows with my children. I forgot about some of those shows. It brings back good memories for my husband and me and the songs are new and exciting for our children. It's a nice change from children's cd's, but our children still think it's fun. The sound quality is good and the songs included on the cd are a great mix. I would definately recommend this one.
memories.......2007-02-22
This cd is excellent it has a lot of very good music and true to the original sound, Am getting a lot of enjoyment, highly recomended
TV Theme Songs.......2007-01-13
This is a great CD for people who watch a lot of TV -especially TV LAND and reruns of old shows when shows had actual theme songs. I took the CD to work and everyone loved trying to figure out what show the songs were from.
TV themes.......2006-07-05
Not all what I expected, not all of the tunes are the original recordings you remember as the TV themes.
Deja Vu.......2006-02-17
Listening to these familiar themes as performed by the original artists certainly brings back wonderful memories! I was particularly pleased, not only with the quality of the pieces, but with the actual performances themselves, just as we remembered them!

The screenwriting/directing debut of veteran British stage and screen actor Charles Dance tells of a pair of Cornish spinsters (Judi Dench and Maggie Smith) who discover a charismatic young Polish violin virtuoso castaway (Daniel Bruhl) on the beach below their home. The tale leads inexorably to tender romantic conflicts and a warm concert house finale. Composer Nigel Hess masterfully utilizes his background as Music Director and House Composer for the Royal Shakespeare Company to conjure a score that evokes its quiet, emotional dignity via neo-classical orchestral arrangements that feature real life young virtuoso Joshua Bell on solo violin. Hess' intimate original compositions form a virtually seamless tapestry with the story's requisite classical repertory choices, which range from Massenet and Debussy to Bell's delightful variations on Paganini's "The Carnival of Venice." --Jerry McCulley

Ladies in Lavender Soundtrack.......2007-05-13
I love this CD. The music carries you away and it is wonderful to go to sleep by. It was such a great movie and the music is delicious.
Ladies in Lavendar - Movie Soundtrack.......2007-03-29
The violin music is wonderful! I knew I wanted a copy of this soundrack when I saw the movie on DVD. Joshua Bell in a wonderful artist.
Ladies In Lavender CD.......2007-03-19
The film "Ladies In Lavender" is touching and a tear jerker, but, so well done. Having the film on DVD was not enough, I needed to have the CD to play when I am driving. The violin virtuosity of Joshua Bell is magnificient and so pleasing to hear when relaxation is desired.
LADIES in LAVENDER.......2007-02-19
This is the most amazing and beautiful CD I've heard in a long time. Joshua Bell excells on his violin with this touching and haunting music. I listen to it often.

Based on Nicholas Sparks' novel, director Nick Cassavetes film spins the bittersweet tale of a 60-year romance, as seen from the polar perspectives of its promising youth and the travails of an old age cursed by Alzheimer's. Its soundtrack effectively echoes those polar dramatic concerns, with composer Aaron Zigler's gentle orchestral score largely giving voice to the character's melancholy present, while a rich, well-chosen slate of vintage material by Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller imparts a restless energy to their youth. There's a certain schmaltz to much of Zigman's work here, yet cues like "House Blues/The Porch Dance.." and "Noah's Journey" argue he's achieved something more elusive than mere melodramatic wallpaper with the deceivingly difficult task at hand; it can't be easy to have your work seasoned with the likes of Ellington's sassy "Alabamy Home" and Goodman's still-vibrant "One O'Clock Jump." Sharply contrasting versions of "I'll Be Seeing You" by Holiday and Jimmy Durante bookend the soundtrack, perfectly evoking the story's alternating shades of hope and fading nostalgia and framing Zigman's understated work in the bargain. --Jerry McCulley
Album Description
Based on the best selling novel by Nicholas Sparks ("A Walk To Remember", "Message In A Bottle"), "The Notebook" is the story of Noah and Allie, teenage lovers torn apart by WWII and Allie's parents' demands to marry a respectable lawyer. After 14 years apart, they meet again and rekindle their true love. Starring Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, James Garner, and Gena Rowlands. The soundtrack is a propelling force. In addition to classic WWII era pieces, Aaron Zigman's score suites enhance the record with beautifully dramatic themes. Score performed by the Hollywood Studio Symphony.
Customer Reviews:
Touching.......2007-07-04
There isn't much I can say about this beautiful movie, except that it was so touching!
It say's go for the "true love", settle for nothing else no matter what may be in store, because love that is "true" and as beautiful as their's was, is a rare thing!
I absolutely loved the ending.
I also loved that a movie CAN be truly wonderful, beautiful and touching WITHOUT grafic "sex scenes!" Also sadly a rare thing in movies today.
Ever seen "Hanover Street?" Equally beautiful. No SEX scenes either!

Pays music a complement. I love the classical pieces!.......2007-05-27
I do not have the soundtrack to The Notebook, but I do have the movie itself. Having said that, every song is wonderful. Some music carries with it, a wealth of emotion and a sense of timelessness. I love all of the classical pieces , perhaps the best, in this particular movie. Classical has never been my speed when it comes down to music, but something about this movie's classical masterpieces struck a chord in me...made me smile and maybe even sniffle a bit. If you are a fan of the movie, I'm sure you would love its soundtrack too. Music like this is ideal for a romantic evening or just for pleasure listening. You don't know if you'll like something until you give it a chance! So give this a chance!!
the Notebook soundtrack (Audio CD).......2007-05-13
This is a beautiful collection of music from the movie, The Notebook. Most is instrumental, very relaxing, as well as lively at times. Two renditions of "I'll Be Seeing You" are included.
Very Nice.......2007-03-30
I really enjoyed listening to the soundtrack, but I'm also a big fan of background music and this cd was great for both. Listening to the cd took me back to the movie and reminded me how much I enjoyed it, but I also put the cd on during a nice meal with friends and it worked out very well, they all enjoyed the music.
A sweeping, emotional standout!.......2007-01-11
The music from The Notebook brings you right back to the film, capturing your heart and soul. It's music will roll live waves through your soul and bring you from nostalgia to your own feelings of love and desire. The selections, arrangements and orchestrations are to be admired, and Mr. Zigman is to be praised. This soundtrack truly completes the legacy of "The Notebook".

Customer Reviews:
great show and great songs.......2007-06-14
love every song on here and when im going through my oc withdrawal i pop this cd in and i still make believe the show is on the air.
O.C soundtracks,please don't leave us this way........2007-04-17
As the 1,2 and 4 mixes were pure perfection (even the not so favorite ones were end up loved) the 3,5 and now 6 are just, what the hell is going on here?! mixes.I mean, the Christmukkah mix was nice but the should have put more songs! (9,are you kidding me?!)and the most annoying thing of all things is that only 3 or 4 were actually heard on the show (it's an O.C mix not some inspired by crap!).Then we have the mix 5,with songs all taken from the show but again, too much songs from season 2 which already had an entire CD and only some notable songs from season 3.The most crappy thing of all the crappiest thing in the O.C story is that they didn't made a damn season 3 soundtrack as the show was at his best with it music (SUFJAN STEVENS,CALLA,RADIOHEAD,JOSE GONZALEZ,MAGNET,ORENDA FINK,BETTIE SERVEERT,IMOGEN HEAP,do I need to continue?!).And now we have a season 4 soundtrack which is the last one with some songs that weren't even heard on the show!.The tried to do it original by making a cover CD but they did wrong cause before that the O.C soundtrack continuity was broke because of the missing of a season 3 soundtrack.I mean it was logical that we had a season 3 mix then a season 3+4 mix and at the end a season 4 mix to say goodbye in a proper way due to the high quality of the show. But no they didn't even respected that and screwed everything up.Anyway, there are some good and bad tracks so buy it if you want and don't if you're not sure.
Really pretty good.......2007-03-11
This actually my second favorite O.C. mix after 1. I ended up liking some of these covers more than the originals. My favorite is Can't Get It Out Of My Head, other goods ones are I Turn My CAmera On, Into Dust and Float On.
As I watch it go down in flames.......2007-02-17
This cd is nothing more than the same songs that drew me to the O.C. mixes back in season 1 and 2, just redone not as well by less than talented artists. Which ironically strongly resembles the shows plot line these days.
The best of the series!.......2007-02-11
I just bought this CD to complete my collection, and this mix is, by far, the best of the entire series. It has great songs from not-so-well-known artists. The only let down is that I was expecting other great songs that appeared on the show and still haven't seen them on the mix cd's.

When one thinks of musicals from Hollywood's golden age, the initials MGM come almost instantly to mind. Indeed when veteran song-and-dance man George M. Cohan was negotiating a film based on his colorful life story, his first choice was Metro--until a falling out with studio chief Louis B. Mayer. But L.B.'s loss eventually became Warner Brothers'--and film history's--gain when the Burbank studio's Cohan musical became a massive, patriotic hit in the opening months of World War II. As chronicled in this vibrantly restored, first-ever complete soundtrack for the film, it was a compelling twist of fate. James Cagney turns in one of the screen's most ostensibly unlikely--and ultimately indelible--musical performances (netting him his only Best Actor Oscar
®), teaming with studio music director Roy Heindorf to update Cohan's once-quaint turn-of the-century patriotic ditties ("You're a Grand Old Flag," "Over There," "Yankee Doodle Boy") and infectious vaudevillian chestnuts ("Give My Regards to Broadway," "Harrigan") with bracing dollops of the studio's '40s orchestral sass--and, just months after Pearl Harbor, some crucial historical parallels. Also included are four bonus tracks that remarkably survived the film's preproduction, including an outtake of "You Remind Me of My Mother" and voice-and-piano-only rehearsal versions of "Give My Regards to Broadway" and "You're a Grand Old Flag" that further underscore Cagney's deceptively effortless ability to sell a song despite his limited musical gifts. It's a long overdue showcase for a true American film musical gem. --Jerry McCulley

Yankee Doodle Dandy Review.......2006-11-03
It's an old movie with an old soundtrack, but I loved the movie, I love the music, and I'm very happy with my purchase.
Yankee Doodle Dandy.......2006-06-30
Excellent in black and white and color. James Cagney also got a medal from a President. (President Reagan!} If you like entertainment...this is it!
Amazing! Wonderful! Just buy it - you won't be sorry!.......2005-03-05
I am so very glad I bought this CD. I own the DVD of "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and watch it all the time, so I almost didn't buy this, wondering if I really needed yet another CD.
Well, thank God I didn't pay any attention to that dumb idea!
If you love "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and Cagney, you just have to buy this soundtrack. It's like being able to take the movie with you anywhere ... it's not just the songs - as others have said - but also includes bits of Cagney's voice-overs, even the tap-dancing from the end of "Little Johnny Jones." And since the audio system in my car is better than my TV's, it all seemed even bigger, richer and better. (George M. would love that!)
Wonderful, wonderful stuff!
What a find!!.......2003-06-15
I haven't been able to see this movie on TV since Turner bought it (don't get TCM), but if you've seen the movie several tims, as I have, listening to this CD is very nearly as good as watching it all the way through. (I'm so delighted with it that I'm even willing to forgive TCM for putting a paper ad inside with the disc.)
Monumental effort must have gone into this soundtrack, given the age of the original recordings. The tracks here are crisp, clear, and bright, with no evidence of how long ago they were first put down. The editors were also generous in their inclusion of dialogue that ties some of the tracks together (for example, we hear the man tell Johny Jones to watch for the skyrocket, then we hear the skyrocket as it leads into "Give My Regards to Broadway"). There are a couple of places where the endings are slightly abrupt but this is because, in the movie, the music fades into extended dialogue.
The only bit of dialogue I expected to hear in a song, but didn't, is in "Over There" near the very end of the film, when Cagney/Cohan has fallen in step with the soldiers going off to WWII, as they're singing "Over There", when the soldier nearest him says something like, "What's wrong, old timer, don't know the words?" and Cagney says, "Seems to me I do" and starts singing along. That's minor and pales next to how wonderful the rest of this soundtrack is.
One of the biggest treats on this CD is that we get to hear some of Cagney's tapping, notably in "Give My Regards to Broadway", "You're a Grand Old Flag", and - one of my favorite moments in movie history - when he dances down the White House stairs to "Yankee Doodle" near the end).
The outtake is not a humorous one, simply a track they decided not to use. It and the rehearsal tracks are all just the performers voices with piano accompaniment. I especially enjoyed hearing Cagney rehearsing "You're a Grand Old Flag".
If you like Cagney, if you like Cohan's music, if you like movies "the way they used to make them", or if you're not ashamed to get a little choked up with patriotism once in a while, you will not be disappointed in this CD!
A Soundtrack Every American Should Own.......2002-09-23
Finally! If you own that Hollywood Soundstage abomination of the "Yankee Doodle Dandy" soundtrack you can finally pitch it. Here is the real article. Rhino (Turner Classic Movies Music) lovingly restored the music from the beloved "Yankee Doodle Dandy" motion picture starring James Cagney. This soundtrack sounds astonishing considering it's 60 years old. It's very obvious some loving care was taken in it's production for which we all should be greatful. The liner notes also are great with informative text and wonderful photos from the movie. The marvelous George M. Cohan songs gives one goosebumps and bring tears to the eyes. We all need this type of patriotic pep rally, especially in these tough times. As I've said, this soundtrack belongs in every American's home just as much as that "Grand Old Flag"! I believe there are plans to release the movie on DVD, hopefully soon.

After the success of their score for The Little Mermaid, the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken returned to Disney for their second fairy-tale adaptation. Sadly, it was the duo's last completed score before Ashman's untimely death at age 41. This soundtrack contains more-conventional show music than The Little Mermaid, owing in large part to Broadway stalwart Angela Lansbury and to Jerry Orbach's Yves Montand impersonation. Most of the songs here were included in the subsequent Broadway adaptation and its cast album, but this disc is superior in its studio polish and cast, which is better suited to the score. --John Sanchez
Customer Reviews:
a true masterpiece in every sense of the word.......2007-05-10
when alan menken and howard ashman put together their second disney feature i dont think that anyone could have known what a masterpiece beauty and the beast would become. the film itself was praised for its maturity and remains the only animated film in history to every be nominated for a best motion picture academy award (it deserved it instead of silence of the lambs) musically the film was magnificient as well. it was adapted into a full length broadway musical three years later. but this original piece will forever remain the benchmark for all other animated works and their music.
alan menken's hauntingly beautiful score is a true masterpiece. the musical scores for the west wing and the beast lets belle go are moving and powerful. the emotional level that every piece reaches is amazing and menken absolutely deserved this oscar for best score. this is not only his best score, but quite possibly one of the greatest musical scores in history.
SCORE 5 out of 5
the songs are all quite powerfull and fun with a definate broadway, its no wonder that it was so seamlessly turned into a broadway musical.
BELLE - this is the strongest opening to ever appear in a disney film. the broadway feel makes it a great way to kick off the film it is both fun and quirky but definately contains a more serous undertone. this was originally suppossed to be shortened down, but luckilly it was left intact. paige o'hara as belle is nothing short of amazing.
5 out of 5
BELLE (REPRISE) - this is short but is very strong due again to o'hara's vocals. her vocals paired with ashman's stirring lyrics of longing make this short but definately a winner.
5 out of 5
GASTON - this is a fun song that is both witty and darkly clever. ashman's lyrics and richard white's performance as gaston carry this song. it may be the weakest of the piece, but it's still fun and catchy and shouldn't be missed
3 out of 5
GASTON (REPRISE) - this is really just an extention of the song listed above, but this one is much more twistidly clever and is actually stronger that the first song.
3 out of 5
BE OUR GUEST - this is one of the most famous songs from the soundtrack and its obveous why after just one listen. jerry orbach and angela landsburry both give great performances that along with menken's french-influenced score and ashman's fun clever lyrics make this song sound fun and fresh. its a great song that really does epitimize the fun of the piece and of ashman's lyrics.
5 out of 5
SOMETHING THERE - this is a short little song but it is the first hint at belle and the beast as lovers. o'hara and robby benson both give great but short performances. orbach, lansbury and david ogden stiers also give fun performances as the objects. this is beautiful and romanticly sweet little song.
5 out of 5
HUMAN AGAIN - this wasn't included in the original theatrical film (why i dont know) this is a great song that is fun and brilliant. ashman yet again outdoes himself with great lyrics and again the household objects give dynamic performances. im so glad that this is back for the special edition since its a real gem that shouldn't be missed.
5 out of 5
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - this is the most famous song from the movie and it won the oscar for best original song. just one listen shows why. lansbury gives a beautifully moving performance as mrs potts singing this. this is of course the song that shows the beast and belle as lovers and it does so perfectly. this song never dumbs things down it goes for the full romantic punch. well done
5 out of 5
THE MOB SONG - this is possibly the cleverest piece. the use of shakespearean lyrics make this a twisted and dark piece that effectively shows human nature that still rings true today. this is an overlooked but strong song that again is lifted by white's performance as the now sinister gaston.
5 out of 5
the best part of all these songs is how none of them dumb down the romance or more "adult" themes for the kiddies. this film allows itself to be fully romantic and that's why it has been so praised and lived on in such a flattering light. the near-perfect music not only aided this, but were a crucial part of this maturity.
SONGS OVERALL 5 out of 5
as i said earlier, this is one the greatest film scores of all times. it may not be as recognizable or memorable as say star wars or gone with the wind, but the emotional punch that it makes elevates it far past these other two scores. menken truly outdid himself and ashman's lyrics work perfectly. the performances from all the performers are dynamic, fun, powerful, and intense. everythign works perfectly here and truly makes for an experience that is truly magical.
Great Disney CD: For Children of all ages.......2007-02-19
I really enjoyed this CD. IT is the soundtrack for Beauty and the Beast.
I especially enjoyed " BE our Guest". This is an all around excellent Disney CD with lots of vocals, and intrigue. The singers are very talented, and well re-hearsed. I love this CD. It's worth the money. Go and buy it!!!
got this as a present for someone else.......2007-01-04
This was a present to a friend. She liked it. I love soundtracks and Disney music, so it's pretty good.
The Story Captured Through Song........2006-09-29
Disney's revival as a major animation studio began in 1989 with the release of THE LITTLE MERMAID and reached its pinnacle with BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (the only animated film ever nominated for a Best Picture Oscar). As much as the film is a visual delight, its also a musical feast for the ears. People had said for over a decade that the musical movie was dead, but BEAUTY AND THE BEAST proved otherwise and paved the way for later big-screen adaptations of famous stage musicals. Some of my favorite songs on the album include:
"Be Our Guest"--this song revived the huge dance numbers that were once commonplace in movie musicals.
"Something There"--BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is a love story and though that love is often brought to mind by the title song, it is this number that truly captures the essence of what happens between Belle and Beast.
"The Mob Song"--out of all the songs on the album, this is the one with the most masculine appeal. It's a song about burning down castles and killing an unfamiliar creature that poses no threat. There's nothing like a dash of good old violence to get the blood flowing.
This is a great soundtrack for any Disney fan, any patron of musicals, and people who love the film.
My children listen to this CD over and over.......2006-08-25
My kids (5 year old boy and 2 year old girl) LOVE this soundtrack. They make me play it repeatedly in the car, EVERYTIME we go anywhere. It is word-for-word an exact replication of the movie. I highly recommend it for any Beauty and the Beast fan.

The buzzing sitars and swirling guitars that herald Behind the Music's opening track, "Infra Riot," are enough to suggest that this is no ordinary Scandinavian band. The Soundtrack of Our Lives' music is miles removed from the Hives' primitive garage rock. They specialize instead in generously layered psychedelia with big nods to the Yardbirds and Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd. Behind the Music, the eccentric Swedish outfit's third release, is a propulsive, incense-scented pleasure. From the widescreen chorus of "Sister Surround" to the stomping Who tribute "21st Century Rip Off," they brazenly borrow from the past and manage to make it sound like an epiphany. Crestfallen Oasis fans should have particular reason to rejoice. --Aidin Vaziri
Customer Reviews:
TSOOL: Behind the Music.......2007-04-03
This is a great rock'n'roll album, and for once the official Amazon review is right on: the influence of psychedelic rock and The Who are obvious throughout. There's definitely no problem with the music--the only problem is with the lyrics. They are usually either weak and cheesy or flat-out nonsensical; it's evident that the singer learned English purely from rock'n'roll records, because his lyrics sound like a mash-up of classic rock lyrics. If their singer had worked as hard at mastering English as the other band members have obviously worked at mastering their instruments, TSOOL could be a truly great band (for American audiences). Meanwhile, this is a good disc that you should pick up if you just feel like having some new rock music to wake you up in the morning and don't care about being presented with any really deep thoughts.
A very fun Swedish garage rock album with a couple little problems - you'll still like it! - 4.5 stars.......2006-01-08
The Soundtrack Of Our Lives clearly have a lot of talent and a great ear for catchy hooks, but they aren't masters quite yet. They still have a slight cheesiness in their vocals and lyrics which stops them from being truly great. What they're great at doing is making epic garage rock sounds (which, admittedly, all tend to sound eerily similar). Every track here is good even if there's some notable standouts - "Sister Surround", "Infra Riot" and "Mind The Gap" being but a few. They're a good band, there's no question about that, but they certainly could be better. The lyrics are also not that interesting, but I think the intent of the album is to rock out - not to contemplate poetic lyrics. Ebbot Lundberg is a pretty decent garage rock singer, but he's definitely not great. If you like garage rock then chances are you'll like this as well as their follow-up "Origin Vol. 1" (which has the lesser hit "Bigtime" on it). Recommended!
Highlights include:
the entire album!
The soundtrack of my past month........2005-04-06
This is a disc I picked up by chance because it was in the bargain bin at the local store. Hey, one man's trash is another man's treasure. This album is great. Yes it has many musical links to past bands, but "Behind The Music" sounds very fresh and new also. Maybe a cross between certain 60's groups, and early 90's brit-pop bands. It's a good hour of music, and my current favorites are "Infra Riot", "Sister Surround", "Broken Imaginary Time", and the excellent "21st Century Rip Off". In short, much like the album cover, this is work of art.
One of my favorite CDs, one of my favorite bands.......2005-02-27
I see "psychedlic" used a lot to describe TSOOL's music, but to me it is straight-ahead pop rock. I saw them live in Denver a couple years ago and they played a full-out show for a small audience. "The Flood" performed live was outrageously powerful. Now that I've gotten all their releases, I really appreciate what a great group this is. This is the best CD, though. As great as their rock stuff is, the strong point are the ballads "Tonight" and "Nevermore."
Complexity, superbity, geniality.......2004-10-18
The most successful swedish bands, such as The Hives and The Cardigans (or, God forbid, the horrible Roxette), might have given people the idea that swedish music is basic, boring pop music. That is partly true. However, there is more to this rugged nordic country than what meets the eye.
One of the more complex bands from Sweden are undoubtly the Soundtrack of Lives, a brilliant band that doesn't bend to anyone. It's the only explanation I can see why they haven't become the next Oasis (I know, they still exists as a band, but who listens to them nowadays?).
This album is their most easy-listened so far, even is the new album, Origin 1, has promised to be more of a traditional rock album. However, TSOOL isn't a band that can be put into a certain category. They combine and divide the elements of rock, pop, hysteria and pure joy and create something unique.
Behind the music starts off with one of the best opening tracks ever made, Infra Riot. It is followed up by the more complex, but not less mind-blowing Sister Surround. One might have been given the idea that this is just a rock album at this point. These tracks are brilliant, straight-forward rock with a sound that takes the listener back to happier times in rock's history.
But we have begun trodding on a beautiful journey. The band takes us to places seldom explored. We get narcotic tracks filled with what seems to be jibberish, but might as well be philosophical epilogues. There are ballads so powerful even a bitter cynical as myself get tears in my eyes - the latter part of the album is even stronger than the first, if you ask me. And let us not forget that this band can really rock you off your shoes, if they feel like it.
Do I have any complaints? Well, the songs does not form a unity as in earlier works (Welcome to the Infant Freebase!) and some of the tracks might be banalities, if you see to lyrics or the chords. But music isn't a science. It's something you're supposed to feel in the stomach, to pour out while screaming and dancing and crying at the same time. Not many band can bring my heart with sadness and gladness at the same time as Soundtrack can. You can't be a cynic altogether, after all.

Customer Reviews:
Wonderful.......2007-07-02
My children LOVE this CD. It has helped them so much with their mulitplication tables. My 8 year old's teacher has asked where to get it as well. Everytime we go somewhere they ask to hear it. Wonderful product!
Kids love it!.......2007-05-25
The music is upbeat and tells a story. I think the kids enjoy this and the addition soundtrack more than any of the educational CD's they have. I wish more learning tapes were this creative!
OK.......2006-12-21
The songs are catchy my 8 and 9 year olds like the songs but the multiplication parts in the songs are sometimes spaced out with lots of words in between. Very hard to actually memorize times tables...
Googols of Fun.......2005-06-08
Bird-like creatures from space named googols (named after a very large number) take you on an exciting adventure through the universe in this award winning product, teaching facts about numbers and world geography at the same time.
The multiplication vacation "movie soundtrack" help make the learning of multiplication facts fun and exciting.
The CD begins with a "star wars" feel-"Long, long, long ago in a galaxy faraway..." -grabbing your kids attention from the get-go.
My kids enjoy listening to the songs, and once the CD turns off I can often hear them humming a few of the tunes and chanting the phrase "googol power." My 4 year old particularly enjoyed "two two two" and "penguin rap" was a big hit with everyone.
If you're looking for some catchy "educational" music to play at home or in the car, look no further..It's right here.
fun and educational for all ages.......2005-03-01
My kids, 2 and 4, love this CD. They sing along and ask questions about the songs, making a great opportunity to teach them about multiplication. The songs are grown-up friendly, I particularly like the 13 song.
