About the Artist
In 1990, after having recorded the Grammy Award-winning album "Guitar Shop" with Jeff Beck, drummer Terry Bozzio and keyboardist Tony Hymas met in France to jam with guitarist Hugh Burns and sax player, Tony Coe. The results were three albums of boundary stretching improvisational music which encompassed styles ranging from fusion, folk, ethnic and world beat.

Product Description
The third of the Lonely Bears trilogy. This album was recorded at Acousti Studio, Paris, May 1992 and at Ardingly, Sussex, January 1994. On these two sessions Tony Hymas, Terry Bozzio, Hugh Burns and Tony Coe went into the studios to improvise around a set of compositions. Among the tunes is the 17:00 epic "Looking For Maquah" and an interpretation of "Happy Go Lucky Loco" by Duke Ellington.

Originally released on the Nato label in 1994, this release has never been issued in the United States, and has been almost impossible to get a hold of, until now.

5 out of 5 stars Terry Bozzio is left field Jazz.......2000-06-29

Terry Bozzio really pulls out the stops on this recording. From the basis of Tony Hymas compositions (with the exception of a Duke Ellington cover "Happy Go Lucky Loco"), the band improvises and creates an incredible blend of jazz, rock, classical and various world music. The playing is incredible throughout the disc. Tony Hymas (Jeff Beck) on keyboards, Tony Coe (Frank Sinatra to George Harrison) on saxes and Hugh Burns (remember Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street"?, and Ute Lemper's incredible new album "Punishing Kiss") on guitars. The band honed their skills on two previous albums and many live dates, and it all comes colliding together on this album. This album was originally released in 1994, but never was obtainable in the USA before now. I'd love to see where the band would have gone to if they had made a fourth album together. Start with either "Lonely Bears" or "Injustice", but definitely work your way out to "The Bears Are Running".
