As implied above, this two-fer is weak in this department. 'Our Man in Hollywood' is arguably a superb all-around example of the Mancini approach. The original had a big, fat sound stage quality to the sound, but this CD is rather thin gruel. I recommend the Japanese 20-bit version as being superior to both this & the RCA Spain version. As for 'Dear Heart', this too is rather thin-sounding, and being all-choral, comes off as something 'for fans only'. I say that because Mancini's occasional penchant for things choral sounds rather dated now; as I listened to it, I wondered anew just why Lawrence Welk persists on PBS ... 'Dear Heart' is just about that sappy, but with better arranging.
