The Back Bay Ramblers have produced a gem of a CD. "Cuttin' Up" features some excellent performances, including a hot muteed cornet that really "talks to you" (especially in the song, "That Too, Do") and wonderful vocals by Karen Cameron (especially well sung is, "An Ev'ning in Caroline."). Of course Vince Giordano's masterful low-frequency instrument playing is an added plus.

The CD is authentic and very much reflective of the hot popular jazz of the late 20's and very early 30's. These ten musicians blend well together, sound great individually, and the finished product will leave fans of this style more than satisfied. Great CD--I highly recommend it.
