lee press on going down hill!!!.......2003-05-16
This one is just not as fun as the previous two. In my mind, they have gone from one of the best bands out there to just another swing band. Except, of course, their obsession with death... And sometimes it gets a little too much. The song "dark side" is one such example. I think Lee has been reading a little too much of Edgar Allen Poe or something like that!
There are a few good songs, however. Like their remake of "Ghostriders in the Sky"!

a caffeinated sonic tonic!.......2001-11-30
OK, I digress somewhat in that Lee Press-on and The Nails have captured the essence of evil manic fun in this romping CD. From the energized opening of Devil Drums forward, this CD rocks and smolders with a hellish blend of swing, jazz, and rock. Even the take on Ghost Riders in the Sky sounds clean and fresh. I especially love Shadowman (my one true friend) and Hat Back Boogie, two cuts that keep looping round my brain.
If you are looking for sonically perfect (e.g., later Pink Floyd) or accessible rock (e.g. top 40 corporate fluff), just say no. But if you want to liven up your next gathering by stimulating your friends auditory nerves with a caffeinated sonic tonic, this is your CD!
Why not just Enjoy Yourself!
