    Opening with "Evening Over Rooftops", a Powerful and Emotional Ebb Classic Augmented by the Excellent String Arrangement by David Bedford, who Had Already Worked with Kevin Ayers and Mike Oldfield, who features on "Thinking of You". Bedford also Worked on "What is a Woman For?", the Superb Rock Track that is "Don't Even Know which Day it Is" and One of the Album Highlights "Madhatter". One Song Recorded in August 1970 was Destined to Languish in the Abbey Road Vaults Until it was Discovered Whilst Researching this Reissue. "Bring it on Home" was an Interpretation of the Blues Standard and is Included on this Release for the First Time.

      Sing Brother Sing was Released in June 1970 after Nearly a Year of Work, Including Excellent Material, Such as "There's No Vibrations but Wait", "Momma's Reward (Keep them Freaks A' Rollin')", "Refugee" and "Psychopath". "up Yours" was Released as a Single but Failed to Gain Much Radio Play to the Controversial Lyrics, a Comment on the 1970 General Election and a Satire on the British Political Establishment, with Strings Stunningly Arranged by David Bedford. "Sing Brother Sing" Charted in the UK Album Chart at Number 18. Another Single Followed. "Apache Dropout" was a Fusion of the Classic Apache - a Huge Hit for Ebb Influencers the Shadows in 1960, and Captain Beefheart's Dropout Boogie. An Interesting and Previously Unreleased Early Version of this Track Has Been Uncovered for the Bonus Tracks on this Reissue.

        Underneath the Peace, Love and Gentle Vibes of the 60's Existed the Edgar Broughton Band. A Band that were Extremely Rebellious, Anarchic and Serious About the Social and Political Injustices of the Day. The Edgar Broughton Band Recorded Five Albums for EMI'S Harvest Label Between 1969 and 1973. Their Lyrics were Always Thoughtful and Often Thought Provoking, Accompanied by Music of Great Originality. The Brothers Broughton: Rob on Guitar and Vocals and Steve on Drums, Along with Arthur Grant on Bass and Vocals Became Flag Wavers for Any Radical Cause that Needed their Support. Along with Hawkwind and the Pink Fairies, the Broughton's were the First of the Proto-punks, Ploughing their Furrow Nearly a Decade Before Lydon and Co. Burst Forth Onto the 70's Music Scene.

                      Eclectic Discs are pleased to announce the release of this classic album by the legendary and infamous Edgar Broughton Band, 1975's Bandages, the band's first release upon departing EMI's Harvest label (for whom they recorded five seminal albums and two UK top forty singles in the late psychedelic / early progressive era) and was a strong and highly regarded work featuring a guest appearance by Mike Oldfield. Bandages enjoyed a fleeting appearance on CD fourteen years ago, but has been unavailable in any form for over a decade.

                      The Edgar Broughton Band had been described as proto-punk, heavy rock and underground throughout their career. They were recently (and aptly) described simply as "a bloody good rock band". These Eclectic Discs re-masters will be followed by the release of the remaining two albums in the Broughton catalogue, Parlez Vous English and Superchip in February 2006 and the first UK and European concerts by the original line up of The Edgar Broughton Band for over ten years.
