Album Description

Michael Harris and manager John Purdom had the collective vision of a progressive rock band some years ago. Through an ad on the internet, Michael teamed up with Ted Leonard, the great vocalist of the US band Enchant. After Michael and Ted spent quite some time crafting and demoing the material, they then united with the rhythm section of Haji's Kitchen and Outworld keyboardist Bobby Williamson to form Thought Chamber and record their debut album Angular Perceptions, an album full of catchy melodies and outstanding musicianship.

This is great stuff from a band that features the outstanding vocal talents of Enchant's Ted Leonard. I'm really impressed with their Kansas approach to the music. I especially like tracks 7 and 8. So, if you tired of all the compilations that Kansas has to offer and you can't wait for the new Proto Kaw, check this one out. You will be happy that you did. This has to be one of the top releases of 2007! Thanks Mr. Zucker.

Ted Leonard is singing for this super group.The musicians are great and it is very progressive.The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because sometimes trying to prove one is a great musician can be done other ways instead of going at a supersonic speed.There are some jazz elements very present and I don't particulalary like that combo.However,if done right,the results are good.

This proves that there is still inventivenes.I feel that Enchant should have been going towards this field.There are elements of fusion,metal,prog and power metal all together.

There's no doubt this group is technically phenominal. The guitar playing is amazing (absolutely amazing!) and the vocals are soaring. Unfortunately, the songs are not quite up to par with the musicianship: tons of technical wizardy overpowers emotion and message. Great promise, not yet achieved.

just picked this up, and i love it!its bands like this that help ease the pain of dream theater's latest suck-fest. brilliant songwriting, and no noodling. rob is a great drummer,he sounds different on this from his Crimeny/ Haji's Kitchen days. you will not be dissapointed ;)

This is a great disc!
It includes great song writing,instrumentals,playing and just a all-around unbelieveable progressive rock disc.
I hope to hear more from them in the future!
Prog Fans should really check this out!

    Album Description

    Pacha is THE best known name in nightclubs around the world. Since its original location in Ibiza was founded in 1972, the club has grown to 22 nightclubs dotted around the world from New York to Ibiza and from Buenos Aires to Munich. Not only are there clubs but Pacha also runs a magazine, two restaurants, a hotel, a clothing line and a record label. Over time, the Pacha name has become synonymous with all that is stylish, hedonistic and fabulous. Swank Recordings have partnered with Pacha for this first CD release.
    Kiko's debut album is a start-to-end listening experience, sequenced like a seamless DJ mix. The music has an organic, live feel to it, reminiscent of Masters At Work's "NuYorican Soul" album and has influences from Latin and Afro house to classic Salsoul disco.

    Samual Barber wrote some of the most plaintive music ever and this incredible group exploits that talent to it's most beautiful potential. Just an incredibly beautiful sound that gets inside your head and haunts you with beautiful harmony and classically exquisite articulation.

      5 out of 5 stars Amazing Album.......2004-08-23

      Being a jaded, cynical punk rock fan, as I am, it's rare when something new comes along that really impresses me, or even really holds my attention for too long. This record is one of those rare gems, and has restored my faith in this thing we call punk rock. As mentioned in the liner notes, Sam and the guys, have not limited themselves musically. Individually, the songs are very eclectic, ranging from thrash metal to emo to old school hardcore to melodic skate punk and back again. This is music for the love of music. I recommend this to anyone who prefers a little more substance to their punk rock. You will not be let down.

      5 out of 5 stars A truly rare recording.......2002-06-14

      I found this magnificent record at a russian market a couple of years ago. I had no idea what it was, and thought that it would be "just another" jazz or bebop record by this great musician but I was totally blown away when I played it. Certainly not what you would expect from Dizzy. It might be perceived as a little 'pretentious' at first because of it's owerwhelming grave and somewhat depressive sound. In my opinion this is a very introvert recording which requires full attention from the listener and is definitely not for all kinds of moods. I must say that I'm very proud to own it now that I know that it came in a very limited edition -even if I'm not sure my copy is an original considering the place of purchase ;-)

      This CD was a limited edition of 5,000 that sold out quickly, so expect to pay a premium for it now. If you can get a deal, don't hesitate. The music was a special commissioned work by JJ Johnson for large orchestra. Dizzy had been impressed by the Miles Davis & Gil Evans collaborations and JJ's work with Gunther Schuller, and so he asked for something along those lines.

      It's not the sort of sound that one usually associates with Dizzy, which may be why Verve chose it for the limited-edition series, but then that's also why the session should be so especially interesting. If there is justice, Verve will give the music another press run someday soon.
