Editorial Reviews
Bill Leigh, Bass Player Magazine, November, 2003
View shows how terrific Beller is as a bassist, but it also establishes his real talent as a writer.

Product Description
Long known as a uniquely talented yet tasteful hired gun bassist for the more adventurous rock guitarists of recent times (Mike Keneally, Steve Vai, Dweezil Zappa, Wayne Kramer), Bryan Beller ventures out on his own with his debut solo album, View. LA based Beller has composed a carefully crafted emotional tapestry of interweaving themes and styles on his mainly instrumental jazz/rock release.

Though Morning View follows hot on the heels of Incubus's breakthrough single, "Drive," it doesn't feel rushed. After all, their previous album, Make Yourself, was released nearly two years ago. Like fellow Los Angeles metal pioneers System of a Down, Incubus find themselves lumped in with the nu-metal fraternity merely because they're young(ish), angry, and very loud. That's more than a little unfair, because their sound owes more to the clever and creative funk-metal of Faith No More and the Red Hot Chili Peppers than the faux-rap posturing of Limp Bizkit. In fact, songs like "Nice to Know You," "Circles," and the excellent "Blood on the Ground" display real maturity. But that's not all that sets Incubus apart: on "I Wish You Were Here," "Just a Phase," "11 a.m.," and "Mexico," they show an uncharacteristic willingness to tread softly, using acoustic guitars and touches of strings to make less noise, but more impact. Some could call it selling out, but it sounds more like growing up. Morning View is a leap forward for a band that continues to get better with each release. --Robert Burrow

Each album gets better and better from them. This is no different. Warning is one of my favorite tracks by them ever.

There are several really good songs on this album. And I typically dont like to just sort of chill and listen to slow jams, but this is an exception.

5 out of 5 stars Great Album.......2007-04-10

I love this Incubus album, still listening to it years after it came out.

4 out of 5 stars Light .......2007-02-14

This album is a much lighter attempt by Incubus. They do a good job of making an almost inspirational tone to the entire album. Yet, if you are looking for sounds similar to their previous albums, you'll have a hard time finding any edgyness.

Cracked Rear View marks the commercial debut of these college buddies from South Carolina, and it sold an astonishing 13 million copies in its first year of release. With Darius Rucker's ringing baritone and Mark Bryan's muscular guitar framing Jim Sonefeld's bluesy, energetic southern folk rock tunes, it's easy to understand its success: It's the kind of thoroughly likable album people sing along with on the car radio. When Rucker demands, "Stand up and let me see you smile," there's something that feels real and convincing behind it; sure, it's a formula, but a sincere one, and it works over and over again. Songs like "Let Her Cry," "Hold My Hand," and "Running from an Angel" lay down the rhythm for a cohesive, feel-good collection. There may not be a lot of virtuosity behind it, but there's plenty of fun. --Barrie Trinkle

5 out of 5 stars Instant classic, over 13 million sold for a reason, still awesome original music and sound........2007-01-25

Being in college in the mid-90's , who didn't hear Hootie on their college rock station, and who didn't own this album. I dislike the fact that some people call this band a "one-hit" wonder. Yes, their first album (this one) was their most gigantic, but spawned 5 hits and other great songs. And their next album was no slouch either, selling 3+ million. Their sound is strong, original, and a great marker of that time, but it still is fresh today. A must have album in any collection of rock, many may try to imitate this sound, but nothing quite fits the nitch like Hootie and the Blowfish.

1 out of 5 stars Hootie and the Blowhards.......2007-01-04

This is perhaps one of the worst albums ever produced. While there are undeniably moments of pop catchiness, they fade within seconds. Furthermore, if you are masochist enough to subject yourself to any footage of the act, you will find a revolting arrogance that is so dreadfully misplaced that it will turn your stomach. The next time that you find yourself ever-so-briefly caught in that forgetful moment you will want to immediately destroy the device from which their putrid music emanates.

4 out of 5 stars Ionlywannabeewathyaaaoooouuuuuuuuuuuuuu..........2007-01-01

Yeah, Darius was a mumbler. But, so was every other successful frontman in those days.

It's funny what time does to an album like this. Cracked Rear View became a roaring success, then the public turned it's back on the band. Years later, nostalgia seeps in, people dust off their copy and give it another spin. Maybe they were a little hard on Hootie after the hype machine got cranked up to 11. Their career certainly crashed and burned, but they're not to blame. It's the industry's marketing gimmicks and the fickle public who never gave this band a second shot.

But, that's all over. What's left is a pile of albums nobody ever listened to and this one. It's ashame people aren't as turned off by hype these days as they were back then, because I can think of a hundred worse "artists" off the top of my head dominating today's Top 40 who couldn't hold a candle to Hootie & The Blowfish's talents.

Give these guys a second chance, because they DO have talent.

5 out of 5 stars Great start to awesome music!.......2006-11-19

This album is awesome... There is a reason that it sold 16+ million copies. Unfortunately it was overplayed and backlashed on the band, as is most music today. I will today and will always say that this is one of the best albums from the 90's/00's, as are all 6 of their albums.

4 out of 5 stars Doesn't Age Too Well.......2006-10-17

I will admit that I am perhaps viewing (listening to?) the record with a jaundiced eye (ear?), but as an occasional fan of Hootie and the Blowfish, it seems to me like this, of all their records, is the one that has aged with the least grace and comportment. That's not to say that it's a terrible piece of music, but rather that, at this point in my life, it is almost never what I want to listen to.

Perhaps I should clarify. This record is overplayed in ways that only truly abnormal cultural phenomenae can be overplayed. This record is overplayed the same way that Stairway to Heaven (and pretty much all of Led Zeppelin IV) is overplayed on classic rock stations. I was an adolescent in the nineties, and between listening to this music on the radio and listening to it on my own, I'm pretty much done with it.

That costs the record a star. Well, not just that. It's also not really the greatest musical adventure the group ever embarked upon. It's good, but I'm frankly a bigger fan of Fairweather Johnson (as an album) or Musical Chairs (for individual songs).

But, buying recommendations are what we're here for. If you're just a regular person looking for pretty much every Hootie and the Blowfish song you want, this is the record to get. This is the one that launched the band, and the one from which most of their radio songs are still drawn. And, truth be told, it's a solid record and a good addition to any collection. If, however, you're looking for the best that the band's done to date (to the extent of my knowledge--I lost track of them during the hiatus after the failure of Musical Chairs), I'd go to Fairweather Johnson first. If you don't like pop music at all, I'd steer clear entirely--you'll find nothing on this album to transform your opinion of the genre.

5 out of 5 stars CD View from The Hill-Justin Hayward.......2007-02-17

One of my absolute favorite CD's. Wonderful songs and his voice was in perfect form. Would recommend it to any Moody Blues lover.

5 out of 5 stars View from the Hill.......2006-05-24

Like all Justin Hayward and Moody Blues albums there are several songs that grab you right away. Upon further listening with the volume turned up a bit, the other songs on this album burrow their way into your subconscious. The more I listen to this music the more joy, pleasure and insight I get from it. Justin's voice is amazingly agile and he displays several singing styles that are captivating indeed. His guitar playing is extremely musical and beguiling. Just when you want to hear more it fades into the blue only to resonate inside your mind. The words of these songs are important and can be clearly heard through his terrific vocals. I thought that his statement that this album was a celebration of musical brotherhood that he had not experienced before was a bit over the top. I was wrong! This album stands with the greatest albums that he and his other brothers have ever produced. Somewhere there's music playing somewhere far away, running with open chords to meet me. Somewhere there's children playing somewhere close to home running with open minds to greet me. I bought this album as a casual afterthought. Boy! Am I glad that I have it! I am always looking for music that takes me to that place from which life glows with magic, love, peace and joy! This album can take you there! There are not enough stars in the cosmos to rate this music!

5 out of 5 stars superb.......2006-05-10

I bought this cd and at the same time I bought songwriter.
This album is by far the better of the two. It is gorgeous,
and like wine, Justin has mellowed and improved with age.
The two killer songs on this cd are 'Broken Dream' and the
beautiful but lyrically unusual 'Billy' The rest of the songs
on this cd are much stronger then those on 'songwriter', but it is to be expected - he's had about 25 years more experience between albums.
It makes me wonder why people would buy this cd if they didn't know the Moody Blues, and if they do know the moody's music, how could one possibly give this a low rating? If you are into rap, boy bands or whatever britney etc are, then this obviously isn't for you.

2 out of 5 stars Justin Hayward - 'View From The Hill' (CMC International).......2005-12-19

Looks to be Justin Hayward's most recent of five solo efforts he'd put out.Certainly nothing to write home about.Great for him he's got the Moody Blues to fall back on.Only tunes here I was even somewhat impressed with were "Broken Dream" and "The Way Of The World".I'd classify the entire 'View From...' disc as soft rock rather than classic rock, for which I'll assume this CD was aimed to be.For serious Moody Blues fanatics,die-hards and completists ONLY.

5 out of 5 stars Masterful, Justin Hayward's talent is truely a gift........2005-11-09

This is a great album. Broken Dreams is the lyrical version of absolute heartbreak. Easily my favorite of all time. His lyrics and guitar provide the listener with a rare opportunity to hear what beauty must sound like.

Children of Paradise is sweet and lovely. I imagine this song can be used as a soundtrack of all the heroic acts people have engaged in during the latest trying times in our history.

The Way of the World is truely inspiring to listen to. Hayward instructs us on the ills of this world but never lets us lose hope in it's wonders.

I have to have my fix of this album at least once a day. His talent is truely a gift, he uses it as a gift to us.

With the fury of a few Humble Pies and the forward propulsion of the Fratellis and Libertines, the View can be forgiven for sharing their name with ABC's daytime talk show. The Scottish quartet's a scrappy and needly bunch, opening their debut with "Comin Down," an angular, barking tune that gets its power dually from Kyle Falconer's short, sharp wail and a piercing twin-guitar slash. Those same guitars dish out sweet strumming for "Same Jeans," a danceably jumping paean to night-clubbing, sidewalk musicians, and "dressing down." The View like their guitars transluscent and sunny, as on "The Don," where they go all call-and-response, making a fast-shuffling vibe that brings Falconer from sweet-voiced narration to a scouring shout, as his mates harmonize, increasing the sunniness. Like their countrymen in the Fratellis, the View ought to find that bigger stage to stumble toward. --Andrew Bartlett

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Do's and Don's.......2007-07-02

The View are a talent. That's obvious. That their debut album isn't a classic is due to a number of factors. One is vocalist Kyle Falconer. (A great name!) He needs to have more faith in himself, be more strident with his self-belief. When he' not trying to sound like Liam Gallagher or the lad from Arctic Monkeys', his delivery is far too polite, (my `polite' way of saying it's wimpy) when it should be high up in the mix, competing on every level with the beefy music. No shrinking violet, but just not enough earthy swagger, not enough gravel in the delivery. A better producer might help him a bit, but ultimately it's gotta come from him.
More problematic, is the band obviously can't sustain 40 minutes yet. Proof? Two fabulous openers: 'Comin Down' and the excellent single 'Superstar Tradesman'. Bejeez, these lads CAN stir up a pop rage when the mood takes `em, but unfortunately it's the strength of these two stormers which goes some way to ultimately defeating them. Expectations get raised, and when not (quite) realized, leave one with a slightly empty feeling. It's as if they're holding back, in case they find themselves outside the fold. Reluctant to break out on their own in case the world turns nasty, but they will have to sometime. Sooner the better.
I feel cruel here, like a tyrannical despot with a cudgel, hitting little pop people for no good reason. Not my fault. Those opening blasts made me hopeful ,eager for the rest of the album to be as good, but it isn't.
On the plus side, they have got a sense of humour, check out the insane lyrics to the genuinely punky `Skag Trendy' or the otherwise dull `The Don'. But it goes seriously awry on the albums closer, which sounds like 'I Spit On Your Grave' type hillbillies singing by a bayou.
Other plusses? The Oasis-like `Street Highs' which is a solid song, and the Clashy guitar attack of `Wasted Little Dj's' (look out for that humour again!), but they're too few and far between.
I have faith in these boys though. The good stuff on here gives cause for optimism, and I really believe they have the potential to do something effective and lasting. Lets hope they can fulfill it.

3 out of 5 stars Hobbit Rock 2.......2007-06-09

This is the album that the whole of the Shire has been waiting for: Hobbit Rock in its truest form. From the squeaky hobbit perfection of 'Same Jeans' through to the tub-thumping beats of "Sam Gangee and Me", this album is a corker. I've got a copy translated from the original Hobbitish and signed by Mayor of Dundee, Gilbert D'Frodo. Watch this space for a halfling tsunami of Hobbit Rock, and those 4 feisty fellows from the View will be surfing at the front.

5 out of 5 stars Hobbit Rock.......2007-06-09

The View thrill with this their first album, a breakthrough record in the emerging genre of Hobbit Rock. Oddly proportioned small men often communicating in an unintelligible babble, influences are broad and range from the Libertines, Kings of Leon and 1980's underground Scottish performance artists, the Krankies. If you like your rock to be made by small people with big hairy feet, and to sound satisfyingly similar to lots of other bands - Hats off to the Buskers is an essential purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Great British Band.......2007-06-01

I discovered this band through the Sirius BBC station and decided I wanted to hear more. I was not dissapointed. It's a very ecletic sort of band that uses a wide variety of different types of music.

4 out of 5 stars An Antidote To Emo And Nu Metal.......2007-03-13

Brought to America by the people who gave us The Strokes and The Libertines, Scottish band The View is a quintessential, supercharged British Power Pop outfit specializing in sub-3:00 slices of controlled mania. Already stars on the other side of the ocean thanks to the catchy hits "Superstar Tradesman," "Wasted Little DJs" and the current "Same Jeans" (I've worn the same jeans for four days...), The View wears it's influences on their sleeves and veddy British they are - Oasis, The Clash, Madness, Squeeze and even T. Rex. Yet somehow the impression I kept getting was that of Herman's Hermits on crystal meth. Not that that's a bad thing.

Spurred on by the fantastic work of lead guitarist Pete Reilly, The View is angst-free fun which could bring back pogoing and other frenetic dancefloor gyrations. Songs like "Dance Into The Night," 'Skag Tragedy" and "Don" are almost epileptic fits set to music - and you can't help responding.

And yet it's the shambling, acoustic "Face For The Radio" that sticks in my memory, perhaps because it brings the goings on to a screeching halt halfway through before they hit full speed ahead immediately following. Maybe we all just needed the chance to catch our breath because The View's "Hats Off To The Busker" is one wild ride.

Climb aboard.

1 out of 5 stars A brief review of "A View From 3rd Street".......2006-10-10

You know how you walk by a creek, see the body of a beaver in the water, and wonder if it's alive? You find a long stick, give the animal a poke, hoping it doesn't jump at you.

Imagine a beaver named "A View From Third Street". I poked it with a stick, and it merely bobbed.....

What were the people who have written reviews of this album listening to? I heard dull arrangements, mediocre singing & songwriting, the same basic boring tempos throughout. There is nothing on this album of interest, or that challenges the listener. Not one track is notable, even in a negative way. This CD defines bland.

Please, please spend your money on ANYTHING else.

5 out of 5 stars great, great, almost perfect pop album.......2006-07-10

This album takes me back to 1990, and of the big hair 80s, and a time of youth and innocence being lost. At the time I lived on a "3rd Street" and went through a tumultuous break-up with the love of my life and college sweetheart. Among all the very dated hair metal and other bands clogging the airwaves I heard "Baby It's Tonight" and bought this album the same day without knowing anything about Jude Cole. Maybe the album didn't save my life per se, but it saved my heart, and heartache. The album is a bit of a break-up album, but it's not done with cliches, just straight up emotional honest feelings with amazing production and great senses of mood. Unlike the metal bands and the other cheese of the end of the 80s, I can still pop this CD in and it's fresh as the day I bought it. Actually I'm on my second CD, I actually wore the first out, it's that good and worth repeated and repeated listens.

I then had the distinct pleasure of emailing, and getting a reply from Jude Cole, "The Man," himself in the mid 90s. I expressed what his album had meant to me and he sent back an equally heartfelt thanks... he's every bit the great guy that comes across on this album.

Everyone should have this CD in their collection who loves music, has had some type of heartache or longing, and is passionate about music. Amazon doesn't havhe a high enough rating for this album. Buy it today.

5 out of 5 stars The Man who does it all..........2005-12-12

Jude Cole is an amazing performer. From the first time I heard the first few riffs of "Baby, It's Tonight" on the radio, I was in love. _A View From Third Street_ is one of those CDs you will memorize. You will sing along to every verse of every song at the top of your lungs in your car.

There is a reason Jude Cole is respected the way he is throughout the musical community. There is a reason why new artists such as Lifehouse are collaborating and recording in his studio. He's a writer, producer, singer, and plays multiple instruments. His work goes greatly underappreciated and under-recognized.

Buy this CD -- you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars a great CD from the early 1990's... A View from 3rd Street.......2005-04-25

Embarking on a solo career in 1987, Jude Cole released his self-titled solo debut on Reprise Records. While his debut was mostly overlooked by critics and fans alike; Jude's sophomore release, A View from 3rd Street [Reprise Records], faired much better. It received critical acclaim and was openly embraced by adoring fans. Unfortunately, this was the apex of Jude's solo career. His subsequent releases failed to spark interest and have gone mostly ignored.

Since 3rd Street's release, Jude has put out three more solo records. Start the Car was released in 1992. It spawned two moderate hits with "Start the Car" and "Tell the Truth." His next release came in 1995 with I Don't Know Why I Act This Way, released on Island Records. His final release as a solo artist came in 2000 with Falling Home, released independently on CDX Records.

A View from 3rd Street is easily Jude's most prominent foray into popular music. Its bluesy-rock appeal engaged fans and garnered radio support. "Baby, It's Tonight," "Time for Letting Go" and "House Full of Reasons" all made an impact on the charts. "Baby, It's Tonight" reached the Top 20 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart in Spring, 1990. In addition to the hits, other notable tracks include: "Compared to Nothing," "Prove Me Wrong" and "Hallowed Ground."

It's no denying that Jude Cole's influences are strongly rooted in blues and folk-rock music. These influences are enhanced by the production crew and contributing musicians. Dave Tyson produced the set. He was the driving force behind production for Alannah Myles self-titled 1989 debut album which spawned the number one hit, "Black Velvet." Additionally, Jeff Porcaro (of Toto) contributed on drums to "Compared to Nothing" and Pat Mastelotto (of King Crimson) contributed on drums and percussion.

Jude Cole's most recent contribution to music has been through songwriting. His credits can be seen on the most recent hit for Lifehouse, "You & Me." He co-authored the track with the band's lead singer, Jason Wade.

5 out of 5 stars Finally got it.......2005-03-11

Jude Cole is one of those artists I have loved but I've tended to sort of forget about until the next rare time I would hear "Baby It's Tonight" on the radio. The most recent occasion of hearing that song a couple of weeks ago, however, motivated me to get online and look for this CD "A View From 3rd Street" and I will NEVER forget about Jude Cole again.

Like everyone else who first established themselves in the very-late 80s and early-90s, Cole's style became a victim of the depression and angst-filled decade following the advent of Nirvana et al. Cole sings a lot about breakups and heartbreaks, which aren't the happiest feelings themselves, but he takes a more upbeat musical approach to the subjects. "Baby It's Tonight" was one of my favorite songs in junior high and I'm glad I've rediscovered "House Full of Reasons" and "Time for Letting Go", both of which I recognized immediately upon hearing despite having heard them even LESS than "Baby It's Tonight" over the years. That often doesn't happen with a lot of songs. But this CD also contains awesome undiscovered stuff like "Heart of Blues".

Little can be said about the talent of Jude Cole that hasn't been said or discovered by fans of this unique and incredible artist, but the preceding has just been my take.

5 out of 5 stars The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra needs a guitar player!.......2006-11-09

Granted, they only need it for one composition (the last one, "The James Bond Theme") but still, without the guitar it's just not the same. Barry didn't compose this one so I suppose it was a bonus and I shouldn't complain, really. The rest of the music on all the CDs is fantastic. Some of the stuff I had heard before without realizing who had composed it. Very enjoyable, to say the least.

5 out of 5 stars Persuaders Theme!.......2006-03-02

Buy it for the Persuaders theme, probably the best TV theme song ever written.

5 out of 5 stars A Variety Of Classics!.......2005-12-06

John Barry has been composing film scores for over forty years and this is only scratching the surface of his productions. Never mind that the entire set is recorded by the Prague Philharmonic; it's pure to Barry's themes. While John Williams compositions ("Star Wars", etc.) are wild and flamboyant and Jerry Goldsmith's (Hoosier's, etc.) are mood pieces, John Barry crosses over all barriers and is amazingly diverse. Barry has recorded most of the exciting James Bond themes, melodramatic classics like "The Lion In Winter' and moody theme hits like "Midnight Cowboy". He also tugs at the heartstrings with compositions from, "Somewhere In Time", "Frances" and "Out Of Africa". He varies his themes for all types of films and few composers capture it so well.

There is over four hours of music in this set with a colorful and informative booklet.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible Barry Collection.......2004-03-11

Any fan of movies will absolutley love this collection. Being a movie buff I couldn't wait to get this boxed set. Knowing Barry from all the James Bond movies, I did not realize his involvement with so many others. The orchestra is magnificent in all these themes. I'm listening to "High Road to China" right now and I'm drifting in the clouds in a Tiger Moth with Tom Selleck and Bess Armstrong. If you are familiar with a movie it will definitely have you seeing it again, if not the scores are still beautiful. Any fan of classical music will be pleased as well. Travellers will defintitely enjoy it for a long drive. I know from when I use to travel that music like this made the miles float by faster. I highly recommend these four CDs even if you just know a handful of the songs.

    5 out of 5 stars I don't say this often.......2007-06-22

This is a CD I like so much I can listen to it from the first to last track straight through without skipping any songs, over and over again. It's just good fun music. Label it what you will, but it's really good.

5 out of 5 stars This Debut Album is a HIT !!.......2007-04-29

1997's debut album "...A Better View Of The Rising Moon" scores high marks in my book. With Lyrics like, "Turn the lights off. I don't want to see myself doing this" as found in the song "Garden Of Evil" or from the song "Hey Darlin" , "Casting shadows on the pavement, dancing toe to toe" keeps one tapping their foot and enjoying the music.

With a splash of Mandolin, Banjo, Harmonica and even Cello, an extra unique flavor, which sets the band well apart and above the typical carbon-copy emo-type sound. 1997 does not yield to, or continue down the easier passed path placed on today's stages from other bands - 1997 has found their own path and forge ahead without screaming or cursing or songs without substance.

From "Waters Edge" to "Curse Or Cure" - the entire CD is a treat to hear and enjoy, over and over!

5 out of 5 stars First album I've spent money on in a long time........2007-04-18

A Better View of the Rising Moon is an exciting debut reminiscent of 1997's extremely energetic life performance. Each track keeps you on your toes. The vocals leave you raising your head to attention only to nod it in appreciative approval. This album is also far from deficient in the melodies department. The beats and melodies will have you jumping on your bed, pounding on the steering wheel, or likewise expressing enjoyment wherever your listening venue may be. This album is new and exciting as 1997 is not afraid to blend exciting touches of folk and pop into their pop-rock/emo/indie music mossaic. Critics are raging, and not just myself, as they proclaim "Victory Records seems to have really found a diamond in the rough." [...].

5 of 5 stars. I had been heavily anticipating this release and I was in no way let down as I still have troubly deciding (and all for good reasons) eactly which track I should name my favorite. Keep an eye out for these kids, they sure know how to make music.

      5 out of 5 stars E.M. Forster Trilogy.......2005-07-14

What a great soundtrack collection! My favorite is Maurice followed closely by the Howards End disc. I'm a big fan of the E.M. Forster worx and found the music to all of the films to be an integral part of the atmosphere, standing up amazingly well on their own, while evoking the most memorable images of each. If you love romantic, sweeping, bittersweet music, you'll love this collection.

      5 out of 5 stars award-winning Merchant Ivory soundtrack.......2004-05-02

This box set is great, especially the music for "A Room with a View." This is exquisite, elegant melody-making, combined with a great sense of atmosphere as well. This music really made the scenes in the films come to life! Now when I hear these tracks, I'm transported back to scenes in the film, like Lucy exploring Florence, or standing at th embankment of the Arno river with George, Lucy and Sistel at the "Sacred Lake" where they shared a very awkward kiss in the film (hahaha), etc etc.

      Very enjoyable.

5 out of 5 stars very deep and moving music.......2002-12-30

5 out of 5 stars Which one is the best..........2002-06-28

Strangely enough, I liked Howards End CD the best (I seem to be in minority), especially tracks #4,5,11,12 - I loved the pieces where Leonard takes his all day and night walk... Maurice - I really only was extatic about the chore piece (i think #5), and Room - the opera piece Puccini - I loved it the most. Still Howards End I find the most powerful and moving...

      5 out of 5 stars Robbin's great !.......2001-01-06

Dalianny is right, this is simply a superb collection of the works of a great original scores composer... Worth bying for the powerful score to "Room with a view", there is nothing bad to say about the other two, with a special mention to Maurice, one of the best adaptations of all times...
