Product Description
Recorded at the bucolic Castle Music Studio near Nashville, Tennessee, Echo Park captures the NPT in late 2001 after a year of intensive touring. Filled with big beats and new ideas, Echo Park moves easily from rollicking samba (Summer Soft) to afro funk (Oumou), and post-modern jams (Echo Park). The NPT explores new rhythms and textures without relying on cliché or losing touch with their listeners.

5 out of 5 stars IT"S FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-04-18

OMG! I cant believe it's happened! They've finally put this album on CD! I've been looking for it (literately) for 20 years. In my opinion this is the best that Pseudo Echo has ever done. The songs are Fantastic! My favorite has always been "Dancing Until Midnight" The music just flows, has a romantic theme. It brings back a lot of memories. I think the sound quality is excellent. A reviewer said that the sound was remastered from a record (LP), I've listened to it with headphones and have not heard any difference/inconsistency in the sound. Brian Canham is definitely one of the most sexiest male voice's ever heard!
This is a must-have for fans!

3 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled by the word "remastered"........2006-03-09

I was shocked when I saw that this album was finally available on CD. Honestly, I never thought I'd see the day that would happen. It is a very obscure title. My warning to those that are about to purchase this CD however, is not to get your hopes up on perfect sound quality. This CD was definitely remastered from a record (LP) and the b-sides from 45's. Granted, they did a good job cleaning it up. But still, from a record? I had heard in the past that the band was not allowed access to the original master tapes for whatever reason. I guess it's still true. It is completey ridiculous that they weren't allowed to use their own master tapes. There must be a legal issue with the old record company or something. Very strange.

5 out of 5 stars A new wave gem finally on CD--with the Friday the 13th Part 5 track!!!.......2005-12-13

A gem of synth/guitar new wave dance music, Pseudo Echo's first album is possibly better than their follow up, which contained the hit cover of "funkytown". Ironically, several of these songs were rerecorded (or maybe just remixed) for inclusion on the second album. But the original tracks are just perfect, and great 80s treasures for fans of Flock of Seagulls, Berlin, etc. And finally, here on CD is the track "His Eyes", used in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, when the punk chick is listening to her headphones before getting smeared by Jason.

5 out of 5 stars FINALLY!!!!!.......2005-11-16

ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE. TO HAVE THIS ALBUM ON CD IS AWESOME. THIS IS THEIR BEST ALBUM AND CONTAINS SOME GREAT POP SONGS. BRIAN CANHAM'S VOICE IS ONE OF THE SEXIEST MALE VOICES EVER. TOO BAD IN AMERICA THEY WERE MOSTLY KNOWN FOR FUNKYTOWN.

5 out of 5 stars THE MASTER OF ALL MASTERS.......2005-11-04

Well what can I say, this is just an AWSOME FUNKY cd with added goodies. You cannot miss out on this one. Finally the cd we have all been waiting for too long and it was well worth the wait. Again Pseudo echo at the best. This was Pseudo Echo's first album which was only ever available on vinyl and now thanks to Almacantar records and Pseudo Echo, they have done such a great job releasing it on cd, it is just and AWSOME master. You have to add this cd to your collection. Don't miss out, you will not get sick of listening to this great sound real 80's synthesizer (I just love it)!! you can dance to it all day. I will definately be grabbing another copy, words cannot express its excellency. Be sure to get a copy while its available you just cannot miss out on this one. Enjoy! Patricia

5 out of 5 stars Rocks Like Few Things Do.......2006-07-23

First of all, I'm not a super major Feeder fan. I've only heard "Polythene" and "Yesterday Went Too Soon" and liked Yesterday better. That being said, "Echo Park" is the best of those three.

This album is solid from beginning to end. I had a hard time picking a favorite tune. In fact, it was one of the best albums I've heard since Embrace's "Out of Nothing." It's one of those just-push-play kind of albums. The content and form of each song is fitting: the rockers kick, and the ballads were true to themselves, not wimpy or contrived.

Check out: Satellite News, Piece by Piece, Turn, Seven Days..., and Under the Weather for a good sampling. Buy this and let your friends borrow it.

5 out of 5 stars The most amazing album ever!.......2004-04-06

This is the most fantastic album i have ever heard. i don't think I truely appreciated music until I first heard Feeder! They really are amazing and this album completely showcases them. Every song is great in its own way and it's so difficult to chose a favourite because of this. There are 'happy' songs like Buck Rodgers and Seven Days in the Sun which make you want to leap around playing air guitar and more mellow ones like Turn and Oxygen that are great at making you reflect on life. if you don't listen to it you are really missing out!

5 out of 5 stars Feeder Come Alive.......2003-09-28

A brilliant album from one of the best British rock (indie rock) bands. This album has everything a great album should have and more, it is truly a masterpiece. The song Buck Rogers was absolutely huge in the UK and really helped to promote and sell the album, fortunately that was the only single to be hugely overplayed. Every song is absolutely superb, especially We can't rewind and Turn, which in my opinion are two of the best Feeder songs. Anyone's music collection that doesn't contain this cd is incomplete. Feeder ROCK!! especially echo park!

4 out of 5 stars Check out the Japanese edition.......2003-07-04

Echo Park is FEEDER's Third album.
There are a lot of cool guitar tracks on this album.
For example:

Standing on the Edge
Buck Rogers
Seven Days in the Sun
Choke
Tell All Your Friends
Under the Weather
Bug
This music includes very cool guitar sounds, which are very rhythmical.
I had a friendly feeling toward this music because I like rhythmical music.
If you like rhythmical music, maybe you can enjoy this music.

However, this album includes not only rhythmical rock music, but also
some beautiful ballads.
For example:
Piece by Piece
We Can't Rewind
Turn
Oxygen
These tracks are beautiful ballads.

I think that the balance of the music is good.
Not only rockc Not only balladc

Especially, this album includes Buck Rogers. It is a popular song in England.
Check it out.

4 out of 5 stars Music to be blasted loudly!.......2003-05-27

Prior to releasing three previous albums which, to be honest, have not done an awful lot for Feeder (despite being wicked cd's), this is finally the work which will guarantee them mainstream mtv success and sales with future records.
This is a wicked cd. I have found that there is a song on here to suit my every mood. Sure, there are elements of Coldplay here, but remember, Feeder were there first! 'Buck Rodgers' is one of the most infectious records I have ever heard. As soon as the bass line hits in it has you hooked. Generally, this is a very positive, reassuring cd. The lyrics of songs such as 'We Can't Rewind' and 'Seven Days in The Sun' are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and of course, the chorus to Buck Rodgers - "I think we're gonna make it, I think we're gonna save it".
From a female perspective, it helps that Grant and Jon are drop dead gorgeous (buy it just for their pictures on the inlay cards), but this is a great reflection of Feeders past career peaking, demonstrating how their skills have matured over time to produce such a magnificent album. It truly is a piece to be proud of. There are no wicked guitar solos or notable rock'n'roll moments that are going to go down in history, but tak it on face value and don't compare their skills to other musicians and you will find a goldmine hidden within this cd.
Like this? Check out Coldplay, Radiohead, Muse and Delirious?. Buy it. You won't regret it :)

3 out of 5 stars The original non-live version I have 10 times better........2007-01-20

I just ordered this cd, after having refound the original Autumnal Park, I was curious to see what the live cd was. To tell you the truth, I was a little disappointed. I much prefer the original. Maybe if I were to actually see them live, or would have seen them live, it would be different. In the meantime, I'll stick to the original, which I do give 5 stars... I love, I love, I love...

5 out of 5 stars ROCK ON LIVE WITH PSEUDO ECHO.......2005-11-04

Now this cd really rocks. This live cd of Autaumnal Park is so fantastic its like you are really in the audience rocking with them to funky town, listening and a beat for you now this really beats the drums. I also have this cd in my treasured collection and it is just fantastic. Top quality sound what more can you ask for and you can just rock to it. There are not many live cds out there from bands especially 80's bands and how lucky can we get to get one from Pseudo echo? Thanks to the Pseuds for making this awsome cd available and how lucky to be available overseas. Be sure to grab this cd before you can't any longer, it is just an awsome cd to add to your collection and just keep rockin to this awsome band ever to exist. when BAY CITY ROLLERS sung "The Way I Feel Tonight" in 1977 was felt too mellow and sweet even for teens.(I was 16 in 1977).
but MIGHTY ECHOES version of this is simply heartful and beautiful for over 40 man like me.
and another great Acapella version of "Morce Code Of Love"(originally recorded by CAPRIS)is the best tracks I think, but all songs has becoming more wonderful by their soulful voices.very highly recomanded.

The Mighty Echoes are the most fantastic group to join the music industry in years. Their voices, harmony, energy, and obvious joy performing their songs, should not be missed by anyone enjoying good music and a trip into the past.

The A Cappella rendition of the music makes the songs authenic and appealing. I would wager that no individual could keep from tapping their foot or singing along...I certainly could not.

    Album Description

Recorded at the bucolic Castle Music Studio near Nashville, Tennessee, Echo Park captures the NPT in late 2001 after a year of intensive touring. Filled with big beats and new ideas, Echo Park moves easily from rollicking samba (Summer Soft) to afro funk (Oumou), and post-modern jams (Echo Park). The NPT explores new rhythms and textures without relying on cliché or losing touch with their listeners.

I work at a jazz club and am privileged to say that I've seen New Power Trio three times. I RARELY buy the CDs that our acts sell because I've discovered that they usually disappoint me. I'd simply rather not hear a studio set after hearing a live performance. This CD is simply a cut above the others. I find myself smiling throughout every cut. Nate's touch reminds me of Keith Jarrett's and the compositions are outstanding. Another album soon, please?

5 out of 5 stars Smooth and spunky.......2002-11-04

Like their first disc, Echo Park finds the NPT exploring jazz sounds and beats from many nations, weaving together a vast array of influences seamlessly. A great set, whether you want to hop around the room a little or just chill.
