I just happened onto this cd while in Amsterdam where it was a featured buy in a local music store. After listening to two songs I knew I had to buy it. Since then I've ordered 3 different copies for friends. It's lush, soulful and even though I'm gay, she's one sexy woman. The fact she wrote all her own tunes makes this cd even more remarkable.

Remarkable voice.......2004-02-11

Rebekka Bakken, a Norwegian who spent a few years on the New York club scene, has a remarkable voice. She sings with strength, soul and sensuality. All the songs are self-penned and accompanying her is an outstanding group of international musicians. The CD is currently only released in Germany where she has a big following. She will undoubtedly find many new fans in North America.
