From the Artist
Lynne Arriale, pianist, composer and bandleader of the piano trio described by Grammy-winning jazz journalist Bob Blumenthal as one of the most empathetic threesomes in jazz', is on top of her game. Her cds have hit #1 at Jazz Radio, #17 on Billboard and the Best of' lists in The New Yorker, UPI and Economist. And now, The Trio will be featured on PBS and NPR. Technique, on which Arriale works extremely hard, often practicing for eight hours a day, is important only in as much as it allows her the freedom and power to express real emotion. "It's no good having the notes if there's nothing behind them," she says. "In life, we can say beautiful words but the tone of our voice expresses everything about the intent and true meaning of what we are saying." And just as the best speakers carefully choose their words to convey their message, Arriale takes it as a personal challenge to convey the emotionality of a song directly to an audience. "I have found that the key to expressive playing and truly spontaneous improvisation is singing. I always sing out loud when I practice, and I sing internally when I perform," says Arriale, who began playing the piano when she was four, and has a Masters degree in classical piano performance. "It's a lifelong process to teach my fingers how to sing." It is very important to her for music to have a vocal quality and a heart connection. It is this heart connection that she delivers to her audiences time and again.
Product Description
COME TOGETHER, marks The Lynne Arriale Trio's 10th Anniversary and their 9th recording together. Working exclusively as the leader of her long time trio, Arriale has amassed a body of work that has been favorably compared to the great piano trios: "
A brilliant improviser
(she) should take her rightful place alongside Brad Mehldau," (Jazz Times.) "A superb performer
her Trio is more than a match for Jarrett's," (The Times - London.) Come Together is her most personal expression to date, featuring six compelling original compositions (along with the Lennon and McCartney-penned title track, a prayer-like arrangement of the traditional Scottish folk song Red is the Rose' and the New Orleans musical anthem Iko Iko'). The title track of Arise, her own composition, was one of the most requested instrumental tracks on jazz radio in 2003. "It inspired me to write even more originals for this new CD," says Arriale. The Trio will be featured on the special "Profiles of a Performing Artist" airing on PBS member stations throughout '04 and 05, also on NPR's Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland and, for the second year in a row, NPR's Jazz Piano Christmas - Live at the Kennedy Center.& European tour dates.
Come Together
Come Together,Lynne Arriale Trio,Motema Music,"Stunning piano work - the Trio has attained the level of communication paramount to all great threesomes." (Jazziz); "The ballad phrases she spins out are articulated with ravishing simplicity...the seemingly nonstop abundance of Arriale's imagination,,Jazz,Pop,Post-Bop

Customer Reviews:
Fabulous for any Broadway-lover.......2007-01-30
Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.
Top Shelf.......2007-01-04
This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.
TERRIFIC CD'S.......2006-03-23
THESE BROADWAY MUSICALS CD'S ARE A BROADWAY LOVERS DREAM. WITH EACH SONG, MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK. BOTH THE FAMILIAR AND THE FORGOTTEN SONGS ARE A TRUE LISTENING PLEASURE. IF YOU LIKE BROADWAY, YOU'LL LOVE THIS SET.
Great Collection of Broadways greatest Songs .......2005-06-14
This Collection was perfectly made it has almost all the most famous Broadway songs on this 5 cd set. The Music is great and has Broadways greatest treasures like "Memory""People""With One Look""Give my regards Too Broadway" just to name a few of this numerous cd set with over 100 songs. This is a great buy if you like musicals or The music of Broadway
Great Compilation!.......2005-01-17
If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

These Georgia rockers rode a tidal wave of fame after their superb Offerings release in 2000 netted a ton of Dove Awards as well as Grammy nominations. The ensuing whirlwind found them clinging tighter than ever to the foundation of their faith as well as to their music. The aptly titled Come Together melds the group's immense talent into a compelling must-have release. Mac Powell's growling vocals have always been a signature for the band and that hasn't changed. But thanks to producer Monroe Jones, Come Together also illuminates the fine guitar work of Brad Avery and Mark Lee, all the while supported by the skin-tight rhythm of bassist Tai Anderson and drummer David Carr. The driving rocker "Get On" is balanced by the gorgeous balladry of "It's Alright." In between the two, Third Day beautifully rock our world, and for that we should be grateful. --Michael Lyttle

It's conspiracy no.5 2! (with a southern twist!).......2006-07-01
This album is the best of 2001!I bought this CD with my lawn-mowing money and It's great!!My personal favorites are:come together,40 days, show me your glory, when the rain comes, and nothing compares. This album takes us on another ride (like conspiracy no.5)Except it has a more southern twist.I hope you buy this and if you do,enjoy!

This cd gets better every time I listen to it! The lyrics hit home and make you think of God's grace.
Where good music & lyrics Come Together.......2005-02-14
Come Together is a great album that combines great music and great lyrics. My personal favorites are Come Together and 40 days. Those are the first two tracks on the disc but don't think that it goes downhill from there. The disc is full of southern rock treats and a ballad or two. Overall this disc doesn't disappoint. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
This CD is a must have!.......2004-12-29
Some of the songs take a few listens to grow on you, but when they do, they stick with you! This is a kicking album from the first to last song!

Customer Reviews:
Definitely worth the donation.......2006-08-08
The track by Norah Jones and Wyclef Jean, alone, is worth the purchase price. I am surprised no one else has commented on it. To me, this juxtaposition of voices and styles is truly powerful and moving. Norah Jones' contribution is a soft, sad, lamentation -- it ebbs and flows like the waters of the Mississippi. Wyclef Jean then punctuates the sad lullaby with his poignant rap -- "I hear the engine on the boat, but y'all cant see me waving the flag, somebody please wave the flag!" The overall effect of this juxtaposition is truly powerful and it makes me cry for New Orleans every time I hear it. It brings images of people on roofs waving flags, rescue workers saving lost and frightened dogs in the flood waters, big X's on houses destroyed and deserted. Bonnie Raitt, Aaron Neville, Harry Conick Jr, and Van Morrison also make excellent contributions. While I am not a fan of about 30% of the songs, I would never consider this $15 a waste of money.
Patti LaBelle makes us want to come together.......2006-03-16
I love patti I have everything by her from cd's to dvd's to watching her show on tv one! I only bought the cd because she was on it. She sounded great and so did all the other artists but kelly price kept singing over patti and i hated that! She just needed to shut up she sounded awfull. They should have let patti sing more though other than that it was great! BUY IT NOW!
A forever gem.......2006-02-26
This is a great example what a benefit/relief effort is all about; people from all loctions focused on one goal. Many genres of musical talent helping one key national crisis. A personal friend and favorite in the Arizona Music Scene is the great Jerry Lawson who teams with his new a capella venture, "Talk Of The Town" and the magnificent Rod Stewart on Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready".
great title song and so much more.......2006-02-24
Every cut on this cd is wonderful. Our entire family loves it, and we have jazz/pop/hip hop/rap fans! I bought it for one song and was shocked to see so many great songs...it is well worth the money. I had never heard a few of the artists, but I am now a loyal fan. The songs with huge choirs of singing stars were such a bonus. Sadly, I couldn't find any of the words for the songs on any lyric site on the Internet or in the CD. It would be nice to have those lyrics...that's my only criticism. Great music!
Disappointing.......2006-01-31
The good news is that the money went to an excellent cause. The bad news is that the choice of artists and songs were not, in my opinion, worth listening to.

Worst Album Ever.......2007-04-10
I don't know who had the idea for this tribute, but they should be exiled from the music industry forever. Never in my life have I ever heard something so terrible. This album is not a tribute or salute. It is an insult to The Beatles and anyone who has ever heard these songs before. All I can say is, why? Why in the world would anyone make this album, much less listen to it. I am truly shocked and amazed that something as aweful as this could exist.
To My Surprise.......2006-11-13
I bought this cd out of curiosity, and mainly because Randy Travis and Chet Atkins is on this album. To my surprise, I was blown away...this has today's best C&W musicians, doing their own personal interpretations of the old Beatles' standards. I've never heard of Suzy Bogguss or Susan Ashton before, but now I do. Their voices are incredible! I listen to just about every music genre, and this cd is one of my Country & Western essentials.
US country covers of Beatles songs that works brilliantly.......2006-05-06
The concept of different music styles being applied to another e.g. Dylan songs having had both spiritual choirs and reggae tribute CDs, is one of those gambles that when it works can be brilliant. This is one of those succesful cases taking the great Beatles songbook and having a range of different country and western (not all of them well known to me) apply a range of interpretations.
The great aspect for me is that the approach in each is so fresh (notably "We can work it out" with a mock string quartet intro by Phil Keaggy & PFR) or just as enjoyable as the original ("I'll follow the sun" by David Ball and "All my loving" by Suzy Bogguss & Chet Atkins especially impressing). Inevitably there are a few bummers - I fear I cannot take Tanya Tucker's "gargling with gravel" earthy voice very often and certainly not on "Something" but overall the quality is so good I would put this CD up there as one of the best Beatles tribute I have heard.
NOT A NEW IDEA.......2004-04-30
Literally 100s of country artistes have made Beatles songs and one of the best was Emmylou Harris' "Here there & everywhere" from the 70s.
Delbert McClinton played harmonica on Bruce Channel's "Hey baby",a singer who co starred with the Beatles at New Brighton in 1962.Supposedly an influence on the Beatles own first single to include a harmonica.
In the mid 60s the first country musicians to do Beatles Music were the Charles River Bluegrass Band and Chet Atkins ("Picks On The Beatles") so its not a new idea.Even Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr did country music in Nashville
This album worked it out.......2003-11-11
Before I begin, I should say that I am not a big fan of the Beatles, never was, never will be. I respect them for their influence, but I prefer to listen to those that influenced them and those whom they influenced.
With that out of the way, this album is fantastic. David Ball's rendition of "I'll Follow the Sun" is perfect. It is one of my favorites. "Help!" by Little Texas is, to me, the song on this album that most closely resembles the original, yet Little Texas makes it their own. "Paperback Writer" is by one of the least recognized artists of our time-Kris Kristofferson. Acting, singing, writing-he's done it all.
Hands down, the best cover on this album is "We Can Work It Out" by PFR and Phil Keaggy. These guys aren't very well known outside of the Christian market, but for harmony and guitar work, there are few who are better, secular or Christian.
Others on this album include Delbert McClinton, Huey Lewis, and a haunting "Nowhere Man" done by Randy Travis.
Beatles fans may cringe at the idea of others covering these tunes, but remember, this album only solidifies the importance of the Beatles' influence in American and global music.

Beatles Baroque.......2005-09-26
Sometimes you long for that old 'elevator music'. This is the one to get!!!
Boring - Boreades.......2005-09-15
I think that this CD is really boring, it's music of The Beatles performed in Barroque Instruments, but the music is 99% The Beatles and 1% Barroque. Really boring.

The line between evangelist and entertainer has always been somewhat indistinct. But as showcased on this 43-track, double-disc collection culled from his '87-'96 recordings for Elektra/Nonesuch/Atlantic, Michael Feinstein's dedication to spreading the gospel of the American song often blurs it beyond recognition. While the singer's pedigree for the task is impeccable (a long-term stint as Ira Gershwin's assistant and early career sponsorship by Liza Minnelli), his interpretations often succeed by playing off a tense axis of fervent emotionalism and a joyous sense of irreverence.
If his readings of romantic standards can sometimes tend toward the precious, they're often balanced here by sheer dramatic power and telling insights ("Isn't It Romantic" fairly bristles with ironic chauvinism) and a few loopy curves ("The Mole People," the Sherman Brothers' "The Ugly Bug Ball," and the previously unreleased "Rhode Island Is Famous for You"). Feinstein's dedicated song archaeology is also showcased on several gems: "Violin," a duet with Liza Minnelli; "My Favorite Year," a rejected ballad for the film of that name; the sublime "lost" Gershwin classic "Ask Me Again."
Sprinkled with live performances (the forum where Feinstein's talents seem most energized) and studio outtakes and featuring a lengthy print interview with the singer, the set chronicles both the pioneering efforts of one of pop music's most successful revivalists and, crucially, the cream of his beloved American songwriters, from stalwarts Gershwin, Berlin, and Porter to later legends like Herman, Styne, Lane, Martin, and Mercer. --Jerry McCulley

Mixed feelings.......2005-10-05
This album has some GREAT songs on it; sophisticated swing being one of my favorites. However many of the other songs are too operatic and lame. I give three stars but this album is definatly worth it just for some of the better songs.
Your love for this superb collection will be here to stay..........2002-07-18
The magnificently talented Michael Feinstein has made one wonderful album after another for nearly two decades. Now that Elektra and Rhino have put together this anthology, I am blown away by the versatility and diversity in Feinstein's recorded output. Such amazing rare gems, combined with the most beloved favorites in the history of American Popular Song. Assembled with wit, intelligence, and obvious affection on the part of the record company, this set is a keeper. You'll love it!
He's done it again.......2002-07-15
Is there anything this man can't sing? This collection is so varied as to be the definitive collection of songs for any occassion.
This is perfect background music for a dinner party for a whole group but especially for two. Light, romantic and just gorgeous. You just can't go wrong when Michael Feinstein is your musical choice.
Way to go Michael, you've done it again!
Absolutely 'S WONDERFUL!.......2002-06-10
There are very few contemporary performers who can hold their own with the truly great interpreters of American popular song. Michael Feinstein is truly the ONLY performer of the "younger" generation who really understands what these songs are all about. His incredible knowledge of this music, and his enthusiasm and passion for it have fueled his career. Rhino Records has done a truly outstanding job of putting together an anthology that exemplifies why Mr. Feinstein has become so beloved by audiences around the world. The packaging is excellent, and filled with interesting photos and background information about many of the selections.
This collection not only contains all the favorites one would expect, but a neat group of surprises too. I especially love the duets with people like Liza Minnelli and Rosemary Clooney, and the various collaborative efforts with songwriters like Jule Styne and Burton Lane accompanying Michael at the piano.
This collection is a classic to be treasured. Bravo Michael!
Bravo Rhino!
A beautiful 2 disc CD-another hit for Michael.......2002-06-09
I have every CD Michael has ever made and this is by far one of the best ones because of Michael's range in singing and his wonderful singing voice. I love his duets with Rosemary Clooney and Liza Minelli. He is a wonderful performer on this double CD and am looking foward to the next CD.

With a grandfatherly voice reminiscent of Burl Ives, Hap Palmer delivers another musical collection of healthful lessons geared toward the preschool set. The title song in this case refers lightheartedly to a question posed to the child participant in a lesson in distinguishing between fantasy and reality. Other songs focus on such topics as the recognition of colors, learning the days of the week, and understanding the concept of opposites. Engaging the child in participatory song and movement, Palmer's tranquil collection strives to teach, entertain, and occupy simultaneously. The liner notes include the lyrics and activity objectives for each song, which is helpful for a parent or preschool teacher when guiding children through the music. --Bryony Angell

We love this CD.......2007-03-08
My children dance and love this CD. We listen to it in the car and I love it. Hap Palmer CDs were introduced to us at a Music class for my children and he really has cute songs. There is only one song on the entire CD that I don't like (MONDAY MONDAY..)
One of the best CD's in our child's collection.......2002-03-13
Hap is really a marvalous musician and lyricist. His word play is very fun for the kids and very singable for the adults. I recommend him highly for any children under 5 or 6 but especially for those who are looking stretch from the nursery rhymes and first songs style collections.
Simple, yet very powerful learning is going on here . . .my daughter really, really tunes in to this CD . . .I'm sure yours will too.
Stand out for my daughter are the Weekly Rap . .she likes it when they go really fast at the end . ..Can a Cherry Pie Wave Goodbye? and the Animal Quizes .. and her latest fav is the Opposites song. My fav is Pocketful of B's . .which I find myself sometime playing when the kids are not in the car! Egads!
Kids learn with every song!.......2000-03-19
I came across this tape in my school's resource room and my 1st graders love it! Some of the songs are more for kindergarten or even pre-K, but my kids LOVE the title song and have made up their own using rhyming words, which has been great!
They also LOVE the Weekly Rap...they literally (eek!) go nuts over it! Kudos to Hap, I will have to check out his others!
Hap Palmer has done it again!.......2000-03-13
I teach a Kinder-Gym class for preschoolers and "Cherry Pie" is the cornerstone of my whole program! We use the parachute for "Put a little color on You", and we use the beanbags for warmup activities with the "Beanbag Alphabet Rag"... Then the fun REALLY begins! The children love the friendly, lively tone of the music, and I enjoy singing and moving along with Hap. Best of all, Many of the songs, once memorized can turn a long wait on an errand into a fun, educational break! This one's a hit with me!
Can A Cherry Pie Wave Good-bye?.......2000-01-23
The music is delightful for young children with lots of movement

Amazon.com essential recording
Sir Thomas Beecham's Messiah has become notorious among baroque purists (like this writer) for embodying the worst excesses of pre-1960 Handel performance: ponderous tempos, stentorian opera singers, huge lumbering choruses and orchestras, crashing cymbals, clanging triangles.... Well, we'll need a new straw man: this performance is WONDERFUL. Jon Vickers and Giorgio Tozzi negotiate Handel's writing surprisingly well; Jennifer Vyvyan takes to it naturally. The chorus and orchestra (yes, including trombones, tuba, triangle, and cymbals) may obscure the part-writing, but they fill the music with power, grandeur, and faith. If Mozart could re-orchestrate Messiah, why not Beecham? This may not be Handel's Messiah as such, it may even be a period piece itself--but it's magnificent. --Matthew Westphal
Customer Reviews:
Beecham's noisy Messiah.......2006-12-23
Here's the famous Messiah from Thomas Beecham and forces that uses crashing cymbals, enhanced timpani and brass to make it sound like a collusion between classical forces, a rock band and Canadian Brass. Listen to second CD excerpt from "Hallelujah!" for the opening cymbal crash to get an idea of what's going on.
This performance has been debated for 40 years as to whether it is musically adept, musically correct, an exemplar of the English choral tradition, or just a big old batch of fun at Handel's expense. I first owned this during a time when I also owned a recording Handel's "Royal Fireworks Music" featuring 40 woodwinds. The two made roughly an equal amount of noise.
There isn't much question this performance is completely out of step with the way Handel is performed in most venues today. Check out the wonderful Jon Vickers' highly operatic opening aria, "Comfort ye", then compare that to any leaned-out period group you've heard. You'll get another idea of the dimension of Beecham's project.
While not on the agenda of the Flat Earth Society, the only real interest in a performance like this -- especially having to endure it on three CDs when just about everyone else puts it on two -- is nostalgia or history, whichever happens to be the case for you.
My personal favorite version is in the 4-CD box of "Messiah" and "Israel In Egypt" where Andrew Parrott leads his Taverner Choir & Players and some of the best early music singers including Emma Kirkby, Emily van Evera, Margaret Cable, David Thomas, and Joseph Cornwall. HIs Messiah isn't perfect -- it uses a countertenor for a bass in one aria -- but it is more moderate than most PPP recordings and has a wonderful romantic edge to most of the score. It comes with a top notch recording of "Israel in Egypt" and still costs less than the Beehcham.
The Big Victorian Handel 'Messiah': Indulge Yourself!.......2006-12-16
We live in an era when purity of intent and respect for composers' works is at an all time high. Not only are we blessed with superb 'authentic' performances on period instruments and with small choruses and countertenors and state of the art bel canto singers for Handel's evergreen "Messiah", there are many superlative recordings that are as polished as any one work on current recordings. Supposedly we are hearing Messiah the way Handel envisioned it. Perhaps so, but who is to say that had Handel the resources available today he wouldn't have jumped for joy at the drama of the old British Choral Societies version that Sir Thomas Beecham conducts on this anything but dusty recording from many years ago. The 'Old School' had its good points.
Beecham goes all out with an orchestration, while attributed to Sir Eugene Goosens is also probably some of Beecham's own inimitable tinkering, that adds instruments not only in numbers but also in color and depth of sound. Winds double strings, percussion includes the full battery instead of just tympani, the big cello and viola sound stand equally with the big violin sound, etc. The chorus is huge, and while this allows the big dramatic moments to be intense, the fine diction Beecham demanded remains solidly intact.
The soloists are in an operatic class of their own. Jennifer Vyvyan and Monica Sinclair were major singers when this recording was made and their singing is big and well ornamented. Jon Vickers and Giorgio Tozzi bring Verdi into the room and he is a welcome visitor to Beecham's vision of this work.
For this listener, who prefers the 'correct, authentic' performance, this recording and others even older that celebrate the BIG Messiah are a delight. And that just proves that performance standards, no matter the interpretation of the conductor, are paramount: Beecham gives a solid, convincing interpretation to the operatic Messiah. It is lush, and huge, and absolutely wonderful to hear again! Grady Harp, December 06
Comfort Ye!.......2006-10-30
If your not familiar with "Messiah" don't let the reviews scare you - this is certainly a great choice for your first or only recording. There is a lot of feeling in the playing and singing, and i feel it is quite respectful not only of the composer, but the subject matter. It includes a booklet with all the lyrics, and an essay by Beecham himself about the piece. It is a complete recording, with a "bonus cd" of extra verses not usually performed (as explained in the essay). The audio quality is great for the time it was recorded. Its much more worthy to be listened to and contemplated than to be put on as backround music at Christmastime. The price is certainly reasonable in light of the quality of the performance.
Familiarity hasn't bred much affection.......2005-11-02
I first became acquainted with this recording at the tender age of 12 when I received the original Soria edition as a Christmas gift. I remember being intensely disappointed at what seemed to me then as more circus than music. Time has mellowed that negative reaction and gives a more balanced assessment of Beecham's achievement - I bought the CD reissue after all. It still doesn't inspire much affection in yours truly although I can appreciate the soloists' contributions, particularly Tozzi. The lamented Vyvyan was in better voice with Boult. Here she has a rapid vibrato and a curious way of articulating the high notes. The orchestrations seem to maintain more of the clarity of the writing by concentrating on the bass and the top without clogging up the middle voices in the manner of the Victorians. There are three pieces where it just doesn't work at all to these ears: the brassy "All we like sheep," "Hallelujah" (which summons visions of Fucik's 'Entry of the Gladiators' every time I hear it), and the disintegration of the obbligato trumpet into flute noodlings in "The trumpet shall sound," in a lightweight performance that is at odds with the grandeur of the text. I'll also admit that the splashy brilliance of "For unto us a Child is born" and the surging drama of "Surely, He hath borne our griefs" are very satisfying.
In the forty some recordings I own (and the many performances I've attended) there's no best and no definitive. This is one I respect but don't care to hear very often.
Thanks to Jon!.......2005-03-08
This recording is worth having first of all beacause of the credible singing of Jon Vickers! Yes, he really sings on the words. The "Comfort Ye" and "Every valley..." have a knew dimension after Jons reading of the score. Of course I know that in tradition we want a very much more lyrical voice to this masterpiece. But he's not alone here, and now we are already into the problem; the choir! It's just terrible, yes terrible!
I'm just ending up with "Thanks to Jon!"

Cool Techno-Tribal Groove.......2005-03-01
Wow ! This is a real departure from Zingaia's earlier releases and I love where they take me on this new musical adventure. Super cool techno-tribal beats, world rythyms and sampled voices from Africa and the Near and Far East blend beautifully. This release really transports me into a whole other world. While I really love the vocals from Abbi Spinner and Katlyn Breene from the previous releases, this new drum heavy trance inducing excursion from Zingaia is a complete a joy and an amazing listening experience.
Dissapointing!.......2005-02-16
I might like this album better if I didn't already have a fairly large collection of albums by Putamayo World Music which are much better than this! The reason I mention that is that this album reminds of the things that company releases, just not nearly as good.
I have both of their other releases which are superb! They are all about Sacred Sex and praise the Lady and the Lord. This album is bland and boring compared to the other two. The only good thing I can really find to say about it is that it might be enjoyable to drum along with it.
However, I have several other albums I like better which are also good for drumming along with. If thier next album isn't any better I will have to revise my opinion of Zingaia!
Soles on Earth is Out of this World!!!.......2004-10-27
This latest release by Zingaia (their third) is vastly different than their previous releases, both of which I absolutely love. Where their first release "Beneath the Veil" is a trance journey into the seductive heart of the Goddess, and their second release "Dancers of Twilight" featuring the alluring vocals of Abbi Spinner, further develops the original theme, deepening and expanding the voyage into musical spirit; with their latest release "Soles on Earth" Michael & Katlyn Breene and crew launch into a tribal poly-rhythmic trance dance groove that is no less than phenomenal. Middle Eastern, East Indian and African rhythms combine with sampled vocals from around the world to produce an album that sets the mind, body and spirit free to dance joyously to the pulsing rhythms of life. Definitively the most eclectic of their releases yet, Soles on Earth will stir your soul and get your feet moving. I give it my highest recommendation.
