Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars very satisfying.......2005-08-02

all the rare requests are worth owning....I like a mix and these are the best. Good jazz for listening, driving or grooving....all cd's are great. You won't be disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Kool Disc..........2005-01-04

Nice compilation! Will serve as nice background music for a party of close friends.
First cut (Freedom Words) is a hopping, up-beat number that is well produced. Next cut (Foreign Nature) is a well played familiar "airy" piece with a slight Latin feel... one of my favorites. Next is "The Most Beautiful Girl" which is al little strange, but it grows on you as it plays... features some nice Tenor Sax work from an obscure(?) Brian Gallagher.

Next up is "Ocean Way" which is a great guitar piece by Brazilian; Torcuato Mariano (See http://musicabrasileira.org/reviewsinterviews/tmdiario.html). This cut sounds a bit like a Russ Freeman piece, but better. For me it was one of the best listening pieces on the album. I need to look into this guy more.

Next is "Felinicity", a fantastic smooth and silky piano piece with some great guitar rifts.
"NYC Trip'n" is a nice funky piano piece... Yes the bass lines are there in the background. I imagine this one gets some airplay late at night in the big apple.
"ML in the SunShine" is an ok guitar piece... probably the low point on the album and it not all that bad. It has some great riffs for those that like creative guitar work and don't mind the Xylophone.
"Darlin' Darlin' Baby" is cut 7... with some great guitar work is well done and is easy on the ears.
"Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child " is a piano and string "play" on an old classic. It is well done and hints as to why this is a classic tune that has stood the test of time.
"For Real" features the guitar work of Eric Essex, who for those that know, is no stranger to the Smooth Jazz listening world. One of his best!
"Summer Soulstice" is the compilations final cut... Has a nice tight Funky feel.
All in all a nice album...
Enjoy
