The Armada M700 delivers Compaq's state of the art technology with the flexibility you need as a professional on the go. The Armada M700 uses the Mobile Intel Pentium II or III processor. They continue to support MMX-enhanced multimedia software and offers unmatched all-around strength in business and gaming applications. Armada M700 features quick memory which can be upgraded as your needs grow. A huge hard drive gives you all the space you'll need to store monster applications and plenty of storage-hogging multimedia files. If you're the type of user who just can't get enough storage, there's also the option of plugging a secondary hard drive into the Armada's MultiBay. With a large display, the Armada M700 is perfect for presentations. Its active matrix screen is viewable from many different angles but if your audience is just too big to crowd around, the Armada M700 has an external monitor port allowing you to hook up a large monitor or TV display for the benefit of everyone in the back row. The AGP graphics controller has fast SDRAM video memory, enabling rich color depth. Armada M700 comes with either a CD-ROM or DVD-RAM preinstalled which can be swapped with a number of devices including a SuperDisk LS-120, additional Hard Drive or an additional battery! A 16-bit audio module with Sound Blaster Pro compatibility is integrated into the notebook, along with built-in speakers, a microphone, and audio in/out jacks.
