Toshiba's Tecra 780 is an advanced professional notebook. It brings you the latest mobile processing power, and is highly configurable for use at the office or on the road: the Swiss army knife of notebooks. This Tecra 780 uses a 266MHz mobile Pentium II processor. The Pentium II's advanced microarchitecture runs business and multimedia software alike with incredible speed and fluidity. 512KB of L2 cache memory helps the processor maintain peak efficiency. A 13.3 inch active matrix color display provides plenty of viewing space for you to see your work. 64MB of SDRAM comes standard in one of the Tecra's two SODIMM memory sockets. The large notebook's hard drive should provide you with plenty of storage space for programs and files, and for extra storage, an additional hard drive may be used in the Tecra's SelectBay. The Tecra 780 is a complete multimedia notebook, with a modular DVD-ROM drive and integrated Yamaha wavetable sound controller. The Yamaha chip produces 3D Sound Blaster Pro compatible audio output through the Tecra's stereo speakers; the notebook also has a built-in mic, audio jacks, and manual volume control.
