We mainly watch the music and dance shows, but she watches it at least 30 minutes per day. I am glad it has real music and not just classical (it includes Duke Ellington and Miriam Makeba).

For some reason she hates Camille Saint-Saens.

Much better than Baby Einstein, which has pretty cheesy versions of classical tunes.

We bought this when our son was six months old. He's nine months now. He won't really tell you if he's enjoying it or hating it. We believe that he is liking it, or at least, he better be liking it!

We have a music system that doubles as a DVD player. So we mostly play the DVDs for the music alone. Occasionally when our kid is not too restless, we may turn on the video. But he rarely sits and watches (which in a way, is reassuring).

We enjoyed the compilation so much, we ordered a couple more to gift to friends.

I thought that the 3 movies were each going to have original footage. A lot of the same scenes repeat throughout each of the movies. It was a little disappointing for me because of the repetition of scenes in each of the 3 movies. It makes the movies seem too much alike. Looking back, I would have been fine just purchasing one of the 3 movies instead. But, that said, my toddler loves these. I think she thinks the 3 movies are the same, though, too.

This was a gift for my grandson who spent hours watching, singing and dancing to this video. I liked watching it with him and recognizing the beautiful works of art and the interaction with the classical selections. Even though its for baby, I think its appropriate for all!

My girls really enjoy doing this "dance class". My only real complaint is that I'm disappointed that I didn't order the "Dancing for Kids (Baby Ballet / Tot Tap / Junior Jazz)" DVD instead. It looks like that video includes this baby ballet dance class as well as a Tap dancing class and a Jazz class, so it would have been better value. It also would have been nice to have a bit of diversity.

The tape is very well put together, the segments are short, the program is easy to follow and my daughter has a lot of fun with it.
I am only giving it 4 stars because the title is absolutely misleading- this is not a tape for babies. The moves require advanced motor skills, the ability to follow instructions and a bit of concentration.

Cheesy...but she loves it!.......2007-01-10

I bought this DVD for my 3 year-old niece. It looks like someone taped it at their daughter's dance lesson, but my neice loves it! She has watched it over and over again and does the exercises right along with the dancers. All in all, I'd give it a "2" for cinematography and a "10" for doing what it was designed to do-pique her interest in ballet.

This product is great for my 3 year old daughter. This is just like having her go to a beginner ballet class. She loves this dvd and wants to watch it almost every day. It is a well organized format, and easy to follow. Yes, the teacher doesn't smile, but my daughter doesn't mind, and that's what matters.

My 4 yr old is in dancing. I bought this tape hoping to help her, plus give her some exercise when it's too hot outside to do anything. But, it sucks. It's cheaply made and is so boring my daughter will not do it.

I bought this video so that my daughter could review the basic steps learned in her pre-school dance class. She really enjoys the video - it's like having an instructor and a bunch of kids her age in our home. I enjoy it also because I can practice and learn along with her. One section (ballet, tap or jazz) is a great mini work-out that tires her out before bedtime.

My daughters were 4 and 7 when we got this video. It was age appropriate for both of them, but never really held their interest. They both were already enrolled in dance class and I felt this was a good reinforcer of dance vocabulary. Some parts of it were very simple, some parts were too complex for them and they became frustrated and stopped watching it. I certainly don't think that the titles "Baby Ballet" and "Tot Tap" were fitting. This was for kids older than babies and tots.

Well, I bought this video with some trepidation, because there were a few negative reviews. At the time my daughter was about 18 mos and very interested in gymnastics and music - but of course, way too young for a dance class. We watched it the first time with some dismay - Ms. Rosemary is a little dry, and the first time my daughter didn't pay much attention. But the next week she was asking to see "the girls" and doing the first few steps.

My daughter is now almost 2 1/2 and LOVES this video. We are pretty strict about limiting video time to only one or two hours a week but I worry a little less with this one as she is actively participating in the class, not just sitting and staring. I try to do it with her so it's even more interactive, and so I can reinforce the steps. She loves to watch the girls and the dance steps are taught slowly enough so that, with repetition, she gets the jist at least (my performance expectations weren't high!). She does the hip-hop dances everywhere and has really learned the rhythm as well.

This has been a great learning experience for my daughter, who is very physical and musically-oriented. I highly recommend this video for anyone wanting to introduce their young daughter to the world of dance. Also a good way to see if your child is ready for a class. I just wish there were more videos like this - we'd buy them.

My daughter loves the "Look and Listen at the Park" and the "Farm" ones. This one has alot of yoga moves in it...and unbelieveably...not much dancing or moving. That's what I purchased it for b/c my daughter loves to dance...but the other 2 mentioned above are better for dancing in my opinion. This one is probably better for kids over the age of two.

My 20 month old daughter LOVES this DVD. It's a great DVD on cold and rainy days for us to "work out" together. My daughter knows the four main characters by name and does their animal sounds when introduced. I also like that it introduces her to concepts of fast/slow, small/big and counting to 10. I brought this to my sister's home over the holidays and at one point had 5 kids all up and moving. Ages ranged from my daughter's age up to 5 years old. It was a lot of fun.

I bought this for my daughter (18 months) b/c she loves to dance but I never knew she AND my 6 year old son would have so much fun with it. She now asks for it calling it "eyes" b/c of the head, shoulder, knees and toes portion and has learned concepts like big, small, fast, and slow. Even my 5 month old is facinated by it. I put it on while I'm cooking and I get to finish cooking dinner in peace. EVERYONE should have this video for their kids.

My husband and I have 7 month old triplets. We found Classical Baby on HBO, and began watching it with the kids as part of our wind down before bed time. It is incredibly calming for all of us. The kids love it. The music and animation are done so well. We initially steered away from DVD's, but this one is worth buying and showing to your kids.

Pleasantly Surprised.......2007-02-16

I have a 15 month old daughter who enjoys watching videos which show children being active. Music and Action are a must to keep her attention. When I first popped this DVD into the player she watched for a few minutes but then decided her toys and books were more fun. The next time I played it she was sitting in her highchair eating a snack and since she was trapped - she watched. She laughed and clapped as the toddlers jumped, cheered and danced across the screen. She has since become my little cheerleader, and has learned how to use her little blankies as Pom-Poms! It is quite adorable. I will definitely buy another DVD in this set!

Great fun with baby!.......2007-04-23

I love this DVD! It's good exercise and my baby loves it! I'm sure there are probably more intense work-outs out there, but it'd be hard to do them with baby and with dance you can really choose how much you put into it - I always end up sweating!
The DVD has a series of dances, strength exercises on the floor and stretching on the floor. The instructor explains everything well, taking baby into consideration. I hardly even realize I'm working out because it's so interactive. My baby loves both the dance and floor part. He'll smile up at me or fall asleep while dancing and just laughs and laughs during some of the floor moves (sometimes he's fussy so we miss some parts of the floor exercises, but that's just life with baby).
Why I really love this DVD is that some days I'm just not motivated to work out and plan to skip it. But then baby gets fussy and I know this DVD will solve it, whether it's the dancing putting him to sleep, or playing together through the floor exercises. So I'll pop in whichever seems to fit his mood (then usually end up doing the other section after!) Highly recommend.

My husband got this for me as a Christmas gift. My 7 month old daughter and I have so much fun dancing to the latin tunes. I wish I had gotten this as a shower gift so that we could have been dancing with it sooner. I really enjoy the relaxed format. The music is so much fun and I almost feel like I'm on vacation. The best part is that there is no special equipment needed, but I do reccomend a front/back carrier for older heavier children, shoes are optional and no special outfits required. My daughter loves to be in her carrier and is always fast alseep by the end of dance #4. We haven't had a chance to try the floor exercise portion since she falls asleep in her carrier during the dance portion but I have watched it through and it looks beneficial. I highly reccomend this CD for any new mom!

Great Shower Gift.......2005-09-09

I love Latin dance so I was thrilled when I could share this passion with new mothers with fussy babies. Susan Peach is a very friendly instructor who is obviously very thorough in her approach. Her two concerns seem to be safety and fun. It is hard to have fun if you can't follow the moves and she breaks down the steps on this video so that even mothers who have no dance experience can very easily follow. When the little ones are asleep she then invites the mothers to go to a section where they can learn the steps on their own again very well presented. I think my favorite part of any video is the outtakes at the end. It shows that the DVD was professionally done but by a real human being. You will see Mambo Moms stepping on trees! Well, I don't want to give the plot away but do consider this DVD for yourself or keep a couple on hand for a unique shower gift. No one else can top this gift and since I am a grandmother and my daughters are going to lots of showers I always keep the DVD on hand. It is timeless! I would highly recommend it.

I love this workout! You do have to wait until your baby can hold her own head, but you can do it on your own, as well. When my baby was finaly the right age (around four months) she was to heavy for me to hold, so she sits while I dance, and enjoys the video. She laughs out loud every time it starts, and giggles at the babies. I also use some of the steps while holding her when she gets fussy, and she loves it.

I found it very difficult to find time to work out after I had my third baby. This DVD made it very easy (it's broken into segments so you can do as much or as little as your schedule allows) and my baby loves it. My older kids like to dance along too. I wish I had known about this workout much sooner.

This is by far the best postnatal workout DVD I have seen. Three warm-ups, six cardio dance routines, one stretch and one slow dance work perfectly as a group or as an a la carte menu if you are short on time. I also like the fact that all the moves are VERY CLEARLY demonstrated BEFORE the actual dances, while you have an option to skip the demonstrations and go straight to the dances. It is a very well and smartly executed product. I also like the fact that all the dances are done, not in a gym, but in warm and pleasant home environments.

My baby and I just love this DVD. The dances are simple to learn, but they really burn off the baby fat. There is a good variety of music which is nice if we're in a particular mood- no excuses for not exercising! I also like that there are so many songs, giving us something to build up to; my baby and I still can't quite make it through all the dances. This DVD really makes exercise challenging and fun while bonding with my new baby- exactly what every new mommy needs!

This may be great a product, but you won't find out through Amazon. After waiting months and getting numerous postponement e-mails from Amazon, I finally cancelled my order. Although Amazon claims this DVD is available, I have a feeling I was never going to receive it. If you're interested, I suggest looking for another vendor.

This DVD was made after baby one more time exploded onto the scene. it contains no performances or music by britney, and only has a few pictures of her. It's just a bunch of interviews with people from her hometown in louisianna...all of which have hair straight out of the 80s and don't work well in front of cameras. It's been recorded on a home video camcorder obviously.

my advice is to skip this...save your money, it's a snoozefest. Even if you area huge britney fan, you'll end up regretting buying this.

This release is unauthorized, Britney makes no money from it.

Funniest Britney Documentary EVER!!.......2004-06-27

This documentary is the funniest thing in the world! The quality of the film is odd and it's unauthorized so none of Britney's music or preformances can be used so, instead, the filmmakers subsituted some weird music to sound like a Britney song. Classic! The core of this documentary is basically people from Britney's hometown talking about how great she is and how they always knew she'd be famous and yada yada yada. Some of the subjects interviewed are so painfully stupid that you want to shoot them yourself to put them out of their misery but, you still want to laugh at them. The best interviews are with some forty something women waxing poetic about Britney. No offense to Kentwood, LA but, you guys might wanna think before you do interviews about Britney, at least practice in a mirror before you go on camera. Needless to say, this dvd is only intresting if you like laughing at people (who doesn't?) or you're a die hard Britney fan.

OK don't watse your time buying the video. It looks awesome but you need to buy time out with britney spears if you want alot of britney and an awesome video.The ONLY piece of britney you get is a clip of her singing @ a mall! DO you want just that and some of her friends talking about her life this is for you but if you want alot of britney check out time out with britney spears.

O.k. this is just a waste of money... If you wan't to see Britney Spears I'd advise you to get Britney Spears Live and More, or Time Out with Britney Spears... This video has absolutely no Britney Spears in it at all, and no music videos and just plain nada... Unless, you are a collector on Britney Spears items that would be the only logical reason of getting this video... I don't like reading books and I found Britney Spears Heart to Heart book more interesting than this! I give it two thumbs down

This movie is a brilliant biography of the queen herself. In this video, you visit britney's hometown, a place where everyone fears God. You meet a creepy "music reviewer" who works in a trailer down by a wharf, and whose eyelashes are all gooey from weeping over britney. You'll meet her old friends who she left behind, choking on her southern dust. you'll see the look of ultimate loss and confusion in their pitiful, dewy eyes. And then you'll see them jump on a trsmpoline!!! Fun for all!
