The film that answers the immortal question: what species is Gonzo? Kermit the Frog's curly-nosed friend feels alone in the world. When his breakfast cereal starts spelling out questions and he hears voices, Gonzo is convinced he must be from outer space, and his alien brothers are coming to earth. Of course, there are evil scientists (led by Jeffrey Tambor) who kidnap Gonzo to learn his secrets (like "What do you do with a nose like that?"). The usual brand of merriment from the gang is in good order, especially in the opening scene when the Muppets start the morning under one roof. It's not as memorable as earlier films, but nevertheless the joy and sly humor will warm most souls age 5 and up. Human cameos include Ray Liotta, Rob Schneider, Josh Charles, Andie MacDowell, David Arquette, and F. Murray Abraham (as Noah, no less). --Doug Thomas

The story is cute and has some pretty good SFX too. But what idiot is still chopping widescreen movies down to fullscreen??!

You just have to love the genius of Jim Henson. This movie brought back fond memories of my childhood. It's true the movie star cameos can be cheesey but they are funny and just add to the movies charm. If you are a Muppet fan you have to have this movie to complete your collection.

Gonzo Finally Finds Where He Comes From.......2006-07-10

Muppets From Space is a fun movie for kids and adults alike, although it does lean more towards the kiddies. The makers of this new Muppet film put in a lot of the nostalgia of the amazing Muppet movies of the seventies and early eighties. So Muppets From Space has that "seventies" feel and vibe throughout, which adult fans like me of The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper and The Muppets Take Manhattan will appreciate. While lacking orginal songs, the soundtrack is also all seventies and early eighties like "She's a Brick House" and "Celebrate."

The story is kind of Gonzo meets X-Files. Gonzo is receiving strange messages from his breakfast cereal. His housemates Rizzo the Rat and Pepe the King Prawn are less than sympathetic. Even Kermit seems to think his friend has gone off the deep end. Meanwhile, Miss Piggy is trying hard to land a news anchor job at a local TV station. Will the alien craze be her ticket to the big time? One person that does believe Gonzo is the diabolical head of a secret government agency in charge of seeking out life in outer space. When Gonzo goes to them for help, he finds himself in big trouble.

Muppets From Space does not equal the great films of the 80's. It doesn't have that magic, although it has its moments. Nevertheless, an enjoyable film worthy of Jim Henson's beloved creations.

Those Crazy Muppets.......2006-03-04

This movie was freakin' hilarious! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys and appreciates Muppet hummor. Though, there were some jokes made that were probably geared more towards adults, children would love it as well. It is a light-hearted and fun film.

What is up with "Kermit's Swamp Years"?!! Why not, "The Muppet Movie" or "The Great Muppet Caper" with the other two movies? Who cares about "Kermit's Swamp Years"? They can only get you to buy this lousy movie by putting it in with the other two. They couldn't sell it by itself. This 3 pack should be at least $5.00 cheaper because of "swamp years".

I love muppet movies!The Muppets are puppet characters created an some performed by Jim Henson.Some muppets are Kermit,a loveable frog who is the leader of the gang.Miss Piggy a pig who loves to steal the spotlight.Gonzo a whatever(nobody really knows what he is until "Muppets from Space").Fozie is a bear who thinks he's funny but is'nt.As you see thre are many different characters.They are all performed very well and I love watching them.

By the way, the reason Muppet Treasure Island and Muppet Christmas Carol are not with this set, probably is because Disney owned the Muppets when these movies were made and I believe they still own the rights to them. You will just have to buy them individually.

I'm giving this box set of Muppet movies four and a half stars instead of five only because they didn't include Muppet Treasure Island or the Muppet Christmas Carol in this pack, which are also great Muppet movies!!

I grew up watching the Muppets. Now in my twenties, I get a kick out of watching them all over again with my kids! They are so funny! I can't believe how many adult jokes are in these films that went completely over my head as a child! I laugh at these movies just as much as my kids do (if not more!)

They are all great movies. My favorites are The Great Muppet Caper and Muppets from Space. But all four are excellent!

The Muppet Movie is The Muppets first full length feature film! Kermit heads out for Hollywood after being discovered by a big time talent agent who tells Kermit that he is destined to be a star. Along the way to Hollywood, Kermit makes friends with the cast of loveable Muppets: Fozzie Bear, Gonzo the Great, and Miss Piggy. Together they decide that they are going to be famous movie stars and embark on a journey where they run into other famous movie stars: Bob Hope, Edgar Bergen, Milton Berle, Mel Brooks, Dom DeLuise, Elliott Gould, Steve Martin and more!! But the evil Doc Hopper starts chasing after them because HE wants Kermit (or, his legs anyway) to do the advertising for his Frog Legs company! When he kidnaps Miss Piggy, Kermit rushes to the rescue and falls right into Doc's trap! Now they have to find a way to escape and still get to Hollywood before Doc makes Frog leg soup out of Kermit!!!

The Great Muppet Caper is full of action, adventure, and humor! Kermit, Fozzie Bear, and Gonzo all work for a Chicago newspaper and travel to Great Britain and vow to get to the bottom of the robbery of Lady Holiday's diamond necklace - and end up meeting a ton of Muppet friends along the way! There are special guest appearances by: Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Steve Whitmire, Loiuse Gould, Kathryn Mullen, and more!

Muppets Take Manhatten is a story about an aspiring Broadway director, Kermit the Frog... He has written a musical that includes all of his Muppet friends and he has finally found someone who will produce it on Broadway!!! But, a week before opening night, Kermit gets hit by a car and smack his head on the ground and gets AMNESIA! Kermmit doesn't know who he is or where he is, so he creates a new life for himself and gets a job at an advertising agency on Madison ave. Now his Muppet friends can't find him and the clock is ticking down to show time! The hunt is on - they turn over every rock of Manhatten looking for Kermit... can they do it before the show is completely ruined??

And finally, in Muppets From Space, Kermit takes a back seat for a change to Gonzo The Great! Gonzo begins to feel left out of the loop - he has no family members and really has no clue of who he really is. But when he gets a message from his relatives from outer space that they are going to come pick him up, he tries every way possible to try to communicate with them! Everyone thinks Gonzo has lost his marbles - but when word gets out on Miss Piggy's talk show, UFO Mania, a secret government agency captures Gonzoi and will do ANYTHING to find out when his alien relatives are coming to earth! So it is up to his best firends: Kermit, Rizzo, Foozie bear, and the hilarious Pepe to save Gonzo and make the earth safe for his relatives to land!!!
