The movie arrived in super condition.I had seen this movie only once many many years ago and had searched for it but did not know the title. Then there it was was on AMC. Had to have it for my collection. Great acting, super plot and an even better ending.

Both Passport DVD's I've had the misfortune of viewing (this one & Plan 9 From Outer Space) have a large "PIP" logo on screen for the entire movie which is extremely distracting & unneccesary. For quality, get the Roan edition.

I got the wrong idea somewhere. When I originally read about this movie I heard it was about a tough gangster, played by Paul Muni, who after death tries to bust out of Hell. I was very excited.

I rented it and it's nothing like that at all! Instead of BRUTE FORCE in Hell this is some overly sappy story about a gangster who dies, is fooled by Satan to go back to Earth and ends up doing good instead of bad.

Anne Baxter is enjoyable (and easy on the eyes), but outside of that I was disappointed in the hokieness of the whole thing.

Nick (Claude Rains) never satisfied with the amount of soles caught, has his hat set for an incorruptible judge. He will recruit Eddie Kagle to replace Judge Fredrick Parker (both played by Paul Muni) in exchange for a second chance at life.

I you were raised Catholic then you will recognize the title as you have a devil on one shoulder and an angle on the other and you are struggling in the middle.

There is great interaction between Paul Muni and Claude Rains. This move takes unexpected twists and turns. I may remind you a little of "The Devil and Daniel Webster "(1941). However no one can play "Nick" as well as Claude Rains.

I kind of like the way they return to the surface. I never trusted those types of elevators. Before you write off Anne Baxter as just another personality in this film remember that she was also Nefretiri in "The Ten Commandments" (1956)

When I was a child my father used to talk to me about Paul Muni. When I watched "I Am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang," and "Angel On My Shoulder," I understood why he was one of his prefered actors.

A cute anime about a boy and his robot. Cute and funny series, but the first disc has some growing pains. Kurumi is endearing, but very pushy and this makes her grating at first. She gets better throughout the series, but when she first awakens she's very whiny. The series gets a little better when Saki comes along and creates a love triangle (with Kurumi in the middle rather than Nakahito). I'm not fond of mini-episodes, but the action is fun, the acting is great, and the animation is one of the best I've ever seen. It's very smooth and pleasant on the eyes. Not the greatest anime, but great fun. I also love the opening theme.

I have to admit I'm dissapointed with the english voices. But then again I dislike dubbed anime. I enjoy this anime because its drawing style is like "ToHeart". I enjoy Kurumi's trademark "Kyuinn!" its so cute. I would reccomend this series to anyone that likes "Saber Marionette". This series is unique in the fact that the creator made the word "Kyuinn!" for Kurumi to use. The anime is really refreshing to watch for the super deformed chibi characters. But it also gets into the serious manga like drawings too. Its funny in the fact Kurumi is pushy and won't leave Nakahito alone. Saki won't leave Kurumi alone. And Kamihito is the envious older brother. Ayanakouji hakasei is told to back of that he is a "Strange man" and Kurumi just flat out tells him to get lost she won't do what he says. She pushes anyone that gets close to Nakahito away and says "Dame! desu!" she gives the idea that Nakahito is hers and only hers. Its a really cute story about androids and the imperial army sending other "Koutetsu Tenshi" to kill Kurumi because of her "Angel Heart kai". "Koutetsu Tenshi Kurumi" is by far one of the best animes I've ever seen!

When I rented this from blockbuster, I saw the cover and went "Say what?!" I've always had a fascination with robots, and then the whole "angel" thing seemed cool, so I figured "Oh, these three (yes, three, they didn't have the fourth DVD, which is now PISSING ME OFF.) DVDs, I was like "Oh, cool! Robotic Angels come to save the world, and stuff!"...Well, I was sort of right.

Never-the-less! I LOVED the first DVD, it's so CUTE how they meet!! ^O^. And how he's so taken aback by her approaches, and scared...poor little guy. (*eyes glaze over.* I'd love a girl to be like that on me..) But, enough with MY wants. The kid, Nakahito, really just wants to chill, and by chilling, I mean to become a mystic, like his elder brother. Too bad for HIM, he's got a destiny to fulfill!

I suggest you rent it first, then see if you like it. I suggest you get them all, because, like me, you'll wanna watch them over and over again, just to takein the cuteness!...but the subtitles are straight translations from japanese, so if you didn't hear something, and look at the subtitle, it won't be the same. -.-. Just informing you...damn american writers..

I pretty much only started watching this series for two reasons- It had Kelli Cousins (Princess Nine), Hillary Haag (Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040), Kira Vincent Davis (Princess Nine), Monica Rial (Excel Saga), and Tiffany Grant (Neon Genisis Evaglion) --sorry, horrible spelling tonight! -- . Also, I like that kind of Genre. Action, Why, Comedy, and Robot Half Human. So I watched this DVD, right? Of course. It's very funny, in a weird way. However, Kurumi's voice...ahem. Kelli plays Seira in Princess Nine, so if you've seen that, look at that series and you'll get the idea. She can't exactly play a cutesy voice, but it seems like she warms up to it and so will you...just let it buuuuurrrrrrrn into your ears ^_^. But you hafta give her credit, it's her first very lead role. Anyway, the episodes are approximately 15 minutes long, so it's all made up in the extras. There's not much to say for this. There's 6 episodes (90 minutes) and the animation is cute and pretty. Its nudity isn't horrible, but Saki is rather detailed, so if you have problems with that kind of thing, just cover your eyes for like, 10 seconds. Nothing offensive. This is one of my worst reviews, sorry.

i for one dont care for the cover that much but for the movie --it was grate ok it starts out with a boy with these kids makeing him go into a mad scienest machin but when he gets in there he fginds a girl liying on the floor that is kurumi the earth shackes and she falls on him and actadenly kisses him do to this his hart started hers . so now he is her master-- he actvated her mock 2 hart he protects him from the milarty but the milarty has the outher 2 steel angels sake and kurenka what are they going to do and who wants to shut kurumi down watch and see for your self----these movies are so funny youll love them

The movie arrived in super condition.I had seen this movie only once many many years ago and had searched for it but did not know the title. Then there it was was on AMC. Had to have it for my collection. Great acting, super plot and an even better ending.

Both Passport DVD's I've had the misfortune of viewing (this one & Plan 9 From Outer Space) have a large "PIP" logo on screen for the entire movie which is extremely distracting & unneccesary. For quality, get the Roan edition.

I got the wrong idea somewhere. When I originally read about this movie I heard it was about a tough gangster, played by Paul Muni, who after death tries to bust out of Hell. I was very excited.

I rented it and it's nothing like that at all! Instead of BRUTE FORCE in Hell this is some overly sappy story about a gangster who dies, is fooled by Satan to go back to Earth and ends up doing good instead of bad.

Anne Baxter is enjoyable (and easy on the eyes), but outside of that I was disappointed in the hokieness of the whole thing.

Nick (Claude Rains) never satisfied with the amount of soles caught, has his hat set for an incorruptible judge. He will recruit Eddie Kagle to replace Judge Fredrick Parker (both played by Paul Muni) in exchange for a second chance at life.

I you were raised Catholic then you will recognize the title as you have a devil on one shoulder and an angle on the other and you are struggling in the middle.

There is great interaction between Paul Muni and Claude Rains. This move takes unexpected twists and turns. I may remind you a little of "The Devil and Daniel Webster "(1941). However no one can play "Nick" as well as Claude Rains.

Eddie was rightfully bumped off by gangsters. You know where he goes. "Nick" (Claude Rains), offers a choice position in exchange for a favor. There is an incorruptible judge that needs corrupting. Now if Eddie would just impersonate him and be corrupted? Well you get the idea.
There is great interaction between Paul Muni and Claude Rains. This move takes unexpected twists and turns. I may remind you a little of "The Devil and Daniel Webster "(1941) ASIN: 6302919517. Angel On My Shoulder A gangster is murdered by his own henchman and is sent to Hell, but the Devil has a deal. Nevertheless Muni gave another energetic performance as the thuggish gangster coping with the strange surroundings of the judge's household and court. But dapper Claude Rains steals the scenes as the calculating and wry 'Nick.' Rains, known for his roles as a suave cad in THE INVISIBLE MAN and CASABLANCA, makes as marvelous a devil in ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER as he did an angel in HERE COMES MR. JORDAN. Anne Baxter also stars in this hilarious comedy made in 1946.
