Awesome DVD!!!.......2007-06-05

I love the re-released version of this dvd. I borrowed a friends and he had the old 1999 release one disc version. It didn't feature chapters or anything. This release is amazing, you can actually choose weather you just wanna watch the music videos, I love that option. This is well worth the money if your a big pantera fan, or just getting to know who they are.

PANTERA is IMMORTAL.......2006-11-04

If you're reading this - then you already know. PANTERA is IMMORTAL. I saw Vulgar Video and Cowboys from Hell years ago, when they were on VHS, and they only get better with age. PANTERA are musical legends, but a bunch of good guys too, and this shows both sides of the coin, with music videos, live footage and everything in between. Buy it.

Pantera strengh in one DVD.......2006-08-21

This DVD maybe is not unknow to Pantera fans. It reunites all 3 home video releases from the Texas band (Cowboys From Hell - The Video; Pantera - Vulgar Video and 3). This was also released in the past, and this re-issue was made available just after Dime's tragedy. The difference between the older and the new versions is that the the new version has chpater stops and 5.1 sound.

Technically this DVD is very good, the sound is clean, although that's not much room for the 5.1 mix. The image is very good on the video clips and live footage, and is grainy on the amateur footage, as expected.

The content of the DVD is nearly perfect. All Pantera's videos, live footage from Russian Monsters of Rock, interviews, behind the stage footage and more.

Highly recommended to metal fans.

Panter and Dimebag at their best!!!!.......2006-07-25

Everybody knows that pantera pretty much defined heavy metal in the 1990s. These videos show the best that pantera ever was!
The fun they had offstage, the drinking, tattoos, mischief, the fireworks, smoking and of course the music.
I can't say enough good things about the video. They're all there: Dime (RIP Brother), Vinnie, Phil and Rex plus all the stage crew.
You won't be sorry : )

Great movie, but very hard to watch.......2007-04-17

This movie is very hard to watch and isn't a very funny one either. It is about a clown that is going broke trying to support himself and his mother. He comes up with a new idea for making money and still doing what he loves and he is raped by his first client. Vulgar doesn't report it as many men that are raped don't out of embarrassment. He then tries to pick up his life as best he could and finally makes it as a television host "Flappy" on a children's show. He makes it very big and one day, his assailants come back to blackmail him into being Vulgar so they can again rape him. To me, this is a very powerful movie about the strength of one man after being raped overcoming his abuse and seeking "justice". This is not a comedy nor is it a "feel good" movie. It is though a movie about strength and courage of one back getting back up and facing his fears.

An abysmal nightmare for clowns.......2007-03-19

Dark, disgusting, wretched. This is not a happy tale. But it is a gripping story of revenge.
I watched this movie a few years ago and thought it was horrible. It's low budget, the acting is bad. But when I found it for sale, something compelled me to purchase it. And no, I don't have a clown fetish.
Brian Christopher O'Halloran(Dante from Clerks) plays Flappy/Vulgar the Clown. At a private party, he gets his big red nose shoved face down in the pillow. And then Honk! Honk! His clownhood gets taken.
He then tries to put this tragedy behind him. His life gets turned around (this time for the better) after he saves a young girl from a hostage situation. He gets his own TV show and some financial stability, but his past just won't go away. Time for revenge.
This movie was better the second time around. It's the best clown rape movie of all time.

Weird but worth watching.......2007-03-09

The first time I ever saw this movie I had rented it from the video store. I saw that it had Keven Smith and many others from the View Askewniverse. Thast what drew me to it in the first place, but it is actually VERY VERY different from any of the other ones. But I still liked the movie and so did my sister kinda(I think). Yes it is different from any other KEven Smith movie and alot weirder but it still worth watching. I recommend it, but for any one whos not a Keven Smith Die-Hard fan you might want to rent it first and decide if you want to buy it.

Rape Isn't Funny..........2006-12-29

..unless you're raping a clown, and even then it's still not funny.

It stars Brian O'Halloran (Dante in Clerks/II) as Flappy/Vulgar/Will - a man who has trouble paying his bills and is mocked and laughed at by almost everyone. He works as a clown, performing at parties for kids. He rents himself out as a transvestite clown who, as a joke, jumps out of cakes at bachelor parties. On the day of his debut performance, he's drugged and gang-raped by three men. The rape scene wasn't as horrific as I thought it would be.

O'Halloran is a brilliant actor when it comes to him playing these whiny,weak characters. Mostly everything he's been in, you just want to hug him and tell him it's gonna be ok.

This movie is called a "dark comedy", but there was nothing funny about it. It was a very good movie, anyway.

WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?.......2005-06-22

First off let me tell you that Pantera even after long gone now, still kicks major ass, and this DVD proves it. The 3 VHS home videos in one, WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR? Well ok, you could ask for a little chapter division so you can skip to wherever part of the videos youd like to see but hey, if this is the only way to appreciate this tremendous band in their heyday, f** it! just enjoy it , man. But if you are the kind of mofo who likes to bug about every little detail then f*** off @sshole! Pantera rules! and Dimebag lives on! The best behind the scenes look Ive seen in a long time, every time I check this DVD out I cant help but feel overjoyed and sad at the same time. Overjoyed for all the hillarious footage and sad for the death of one of power metal's best guitarists. R.I.P. DIMEBAG. Gone but not forgotten.

Great video on it's own........2005-02-27

I can definately see why some people gave this dvd a low rating. If you've got any of the original pantera videos it's a waste of money.

However, I must admit that I enjoyed this an aweful lot. The live performances were awesome. My favorite is definately "domination" on the monsters of rock festival in moscow. It's so damn energetic, just makes me want to jump up and break stuff. ^_^. In addition, I really love all of the backstage stuff. These guys are hilarious and the clip with Yngwie Malmsteen in the first video is too funny... "I don't want no donuts!" ooooh man, I still get a good kick out of that.

Anyway, to sum it up, this dvd is worth it as long as you don't have any of the other pantera videos. I don't mind not being able to skip to scenes, it does bring back the older days of metal where you would always watch the bands tour videos on VHS. These guys have some balls and I'd say deserve some respect for being so nuts and wonderful.

Pantera - 3 Vulgar Videos From Hell .......2005-01-22

Great DVD! If you're a fan of the powerhouse known as Pantera, pick this one up, pop it in, and "watch it go." Basically, it contains about 50% footage of them throwin' down live and the remainder of it is candit shots of them on the road - partyin' and blowin' stuff up. It jams. This DVD is special to me since I grew up in the DFW area and went to their shows as a teenager and I my early teens. I will never forget the 94 show at Fair Park when we tore that venue to pieces. It's especially important now due to the death of Dime. Nobody played metal that kind of passion. RIP bro.

I live in Colorado now but this DVD takes me back to my roots of growing up in North Texas - both good times and bad. The only thing that would have made this a 5 out of 5 would be if they left out that clip of this dude getting a zip (...). Thank God for fast forward. All in all, this DVD jams.

Best Performances EVER..........2007-04-14

This DVD contains an equal mix of both old and new Diru (KISOU, VULGAR, WITHERING TO DEATH) and they even throw in one of the poppier songs, JESSICA. Kyo actually smiles for once when he sings that one, lol. ^_^ The editing on this DVD is the best I've ever seen on anything. The only way you can tell it wasn'y all recorded at the same time is the fact Kyo's hair keeps switching between jet black and blonde. My favorite has to be THE FINAL, with the awesome pyrotechnics. Watching this makes me wish I was there, but alas... they'll probably NEVER come to SEATTLE.

Makes me wish I could BE there..........2007-04-14

This DVD is pretty slick, and contains some of DIR EN GREY's best performances. There is an equal mixture of old and new Diru (KISOU, VULGAR, WITHERING TO DEATH) and the editing and camera angles were done really well. Aside from the fact Kyo's hair keeps switching between blonde and black, I would swear it was all recorded at once, at one show. The best performance on here hasta be THE FINAL, the pyrotechnics kick in at just the right moment. I cry everytime I watch this, wishing I was there in the front... but alas, they'll probably NEVER come to SEATTLE or PORTLAND...
