Good collection.......2005-08-19
Although not extensive, this is still a good compilation of BTO. All the hits are here and the sound is very good. It could have stood to have a few more songs, but other than that, it's good. I definately recommend it.
Listen to this!!!!!.......2004-06-12
This is a wonderful colection of songs with peppy beat and a great base line. Enjoyable for the whole family. I also recomend other outstanding CDs by Bachman Turner Overdrive which are also carried by Amazon.
Did you hear that??? I sure did!!!.......2004-05-15
The most boring and agonizing collection of flatulant noise ever committed to CD. Well, maybe passing gas would be a bit more interesting...but not as enduring!
After Molson, The Best Thing Canada's Ever Produced...........2003-12-01
Decent compilation, even though it really tails off after track 8. My advice would be to save your cash on this one and pluck down the extra money on the 2 disc "BTO Anthology" set.
Everything's Here.......2003-11-01
Bachman Turner Overdrive was formed from the roots of Guess Who with members Randy Bachman and Chad Allen, who left before he performed in any songs on this disc. The list of songs on this site is kinda screwed up so here is the track listings:
1. Gimme Your Money Please: 8/10 Their first song, it is okay but good considering it was their first song as BTO
2. Blue Collar: 8/10 Overlong, but I like the solo at the end.
3. Takin' Care of Business 10/10 BTO at their best.
4. Let It Ride 10/10 Great song, but is never played on the radio.
5. Roll On Down the Highway 10/10 Another great song that is never played on the radio, you can see what a great guitarist Randy Bachman is by the solo at the end.
6. You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet 10/10 Great song, tenth highest selling heavy metal single ever!
7. Hey You! 9/10 Good song, no relation to the Pink Floyd song.
8. Take It Like a Man 8/10 Solid song with Little Richard on backing vocals and paino
9. Looking out for #1 9/10 I changed this one from seven to nine because it is one of those songs that gets better with age. Check out C. F. Turner on slide guitar. Also a nice solo at the end.
10. Shotgun Rider 9/10 A western song? Doesn't match their personality, but is still a cool song and a great acoustic solo at the end.
11. I'm In Love 3/10 Worthless song only notable because it has Jim Clench on bass who replaced Randy Bachman and also first song as BTO.
12. Heartaches 8/10 Last BTO charted song.
It has all of their good songs, too bad Randy Bachman left or they could have had many more.

Not Fragile Over You.......2007-01-14
This is an anchor album in any classic rock collection. BTO has never duplicated the greatness of this effort.
Pure Thunder.......2006-10-06
A friend gave me this album in 1974 for my 13th birthday. I'd heard Roll On Down the Highway and You Ain't Seen Nothin'Yet on the radio and really liked these songs, but I hadn't heard anything else on the album. I didn't have my own stereo at the time, so I waited until the next day when I got home from school and my parents were still at work to listen to it. I put the record on the turntable of my Dad's stereo (one of those self-contained console furniture looking things), cranked up the volume (it had massive wattage - volume went to 11!)and then proceded to get slammed against the wall by the opening track - Not Fragile. I wasn't expecting this; it was heavy, and all of a sudden, a whole new world of hard rock opened up to me. I still love that song - pure thunder. Sledgehammer also has that "in your face" punch and is also great cranked at full blast. The album as a whole is very strong. Some excellent guitar riffs and leads, some with pop-oriented hooks, some really heavy, and all foot-tappin' rock and roll. The only song I never really got into was "Givin it all away", but that's just my personal thing. I have this album on vinyl and will be getting the CD so I can blow the windows out of my car.
The Perfect Classic Hard Rock Album.......2006-04-13
After a few false starts , Bachman-Turner Overdrive deliver the goods big time! Randy Bachman had been knockin' around different Canadian bands for years. As guitar player for Chad Allen's Arrows he befriends a teenage Neil Young (who's band The Squires usually played the same gigs), buying Neil one of his first Gretsh guitars. Bachman stays with Chad Allen as that band evolves into the Guess Who, pumping out hit after hit after hit.Bachman has always been a very professional musician with chops galore, he bristled at the sloppiness that success and substance abuse brought to his band so he quit. He goes on to form Brave Belt and then Bachman-Turner Bachman until these aggregations finally evolve into Bachman-Turner Overdrive.Their first two LP's contained some very interesting songs along with some songs that seemed premature. However , this , their third album nails the blueprint of rock 'n' roll for all to hear. Perfect from beginning to end , this album shines in ways we had not thought of before. From the opening chords of "Not Fragile" to the jazz stylings of "Rock Is My Life" to the thundering C.F.Turner track "Roll On Down The Highway" , this album promises so much one wonders "can they sustain this?". It does not let up , just continues to snowball , Blair Thornton Trading guitar licks with Bachman in some very tasty left-right channel duels.
Side two of the original LP crushes the competition with the 1-2-3-4 punch of "Sledgehammer" , "Blue Moanin'" , "Second Hand" & "Givin' It All Away". Givin' it all away indeed! This album rocks from beginning to end , brilliant production. One of my all-time favorite rock instrumentals closes out side one , "Freewheelin'" contains a guitar duet worthy of Clapton & Allman. No wonder as it is dedicated to the 'Skydog' himself. The band would never return to these hieghts , some great songs would be in their future , but no more great albums. This was their diamond , and it truly sparkles.
Great music.......2006-02-23
This CD is my husband's favorite band. He had lost the cassette from eons ago and was lamenting not being able to hear it. I knew I could find it at Amazon.com, so I ordered it without telling him it was on the way. He was thrilled!
One of the best QUALITY albums done by anyone!.......2005-06-23
This album will ROCK you down to your roots! If you listen to it while driving, it will be an accessory to a speeding ticket. I like all kinds of music, but this is one of my favorite albums and one that I choose when I really want to get from point "A" to point "B" fast.

The essential BTO album.......2005-06-22
In 1970, Randy Bachman left the Guess Who because of clashes between him and other members. He converted to Mormonism and was in disdain with the band's environment. Three years later, he formed BTO and their first album flopped. Their sophomore record, aptly titled BTO II, was a commercial breakthrough and revived Bachman's career. It is considered an essential album and no classic rock collection is complete without it. I would highly recommend this and the Guess Who albums with Bachman.
4.5 stars - a solid sophomore effort.......2005-03-24
Bachman-Turner Overdrive II (1973.) Bachman-Turner Overdrive's second album.
Despite Randy Bachman's initial post-Guess Who projects bombing, by the mid-seventies he had settled in a band that was destined to do well - the aptly-named Bachman-Turner Overdrive. The group evolved from Brave Belt, an early post-Guess Who Bachman band. When Randy Bachman joined forces with C.F. Turner, the results were astonishing. The new version of the group released their debut in 1973. Despite being a commercial failure (although the music was good), the group endured. Bachman-Turner Overdrive II, the group's second album, was released before the end of the year, and it fared better commercially, spawning some big hits. Read on for my review of it.
The first BTO album was excellent, but tanked commercially. With this album, the band created an album that was both excellent and well-received by the public. People who hadn't heard Bachman since his Guess Who days were beginning to rediscover the forgotten rocker - this was, in more ways than not, his comeback album. The band's style, which fused elements of American southern-style rock, rhythm and blues, and pop rock, peaked on this album. Two huge hits came from this album - the down-to-earth, gritty classic rock of Let It Ride, and the classic pop-rock anthem, Takin' Care Of Business (the latter has since become the band's biggest hit.) But as with the releases most rock and roll artists put out, you've gotta go beyond the hits to get the most out of the album. The classic rock of the opening track, Blown, really must be heard to be appreciated. Also not to be overlooked is the Creedence Clearwater Revival-style rock of Stonegate. A minor hit for the group, the hard rocker Welcome Home, is one of the album's strongest tracks. Bachman serves up some of his best riffs here. Give It Time and I Don't Have To Hide are underrated gems that must not be overlooked. My personal favorite song on the album, though, would have to be Tramp. This hard rocker comes from a hobo's point of view. Sound silly? Yeah, it is. The lyrics in this track, at times, are laughable, but in my opinion they add to its charm. And the instrumentation is what matters most, as the track demonstrates. There's not a single weak track here. If you like Bachman-Turner Overdrive and you only want to get one of their albums, this would be a fine choice.
Sadly, the Bachman-Turner Overdrive catalogue (with the exception of some hits compilations and the Not Fragile album) seems to be fading from store shelves. This stuff is long overdue for reissuing! Remasters with expanded liner notes and bonus tracks are LONG overdue. What's the record company waiting for?
In the end, this stands strong as one of the band's best albums of all - and it's the ideal place for any new fan to start their collection. Of all of the albums Randy Bachman released in the seventies, this is arguably the best one of all. If you're a fan of classic rock, your classic rock collection is far from complete without this album. If you like classic rock and/or Randy Bachman, don't hesitate to pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.
BTO Beat The Sophmore Jinx.......2005-02-07
Bachman-Turner Overdrive beat the sophmore jinx and come up with a wonderful second album on II. Such standards as "Let It Ride" (sung by Fred Turner) and "Takin' Care Of Business" (sung by Randy Bachman) show the contrast between Turner's gruff scream and Bachman's smoother singing, although both are rooted in the Memphis-Chicago-Texas-St. Louis-New Orleans-Detroit-Philadelphia-Kansas City blues/R&B/soul/rock & roll tradition. Another standout on this album is "Welcome Home", which was never released as a single. This is an album you should definitely purchase.
W H E W ! ! ! ! ! THIS ONE LEAVES YA EXHAUSTED............2004-11-11
BTO's big break in the states........early '74 saw the release of the three-and-a-half-minute single version of "Let It Ride" (this disc's got the full version, with C.F.'s supersonic screaming intact). And "Takin' Care Of Business" saw us all through the summer of '74.
But there's a lot more to this effort--in fact, see if you can make it thru the album's first half without being totally pooped. In fact, the opener, "Blown"--a real "window-smasher" of a rocker--gets the adrenaline pumping right away, to say the least........Randy Bachman's famous "Long-Kamm Slide" is the icing on the cake with this track. It's amazing "Blown," which was the most-played album track on FM stations 30 years back, hasn't made it onto today's rigid Classic Rock playlists.
A Randy Bachman composition, "Welcome Home," is an indication of how wily the man could be; it's not for nothing that he's considered one of rock's great robbers.....hear, for instance, his amusing jazz guitar solo which rounds out the track (after he's all done yelling the song's title at the very top of his lungs for the umpteenth time.
"Stonegates" is five-and-a-half minutes of solid fun. The album begins to sputter and fritz a bit with "Give It Time" and "Tramp" (it hurts that they're both the same tempo and beat); but overall, this is great stuff, still a helluva lotta fun today.
A good one from start to finish.......2001-08-19
This really is a good lp, now cd. Bought this when it came out, and just loved it, still do. Sad it's the only one by them I can stand to listen to. As far as I can tell, You buy this one and you have their greatest hits.

If you only want One BTO CD.......2006-07-18
This is a very good collection of their hits. The remastered sound is a revilation in itself. It's very crisp and clear allowing you to fully enjoy the songs. Also BTO is great driving music. Cruising long distances are no problem with songs like these. Pop the CD in the player and Roll Down The Highway.
hard to explain.......2006-01-31
bachman turner overdrive the band that will be remembered most of all for the song "you ain't seen nothin' yet" just like steppenwolf are remembered for "born to be wild" but just like steppenwolf "bachman turner overdrive" are more than a one hit wonder band that made some gigantic slices of ballsy rock
one being the song that featured in the smash hit film [a knights tale]
"takin' care of business" a rockin' tune to shake away those cobwebs
on this album you get the greatest cause of all
"lookin' out for number one" only kidding caring for others is important too but a classic tune anyhoo
"down down" not the status quo hit this is a rockin tune
the other highlights are "can we all come together"
being a very innuendo song
and the beating of the drum "jamica" MAN
backman turner overdrive proved to me that's there's more to commerical selling of a song and that you can make classic sounding songs at a drop of a hat..."you ain't seen nothin' yet"
You Ain't Heard Nothing Yet.......2005-12-23
This compilation isn't bad from a guitarist/singer/songwriter with the storied history of Randy Bachman. Randy joined a group in 1960 known as "Chad Allen and the Expressions". They had a hit with "Shakin' all Over". When Chad left, the group was renamed " The Guess Who " Guess who was used as a gimmick on an early recording as "Guess Who?" and the name stuck. When Randy left "The Guess Who" he started a group named "Brave Belt" that put out a two sided hit "Another Way Out/Dunrobin's Gone". This band morphed into "Bachman-Turner Overdrive" or just plain old "BTO". While many of their commercial hits are here, this is a band that churned out at least eleven albums (a couple without Bachman) including a live in Japan offering with the added bonus of Mountain's "Mississippi Queen" on it. Randy also had bands with the names of "Union" and "Ironhorse" both of which put out albums as well as recordings under his own name. In addition to the playlist on this album other songs that should have been included are "Not Fragile, Sledgehammer, Find Out About Love, Quickchange Artist and Hold Back the Water" to name a few. So much for a complete set. I was lucky enough to see a reformed "Guess Who" this past year and the biggest cheers went up for songs like "Taking Care of Business, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Roll on Down the Highway". Some people may consider "BTO" commercial and overplayed and on certain tunes its probably true but the audience and Bachman knows what they like. Straight ahead "working man" rock and roll. Now if we can just get "BTO" to put their past squabbles behind them and reform. What a blast from the past that would be.
BACHMAN-TURNER OVERVIEW.......2005-10-14
The cocky title of this rock riffin' Canadian quartet's first greatest hits package was originally THE BEST OF B.T.O.-SO FAR, the worst case of overconfidence since Custer advised against taking prisoners. Their five biggies are here in all their soundalike glory, but unfortunately for the band, the party was soon over after that. C.F. Turner's gravelly, workman-like growl serves the best numbers LET IT RIDE and ROLL ON DOWN THE HIGHWAY well, even tho' Randy Bachman's TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS and YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET got more airplay. The fifth and inevitably final hit HEY YOU was merely a laughable retread of all the above; at least they switched gears for the jazzy BLUE COLLAR and LOOKIN' OUT FOR NUMBER ONE. Bachman's first group, the Guess Who, displayed more variety and depth on their early classics AMERICAN WOMAN and THESE EYES, but as his second act, B.T.O's short reign is documented decently enough here. Bonus points for the trio of bonus tracks, hence the new, less ironic album monicker. RATING: FOUR GEARS
BTO's the way to go........2005-05-12
This cd is good but not great. I just don't think 12 songs is enough greatest hits for bachman turner overdrive. This is missing a whole lot of other great songs. This is a pretty good cd if you are just into Bachman Turner Overdrive a little bit but if you really like Bachman Turner Overdrive like I do than you better get the Anthology. I bought the Anthology and it was great. So if your a huge fan of Bachman Turner Overdrive then get the Anthology. Keep listening to great classic rock and please pray for our men and women that are fighting in Iraq for America.

Great value, and only a few average songs. The rest are great!
The BEST Bachman-Turner Overdrive collection!.......2006-11-18
This is the best BTO collection available! It contains all their hits and many essential album cuts. From the first time I heard "Gimme Your Money Please" on the radio in 1973 I was hooked. They were one of the hardest rocking and most successful bands of the mid-70's. You will know why after listening to this set! Unless you are a hardcore fan that wants all their albums, this should be all the BTO you need. Highly recommended!
Part Of The Essential Bachman-Turner Overdrive Library.......2006-10-12
GOLD, along with NOT FRAGILE, BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE II, and ANTHOLOGY, is part of the essential Bachman-Turner Overdrive library. This double-disc set features 35 songs, including all of the hits and important album tracks, and unlike the earlier ANTHOLOGY, no alternate takes or unreleased cuts. Even if you own this one, you'll still want BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE II and NOT FRAGILE, the band's finest proper albums.
Good Compilation Poor Remastering.......2006-09-04
This isn't a bad compilation but the remastering is poor, I have a lot of other remastered cd's of music from the same era and the remastering is far superior. Doesn't any other BTO fans think that it's time BTO2, Not Fragile & 4wd deserve to be remastered as full albums, Not Fragile could be done as a Hybrid SACD as they have the Quadraphonic mix which has been released as a DTS CD.BTO were a big band in there day worldwide and a lot of bands who only sold half of what BTO have sold have had their back catalogue remastered.
Many BTO collections, but this one is the best.......2006-07-30
BTO has long been a guilty pleasure for me. They were a straight-ahead blue collar rock band with catchy riffs that avoided the endless noodling common to other bands of the era. These guys could rock but their radio-friendly style kept the bills paid. Nothing wrong with that!
Much of it is pure pop but so what? They played and sang their own stuff and the songs were fun. This album sounds great and makes up for the inferior collections that came before with all the hits plus the essential album cuts like "Not Fragile". Dig the low price for a complete career-spanning two-disc set, too.
Lots of bands today could learn a thing or too by dropping the attitude and playing for the fans. That's what BTO did and in their own way, they helped a lot of us lighten up and enjoy the ride.

Great Anthology.......2006-11-10
This CD kicks butt!! I wish these guys would come back. Randy has a very good solo career and often goes back to Guess Who for re-unions but where's Fred? This group should have a re-union. This is a great overview of BTO's career.
The Hardest Rocking Band Of The Seventies! And They Still Sound Great!.......2006-08-11
I grew up listening to Bachman-Turner Overdrive during my late teenage years and I have yet to hear a Hard Rock Band which gets close to their distict and unique sound. This very fine CD set contains most of their best songs including "Roll On Down The Highway" with C.F. Turner's gravelly and very strong vocal work and I was happy to also find "Take It Like A Man" which includes some excellent piano work from Little Richard. This band sounds as fresh today as they did 30 years ago so crank up your stereo amplifier into Overdrive and rock with these guys. Next to Catherine Mary Stewart these guys are Canada's geatest export!
BTO Anthology is GREAT!.......2006-03-03
LOVE this CD set. It includes all the songs you'd want and more. Worth every penny!
Happy to find this one .......2005-08-09
This band is amazing i'm only 17 but I happen to find this band through I friend that is a year older and fell in love with every song especially let it ride and take it like a man. I hate long reviews so try to make it short every song on here is amazing Randy Bachman must be the most talented canadian rocker (becides maby neil young) if your into classic rock/classic metal at all then pick this up please don't buy into people saying they only have 10 good songs it's just not true. I am now on my way to having all there sperate albums but this is a amazing place to start.
I now remember why I LOVED this group when I was younger ..........2004-08-04
This collection is simply awesome. All of their great hits plus lots of gems (the title track from "Not Fragile", the jamming live "Don't Get Yourself in Trouble", and the underrated "Shotgun Rider" to name a few). Excellent collection for BTO fans. Also comes with an informative booklet. One of the underrated great groups of the 70's.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive's finest hour.......2005-01-08
Bachman-Turner Overdrive (1973.) Bachman-Turner Overdrive's first album.
When Randy Bachman left the Guess Who, he was taking a huge gamble with his career. And when he failed to find commercial success with his first solo album, or with his new band, Brave Belt, it seemed that the gamble was not working out in his favor. Brave Belt was in the process of recording their third album when the band was reinvented. The newly-formed groupt hat evolved from the ashes of Brave Belt was the appropriately-named Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO for short.) The album that was going to be Brave Belt III ended up becoming the first BTO album. Read on for my review of this album.
The first BTO album is considerably better than anything that followed, even if it was a commercial failure. In my opinion, all of BTO's work is good, but I also feel that the band kind of "sold out" after this album, taking on a more pop-oriented sound in an attempt to get a larger audience. This album captures the band in their short-lived prime, at the end of the Brave Belt era but before the beginning of the BTO popularity era. Randy Bachman and C.F. Turner really are at their best on this album. The band's performance of southern, bluesy-styled rock is so excellent, you'll find it hard to believe that Randy Bachman is a Canadian! Being a commercial failure means nothing in my eyes. Randy and the guys never sounded this good before this album, and they never would again. Five stars.
Unfortunately, there's a huge problem with this and most of the Bachman-Turner Overdrive catalogue - VERY poor distribution. With the exception of the band's second album and the classic Not Fragile, and hits compilations, the band's work (especially this album) is nearly impossible to find on CD (I had to download it at Apple's iTunes music store.) Hopefully the record company will reissue them soon - I'm sure people don't want to pay upwards of thirty bucks for one album like so many have been forced to do on eBay.
This is Bachman-Turner Overdrive's finest hour, and it pisses me off that the album didn't do better, because it really is their best work. Hard to believe, but most AMERICAN southern rock bands couldn't do southern-style rock this good! If you come across this album at your local used CD shop, do not hesitate to purchase it.
The first was the best.......2002-12-11
Some bands need time to get up to stride; others come up with their best stuff when they still toiled in relative obscurity. BTO fits in the latter. Their first album is easily their best, starting off right away with "Gimme Your Money Please", a tune sure to please with the heavy guitar riffs and snarling vocals of C F Turner. That's followed by "Hold Back the Water", which was the flip side of the single "Blue Collar", which is also great. You may remember "Blue Collar" as a bluesy tune; unfortunately the band never explored that side of their music much, because this track works. Other good tracks include "Stayed Awake All Night" and "Down and Out Man", a rare vocal by early member Tim Bachman. Commercial success probably led them to go down the safe and easy path with subsequent releases, although their fourth album "Four Wheel Drive" rebounds a bit before the band personnel changed and BTO plummeted. This album and "Four Wheel Drive" are the ones you want. If you're a fan, the other albums work, too. But this is their best one, hands down.
Underated beyond belief!.......2002-04-12
Trust me on this one folks... if you love down to earth, foot stomping, feel good rock and roll, get this album. Anyone that loves Takin Care of Business or Roll on Down The Highway will think those tunes were just afterthoughts. This is the real deal. You want energy?... you want power?... you wanna boogie???...then by all means...get this album! This is what BTO is all about. This is what got people to sit up and take notice, however, they were forced to produce album number 2 before this one even had the chance of being heard. Being a fan of BTO in the early 70's, I can't help but realize that these guys seemed to get shoved waaaayyyy to quickly towards stuff like "Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" and "Hey You". To really appreciate what these guys were all about you have to get this album. Trust me, it stands the test of time. In today's world of tecno-pop and all the other garbage that gets shoved down our throats, here is an album that will refresh your memory as to what good ole fashioned, raw, full-bodied rock'n roll is all about. For anyone that goes out and buys a new sports car... or just wants to drive down the road carefree for awhile...pop this album on for the duration. I promise...you'll come back from that drive feeling rejuvenated. BTO at their best...I knew it then when I was 14...and still know it now at 43! Songs that stand out on the album...Gimme Your Money Please... Hold Back The Water...Little Gandy Dancer...Stayed Awake All Night... Don't Get Yourself In Trouble...Down and Out Man... I haven't even mentioned "Blue Collar", which was the hit from the album! These guys will be back!!! On a side note... it was said that John Bonham of Led Zeppelin was a "banger" as a drummer. Funny thing is he was and still is considered one of the best all time rock drummers. All I have to say is, that if you like "bangin" and deep, tight, strong sounding drums, then lemme tell ya Robbie Bachman delivers 100% in the same manner on this outing! Go get it!
Music that never goes away.......2000-10-03
BTO does one of the best jobs of using the rock guitar to its potential of any group in history. They also mix it with melodic arrangements, and the result is several all-time gems. This album and 'Head On' are must rock albums. One of my five favorite bands ever, I'd buy anything with BTO or Randy Bachman on the label.
A good debut album........2000-05-16
BTO started showing what they were about from the start. "Gimmie Your Money Please" is a good rocker. "Stayed Awake All Nite" is my favorite. This song is the closet to what you will find on "Not Fragile" and "Four Wheel Drive." Overall, not a bad start.

Excellent album - and you'll hear the difference!.......2006-03-14
I was skeptical of the higher price going with this remastered album until I heard it for myself.
let me just say - great music, beautifully recorded. It IS worth the extra cost. Well worth it.
I hope they do this with Four Wheel Drive and the others, too - though it'll mean duplicating my collection!
The *best* BTO album, hands down. Get it NOW!!!.......2005-05-18
I have to say that The Guess Who, Randy Bachman's previous band, was consistently more great, but you have to realize that BTO was at the time forging into the infant world of Heavy Metal and made some amazing contributions.
Sure, they weren't EVER much to look at, being fat and hairy beyond all coolness, and the drumming and bass work was sub-par by any standards. But Randy had such a cool handle on inventing chord progressions and the melodies and leads to go with them that he transcended all the band's shortcomings.
Randy Bachman WAS BTO the same way Kerry Livgren WAS Kansas. "Head On" proves that, and having his face on the cover is totally apropos. The vinyl version was designed to fold out into a poster four times the size of the front cover, with each member's face taking up a quadrant of the whole. I had mine up on the wall and kept my record on the turntable most of the time! When I played another record, I would put Head On in that sleeve, so I always knew where my copy of Head On: in the cover of the record on the turntable.
If you've never heard this album and you are a BTO fan, I dare you to listen to 'Find Out About Love' without it sticking in your head and echoing in your thoughts for the next three hours. Or try not to snap your fingers during your first listen of the jazz-cool "Looking out for #1".
CF Turner's voice always makes me giggle because he sounds like he has a phlegm bubble in his throat and is trying to shake it loose by singing REAL loud. But I learned to love it for it consistency and pure originality. Who sounds anything like him? I can't think of anyone.
If you are a guitarist and you have a good tablature of Looking Out for #1, please email it to me! Thanks!

Just wanted to let all the BTO fans that this is a nice reissue. Beautiful digipak with great sound and 'Down to the Line' as a bonus track. Hope Repertoire decides to reissue other BTO albums. This is truly an underrated classic!
An Overlooked Classic.......2004-04-01
Cool album by BTO, admittedly, not their hardest rockin' but a MUST for any BTO fan. Bonus track Down To The Line should have been a top 40 hit! Fun album to listen to!

Excellent Original Performance Music!.......2006-06-15
This is original middle eastern music that will get your performance noticed! I am the amateur Bellydancer USA 2006 winner and I danced to Turbo Tabla II when I won. It goes great with Raks Sharki as well as sword, zils, or even veil work. This cd is a must have for any serious bellydancer's music collection. It will make your performance memorable. Shimmy-on.
Superb! Totally danceable! Infectious beat!.......2006-06-15
Karim Nagi does it all in Turbo Tabla! Every song is a keeper! This is a CD any bellydancer must have in their library. He is a master of the beat! His music raks!
There are better CDs out there.......2006-06-03
The quality of the sound is not as good as most CDs. At times the vocals are not crisp and sound muffled. It is also somewhat boring, since it has a very repetitive feel to it. For bellydancing, this CD does not inspire me and it usually does not take much to get me going.
"Turbo Tabla 3" is ok, but this track is also on "Bellydance Superstars, Vol. II", which is a lot better investment.
Awesome beats.......2005-10-23
There is a real driving throb to the beats on this CD that really gets you moving!

the album is spiritual acoustic karma sutra. i loved the bass beats fusion with the instruments of old. this album has me wanting more. in the menatime i now want to go a eatery with this music and see real bellydancing.

Too much Bachman, not enough Turner.......2006-11-18
This is not a bad album and it has some good songs on it. But it is almost a Randy Bachman solo album. Fred Turner (who in my opinion was the better singer in the group) only has one song on the album. I think this contributed to friction within the group as Randy left the band after the release of this album. It was also a commercial flop. I think it would have been better had they allowed Turner to contribute about half the songs as had been done on previous albums.
Overlooked.......2006-09-30
The change of direction put this album into unfamilar waters. Lost in the mudded middle of their traditional tough grinding sound came what "i believe" to be some of their best work. Check out "life still goes on.. (i'm lonely)" and "down down" possibly their best songs ever.
