5 out of 5 stars A Rarity in a World of Mediocrity.......2005-04-24

I discovered this talented Groove-Drum and Bass while shopping at a local Ferndale record store. This is a day I will never forget because my yearnings were fulfilled!

I sampled Beady Belle's CD and didn't even past the 4th track before I was rushing to the counter to purchase this album.

It is so eccentric and exuberant. Beate's voice and the music flows so effortlessly. She was born to sing in this group. Since then, I have become a life long fan and I have also purchased their previous album "Home"! I'd recommend this album to anyone looking for music with real substance and relaxed and mellow instrumentation with words that will make you truly aware of whats going around you!

5 out of 5 stars scandinavians do rule.......2004-07-27

This second outing of this group simply tops the first one eventhough I thought they would have a hard time topping themselves. The sound is more intimate and less drum'n bass, thanks to more involvement by Bugge. Very hip but very subtle. Highly recommended and worth every import price tag.

4 out of 5 stars A Pleasant New Discovery.......2004-07-07

I just returned from this year's Toronto Jazz Festival and found out about this group in the Festival Guide. After reading a review of the group's music and sound,I was definitely intriqued. I found a copy of their latest and was pleasantly blown away. All the descriptions of their sound are true. They are simply a unique and eclectic group that deserves wide recognition. I would've given this release 5 stars except that I found the lyrics odd (subject matter-wise) though they are sung extremely well. Beate (the singer)has a great voice and is a very confident singer. If you're looking for something new, check this out. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Mix of Modern Jazz, Drum and Base, Vocals.......2004-02-06

Very seldom do you find that one jewel in the pile of studio produced garbage these days! If you're looking for mature, funky, smooth, drum and base, acid jazz etc., this is that jewel. Vocals are real and pure and the music...well, trust me, buy this one folks! Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!
P.S. Hip Hoppers, you'll like this one too!
